For those who know God and understand that “all scripture” is given by inspiration, for correction and exhortation so we will know how to live a life that is pleasing to God.
“But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister” (I John 3:5-10 NIV)
Don’t let anyone deceive you into believing that God has changed His mind about what sin is or what it does. People change their minds about what they want to believe and sometimes–the change is to justify actions that are totally against what God says. Regardless of the reason for people changing their minds–sin is still sin and God is still the same God who says in His Word that “He changes not.”
Those who know Him–know His Word–and live His Word because of our relationship with Him–developed over time and in deep commitment to please Him, not self. We know how to love–all, unconditionally–and because we love–we promote the Truth of God’s Word!
Those who do not know Him–but profess a “belief” in Him--have only a surface knowledge without relationship, but fully religious. They attempt to justify their actions and their influence in others to do not live right (according to God’s Word) by saying things like–“Jesus was all about love, He doesn’t care what we do.” What a fallacy! Jesus is all about love and it was because of His Love that He was willing to sacrifice Himself for us! He cares! He demonstrated that He has not stopped loving us because His Words resonate with those of us who Know Him–“…go and sin no more.”
Get into the Word, know what God says, and make a decision to live God’s Word–loving all and not committing acts of sin under the guise of ignorance. Now you know!
