Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’” The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. Luke 4:1-13 NIV
In order to resist the temptation served up by the devil, we have to be full of Holy Spirit, with a heart to hear and obey Him, rather than the dictates of our flesh.
Now, all who have eyes and are being led by Holy Spirit can see through the devil’s lies and all of the promises made are crumbling for all the world to see.
God knows our hearts and our motivations. Since He is love, He abhors hate-mongering and fear-mongering and we know–with all the hate demonstrated in this country, that it was the devil who offered the temptation of change through a narcissistic, fear-mongering demon and those who didn’t have the spiritual discernment to see it, fell for the smooth talking snake-oil salesman.
But of course there was a specific group targeted to engage their loyalty–the low-educated and the ill-informed–the gullible and it worked. Now, though their hatred of all people who don’t look like them was their driving force, they are seeing and will see even more why they were misled.
The media became a pawn in the game of the enemy and he played them like a finely tuned fiddle. Free coverage–never spending his money because that’s not his style.
The tax cuts won’t help anyone who isn’t rich. Another lie perpetuated by the enemy.
The wall won’t be built unless the haters volunteer their time to build it and that will be the extent of the jobs provided–manual labor–for their savior knows they don’t have the educational ability to do anything beyond that. How do we know? He held a baby in his hands and declared, “he looks like a construction worker,” pronouncing the expectation as though that’s all the baby can ever hope for.
And for those poor folks who think didn’t have healthcare before the Affordable Care Act, they’ll be back to square one because no one has a better plan to put in its place.
I’ve concluded because of what The Lord is showing me that buyer’s remorse is rising faster than flood waters and the regret is already real and he has not even been sworn into office. His lawyers are handling the 75 pending lawsuits while he’s avoiding any press coverage. And why is he not allowing the press to travel with him? He doesn’t want any of his true thoughts and conversations to expose him for the devil he really is. The dictator he plans to be.
And the biggest group who fell for the lies–the Evangelical group who was more concerned about party than country. I’m sure they are really proud of themselves for pushing the enemy down people’s throats. If people thought church attendance was bad, they will see–soon enough–the real decimation of trust betrayed. If the church lies to people because they believed the lie–how disappointed is God in those He trusted to hear and obey Him?
Based upon His Word, I can only conclude that they were not filled with Holy Spirit and therefore did not have the power to resist temptation–the temptation to “have authority over people with Supreme Court Appointments.” They forgot, the only authority over anyone’s life should be God, not people. But they didn’t trust God, to be God!
I will hear and obey and do all within my ability and in His strength to help turn the tide of hatred and bigotry and overt racism that now flows freely, unhinged because Americans elected a madman–who only wants to benefit himself.
So renew a right relationship with God and be filled to overflowing with His Spirit so you can see things through spiritual eyes and not allow the dictates of the flesh to blind you. My hope is in Jesus Christ and I will not be tempted by delusions of grandeur and having authority, not rightfully mine. I will continue to write and say what God is saying to my heart until He returns or I can no longer type.
Mary, I can only tell you, that you must obey what God tells us in His inerrant Word…and stop with the “WE voted for the wrong party senario !! I am filled with the Holy Spirit…and am one of those EVANGELICALS that you say got it wrong… I suppose Franklin Graham, and all the other evangelicals got it wrong too !!
Put it to bed Mary…and let Government…picked by a sovereign God…go to work to heal this broken land…
Have a blessed day in the Lord, Mary !!

Bruce,
Apparently, I’ve hit a nerve or something. Why must you believe that everything I say is about you?
But since you asked about Franklin Graham, and all the rest of the Evangelicals–yes, you–not we–got it wrong. Have you paid any attention to the hate that has risen in this country? Perhaps, you’d understand it if you were Black. Someone painted a swastika on a Black woman’s white SUV, “Leave Nigger.” Kids here in school–Asian and Latino, had other kids chanting, “Build the wall” and “you have to go home.” Another Black woman was trying to get gas, and was threatened by a white man. And the list goes on and on. The KKK are planning a victory parade in North Carolina. And others are taunting people–intimidating them. And you want me to quit writing what I write? I don’t think so. The God I serve promotes love, not hate. So, you and the other EVANGELICALS who have proven you don’t trust God, can keep right on doing what you do–trying to control people. And you can all stop lying about this person being God’s choice. That is such a bold-face lie and it will come home to rest on all who promoted it. The Sovereign God I know–doesn’t need cheap tricks and lies to accomplish what He wants. But that lie is upon all of the EVANGELICALS that are causing all the problems we now see, not me!
If God is the authority in a person’s life, no one needs to control them. If a Supreme Court Appointee knows God, that’s all that’s needed. And you have yet to prove to me that God doesn’t give people choices! So, you might want to put that argument to rest.
My education manager has been attending a multinational church for years and had her heart stabbed (she felt like it was) by a racist message posted on FB by her pastor–a white man she had loved and trusted. And you think I’m supposed to keep quiet! I will be loud and long preaching against hatred, bigotry and racism. If you don’t like it–don’t read it. I certainly won’t hold it against you.
As long as there is racism and hatred promoted by the bigoted right or left–I will speak out against it! Count on it! And until you have walked in the path of every hated Black person and can feel what we feel–stop trying to tell me how to do anything. You have not earned that right in my life and the way things are going you won’t since I have to respect a person giving me advice about anything.
Now, the person you and all the rest of the EVANGELICALS should have been trying to counsel is orange-face–the name I’ll refer to him. I’m giving him the same respect he gave President Obama–none!
At this stage of life–I don’t trust anyone who promotes hatred and fearmongering, supports a sexual predator with his narcissistic, megalomaniac mentality. So, you might want to pray about some things and ask God to show you how to respond to hatred, rather than support it.
I’m praying for you and all the other EVANGELICALS who prove you don’t know the God of Heaven or the Bible or you could not promote such a person to lead this country.

Mary, you have a gigantic chip on your shoulder… I am not racist in the slightest… I read what you post, and pray that you could see the forest for the trees… The fact that you support Hillary, who is in favor of partial birth abortions, says all I have to know about your beliefs…
I voted for the Republican party, as I have already noted, because of their pro-life stance, and the filling of the Supreme court seat (or 2 or 3 in the next 4 or 8 years)… We need conservative Supreme court judges to bring back a small government, that our founding fathers wanted… A government based upon godly principles… I am sure you would agree with that…
I pray that eventually Roe vs Wade will be overturned…to help reduce the millions of abortions made every year…
I went to a gala last night to support Choices of the heart…where pregnant girls can get free pre-natal care and hope through the gospel and love…
Planned parenthood is their enemy, because they provide no hope… Thet are in the business of promoting abortions…
Thats about all for now Mary…
Blessings in Christ, bruce

Bruce,
There’s no chip on my shoulder, just utter disbelief at your profession. You are still saying that you don’t trust God to speak to people and guide them and you feel that a racist, bigot is what was needed to lead the country. Do you even see what you’re saying about your trust in God? Your support of a bigot–for any reason tells me a lot about where you stand. There is no justification for supporting Trump–you cannot even make up a reason for it and please–stop blaming God! He knows what’s real and what’s religious rhetoric designed by those with an ulterior motive. GOD DID NOT MAKE A CHOICE FOR US, THE HATRED IN PEOPLE DID!
You may think I have a chip on my shoulder, but I’m beginning to believe you’re wearing blinders. I voted for Hillary because she was the best person for the job. Qualified to be commander-in-chief, not because she supports abortion–which she doesn’t. She supports a woman’s right to choose, but then I guessing, you don’t have a great of respect for women. You certainly seem to think I don’t know what I’m talking about–even when I use The Word of God as a foundation for everything I write. But that’s okay!
As for the Supreme Court appointment–it should never have been a political agenda item by those who say they trust God. I’m beginning to believe that your religion is getting in the way of your relationship with God. My relationship with God is intact and flourishing because I know when I hear Him speak and I obey. I have no desire whatsoever to tell people what to do because I’m praying for them to seek God for themselves and to develop a right relationship with Him–not me.
When you trust God–you don’t worry about what people do. When you attempt to control God, then we all have to worry. I really wish the religious folks would stop lying about God and Hillary, Promoting the lies is not a Christian attribute. “We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free” to hear God, not man or woman.
I’ll tell you what, when Jesus returns and we stand before Him, we’ll see then who was the true believer and obedient to Him and who was just being religious.
Now, that we’re all praying and calling upon The Lord–just as I said would happen, perhaps He’ll be willing to incline His ear to us or He’ll let us wallow in the mess the religious group made.

Mary, your understanding about the sovereignty of God is missing !! I am not blaming God for His choice of a President… You say you understand scripture, but don’t acknowledge that God is in absolute control of everything in the universe… I thank God, that He is giving us a chance to turn this country around…
We won’t have to wait until Jesus returns Mary…to see who was right and who was wrong… It will be evident, when this country comes together and the neglected people of this country that live in our cities that have been under democratic control for sometime 90 years, are turned around by a President that cares…
I am not going to respond to a reply, which I am absolutely sure you just have to make…

Bruce,
Believe what you will and please respect my right to do the same! I probably understand sovereignty better than you do, since I know–our Sovereign God–The supreme authority in our lives–does not need us to control others when that is His independent role. If He is sovereign in my life; I’ll trust Him to be the same in others and He allows us to choose, not dictate the control of others.
And yes, I will always respond to comments on my blog for the sake of clarity. I wouldn’t want anyone to be misled by a lack of response. 🙂
