Everyday I Wake Up!

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:  Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:21-26 NIV

Everyday that I wake up, I am reminded of God’s goodness towards me. Though I have challenges with respiratory issues, and joint and muscle aches, and circulatory issues, I am counting on Him to provide me with relief and inspiration.  Nothing is too hard to face when we know God is on our side; He will be our rearguard and frontline. When we know we are surrounded by His love and held in His embrace, we have nothing to fear. For what can the enemy do against love?

Love–the cure-all for everything that ails us as individuals and as a nation. We can never be all that God plans for us to be without knowing how to love others. When we let go of the hatred we feel against others because of our own insecurities, God can and will fill hearts to overflowing with love, wisdom, and direction in making the world a better place for all human beings.

So, everyday–I wake up inquiring of God–what can I do today to make life better for someone else? Sometimes, a smile is all it takes and other days, it takes a little more.

How can I make life better for others as President of the United States? I can begin by realizing–if elected–that I have to govern for all Americans and consider all Americans in every decision made.

I have to make the best decisions possible for those with I agree and those with whom I don’t agree; with those I know who love me for who I am and for those who hate me because of the color of my skin or my gender or my age or my audacity in running for president in the first place.

I have to govern for those who believe as I believe and for those who don’t. I have to govern–respecting everyone’s right to make decisions for themselves as long as they do not violate the Constitution or other laws or infringe upon the rights of others.

I have to govern knowing I’ll have to make tough decisions that some won’t like but I’ll have to think beyond the moment and consider all those who will come after me.

I have to govern understanding the role of Congress and the Judiciary as well as the Executive Branch of government.

I have to govern with a mindset to protect Americans and America’s interests on a global level.

I have to govern knowing I don’t know everything, but counting on God and His infinite wisdom to guide me in all things. This is how I know I can make life better for all Americans–by considering all Americans–and not a personal or party agenda.

When Wrongs Rise!

A false witness will perish, but a careful listener will testify successfully. The wicked put up a bold front but the upright give thought to their ways. There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord. Proverbs 21: 28-31 NIV

The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper. Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses. When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive. Proverbs 28:25-28 NIV

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:13-17 NIV

There is no time in history in which wrongs committed did not surface for all to see. Since there is nothing new under the sun, we can expect the wrongs committed now and in the 2016 election to rise to the surface for all to see and understand how we came to be in this place of chaos and disorder.

The Word from James says it best; “where there is envy and selfish ambition, we’ll find disorder and every evil practice.” Think about that for a moment.

Who has benefitted from the 2016 election? Who is reversing policies that protected the consumer and the poor? Who has installed family members in the White House who are using their positions to enrich their bank accounts? Who hated President Obama so much they are constantly trying to outdo or undo everything President Obama did for the sake of all Americans? Who has stirred up hate and conflict with their rhetoric and promotion of violence? Who has “removed the hate groups” from the terror watch and eased gun restrictions so the hate groups can harm themselves–in readiness for the coup to take over the government, demolishing democracy? Who indeed is about to reap what they have sown?

It is truly unfortunate that people’s lives were put at risk when the shooting that occurred in Virginia on yesterday and it’s equally unfortunate that the shooter apparently had his sights set on Republicans. I’m not condoning violence in any form and I’m praying for the victims as well as the family of the shooter. But this is the result of frustration–brought about by a lack of trust in the current leadership and those in Congress. None of the policies under discussion will benefit the poor and the needy and in deed will cause them more harm. I don’t know if this is the reason the shooter pulled the trigger; this is only speculation on my part. When people are frustrated beyond measure and can get no relief from a government that is supposed to consider all Americans, they take their frustration and desperation out on others–causing even more problems.

I pray the shooting incident will lead to Congressional Accord between the parties and they will work together to solve our nation’s problems and come up with solutions that will benefit all, not just the rich. It should not matter which part holds the majority in Congress if they all care about all Americans–compromise should be possible and even mandated to ensure democracy works in this country.

Where there is no clear leadership (as we have seen for the past six months), militia groups rise and thrive creating even more discord as they perpetuate the promotion of fear, hate, and violence. I would hope that we can prevent this from rising to a level of no-return but all of us, must be vigilant and wise in all we do. Leadership in positions of authority is needed to keep this country on the right track and that means we must vote–exercising wisdom.

I’m counting on wisdom from above to guide all in 2020 as I seek the presidency, providing a strong, clear voice that advocates for all Everyday Americans.

Praying For Safety!

Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race, Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts. May the Lord silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue–those who say, “By our tongues we will prevail; our own lips will defend us–who is lord over us?” “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan I will now rise,” says the Lord. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race. Psalm 12 NIV

For all who are participating in the March For Truth and other events around the world–demanding truth, equality and justice for all, I’m praying for your safety. God is with us and He smiles upon all who are fighting to defend the rights of the poor and vulnerable. Unfortunately for those of us in America, with trump in the White House–we are all vulnerable–since he has proven he has no ability for critical thinking or compassion on those who are less fortunate (financially–for he is morally depleted) than he is.

Father in the name of Jesus,

We know You are the same God–yesterday, today and forever. Whatever You did in the past to protect those who valiantly fought for justice and equality in the past, You will continue to do today and in the future. Encourage hearts in the face of evil and remind those marching You are going before them and no weapon lodged against them shall prosper. Strengthen their bodies and renew energy and determination to keep moving forward in Your strength, never wavering or being enticed by evil. Peace be upon everyone who knows The Lord and how to conduct themselves decently and in order. Thank You for hearing and answering prayer, to Your glory. Amen!

Remember the battle is not ours–it is the Lord’s and He shall conquer and we will be victorious in all we do that honors Him.

Be blessed and stay safe. Never allow the provocation of evil to determine your path; laugh in its face and keep it moving.

Looking forward to hearing the excerpts of victory resulting from this day and all those to come until we rid ourselves of the menace in the White House.

While you’re marching, think about the kind of “real change” we need to see in Washington and remember 2020 election is coming.
