No Checks/No Balance Of Power

Don’t know how many people feel about the current state of affairs in America with the lack of respect for our Constitution. Considering the fact that the Founding Fathers understood that at some point, the time would come when the balance of power would be challenged and we’re here. This White House administration has flatly refused to honor the Constitutional features of checks and balances and is operating as an authoritarian entity. That is not what America is supposed to be.

In 2017, the GOP Congress–both House and Senate–abdicated their responsibility to keep trump checked and in 2018–the people spoke and won the House. Even though the Democratic House has the Congressional Power to do its oversight, they are meeting roadblock after roadblock with the administration who obviously has much to hide from the public. And that’s the key. The White House is the “People’s House” and everything that pertains to the American public should be public knowledge–especially “private meetings with our adversaries, trump’s taxes, and his business financials. The liar-in-chief is hiding the truth for a reason and we, the American public, should not be left in the dark about what he’s doing or has done and we need to know how obligated he is to the murderous dictators he’s so fond of praising.

Granted, the House can’t stop who he praises, but they can take other measures that limit his ability to put America in harm’s way. An impeachment inquiry is needed ASAP! Donald J. Trump is a threat to national security since he obviously shares information with his foreign dictator buddies. He has openly revealed his plans to use Russian or any other foreign assistance to help cheat during the 2020 election. I’m absolutely sure our intelligence community is aware of all the communications he and staff make to ensure this happens. I’m equally sure that he can be stopped.

It’s time, House Democrats to put a lid on this situation before it boils over and severely creates a crisis of humongous proportions in which many will lose their lives. War with Iran is not out of the question and since his 4th of July charade was apparently an attempt to recruit to the military, he underscores that possibility.

There can be no balance of power within our government if every branch of the government is not exercising all of its ability to check the White House. Congressional Oversight is meant to be a check on the Executive branch in order to keep “all Americans” safe and secure within this country. We are failing miserably because Democrats follow the rule of law. So, the judicial branch, no matter how overtly biased in its composition, must adhere to the “intent and spirit” of the Constitution (as well as the words) to support Congress in their attempt to conduct oversight. Do The Right Thing to protect America and all those who reside within our borders. Let trump know–again–SCOTUS you are not his judges any more than our military is his military. Help Congress put a stop to the insanity, NOW!

What A Mess!

Lies, government shutdowns, lies, indictments, lies, fake news (WHlies), tax cut scam exposed, lies, border crisis that doesn’t exist, national emergency lie, obese–medical liars, tantrum-throwing toddlers, lies, and still Republicans won’t do their Constitutional duty. Why? They’re bought and paid for with Russian rubles.

As big a mess as this is–the biggest mess that will need to be cleaned up, hasn’t been exposed yet–but it’s coming. We’re getting closer and closer to having the truth exposed about the trump crime family and that could be one of the reasons why trump sounds even more incoherent than he normally does.

I could reiterate all the dumb, anti-American crap he’s pulled, but that would be a waste of time to write and yours to read it. So, I’ll just stick to a few points that warrant attention.

• Stacking the judicial benches is going to prove a problem for America’s democracy being sustained since trumplican appointees are more interested in appeasing him than in adjudicating the rule of law. We see it on a daily basis with decisions by district court judges, federal court judges and with Supreme Court justices who are not on the list of institutions that no longer have integrity and certainly warrant no respect–from the rest of us. We have sexual predators on the bench, drunkards, liars, and those who think their religious beliefs outrank the Constitution. And we know they are serving at trump’s behest because he’s even trying to convince some to “retire” so he can appoint news who do his bidding. Without a fair, unbiased, rule of law judicial bench in the Supreme Court, we move from a democracy to a dictatorship with the ease of the rigged election that installed trump in the White House.
• The idiot in the WH disrupted stability and security for over 800K government workers for a wall that’s not needed. Totally anti-American act in an attempt to get his way with no regard to those affected and he has no remorse. In fact, while the government was shut down, he spent $50K on a simulated golf program installed in the White House. And now–the claim there is a “national emergency” is as big a lie as he is a president. There is no national emergency and he has admitted. He said, “I didn’t need to do this,” right after he declared the emergency–an attempt to circumvent Congress to build a wall, not needed or wanted by many of those who live in the border states. But then again, he pays more attention to Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and the idiot panel on Fox News than those advisors who are supposed to be experts.
• The only person thrilled by all the chaos in America right now is Vladimir Putin. He’s preparing to attack and knows with all the chaos, America won’t be in position to respond, effectively. Our allies can’t trust us because of the menace in the White House, but our adversaries are tickled pink that he is so easily manipulated. And the idiot actually thinks other world dictators respect him because he refuses to see the truth–they know he’s an incompetent fool and they’re going to take advantage of him, but that leaves America at risk–to the shenanigans of Kim Jong Un and Putin and others.

The most disconcerting thing about this “mess” is the fact that some people who claim to be Republicans still don’t see what’s happening in front of them. Yeah, they’re not happy with their tax returns, they no longer have adequate healthcare and many are dying, and they’re not happy with the wall or how tax dollars are spent, but they’re still supporting the idiot. Go figure!

I don’t have any answers for the questions that I’m sure are raised in the minds of people who actually think. I do know this to be true–elections have consequences–and one of the worst consequences for America could very well be–the loss of democracy in this country. The dismantling began with the rigged 2016 election and continues and will throughout the 2020 election–unless voters shake off the orange stupid-dust, and wake up and vote for the country, not their party.

There’s a slew of candidates preparing a presidential run for 2020 and no matter who the Democratic nominee–that’s who I’m voting for to save America from the treasonous traitor in the WH. I hope everyone reading this, will do their own research to determine what’s fact from fiction and will vote for all the Democrats on a ballot in every state. Now, is not the time for tribalism with a whim to destroy (trumplican party). Americans–True Patriots of the country–It is time to rise up and defend our democracy!

Vote Blue No Matter Who!

What In The World?

I’ve been pretty vocal about all the nonsense Americans have had to endure for the past two years, but it’s getting crazier and crazier with no end in sight (except 11/6/18). I mean really, we are facing the most autocratic Oval Office resident this country has ever seen. And it’s all part of a grander plan. When our democracy falls apart (if people don’t vote Blue in November), all those who fell for the okey doke of trump’s campaign can blame the Republicans in Congress who would not exercise their constitutional right of oversight of the executive office. But here’s why they didn’t do their job. They wanted tax cuts for the rich, and conservative judges who will rule against individual rights of people regarding: women’s reproductive rights, who people can love, access to affordable healthcare, and of course we cannot forget–the corporate promises fulfilled with the roll back of consumer protections that will lead to the deaths of many people. Now, don’t forget–trump also wants the Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, to prosecute people for disagreeing with him, for criticizing him, and for daring to exercise their 1st Amendment rights in expressing their criticism.

This is the gist of what they wanted and have succeeded in obtaining:

What the world has had an opportunity to observe with the “confirmation hearings” of Brett Kavanaugh, we are assured that he will cave to “party preference” and not care about what’s best for the country if given an opportunity to overturn, Roe v Wade, the Marriage Equality Act, and the Affordable Care Act leaving millions without healthcare. Additionally, the conflated views of “religious freedom” will be tested when corporations and insurance companies can use “their faith” to reject the rights of others.

The most interesting thing about this hearing is the fact that the nominee, avoids answering any questions and it won’t matter to the Republican majority because they have already determined they are going to confirm him. So what is the point of these hearings in which no answers are expected? This had been such a farce and waste of time, but his non-responsive answers–tell the average American a great deal about the character of the person.

And now we have the rantings of the moron-in-chief upset about an anonymous OpEd, all because someone in the White House dared to tell the truth about his behavior and lack of knowledge. Personally, I’m glad the person wrote it–whoever it was, since it confirms what has already been said–trump is a psychotic narcissistic moron who knows nothing and is consistently endangering our national security. Michael Wolff said it in his book, Omarosa said it in her book, and now it would appear that Bob Woodward has unveiled the same sentiments–with receipts!

What is it going to take for the those who blindly support the “enemy of the people” to wake up and smell the stench of treason emanating from the White House? Did they really drink a mind-numbing shake or other drink at his hate rallies that makes them incapable of rational, logical thought?

I don’t know what’s going to happen to America if people don’t get out and vote in November, but I know it won’t be pretty since we already know Russia has a tight, vise-like grip on trump’s balls and he’s afraid of him. What does Putin have on trump and the rest of the GOP? It’s got to be really bad for them to cave to foolishness and risk alienating our allies!

Here’s the thing. What in the world are you going to do about it? Yes, you–whoever is reading this. Are you going to make it your business to encourage the vote in November and for people to vote Blue or are you going to sit back on the sidelines and just shake your head? We, the people, have the power to change the course of events and save Americans and our democracy. Are you going to be part of the solution or part of the problem? I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to help get people registered to vote, encourage them to Vote Blue and take them to the polls with me–if I have to–to make sure they vote. I am going to use all of my social media platforms to make sure everyone knows this is not a drill! Our rights to vote are on the line if we don’t get this right in November!

So, again, I ask you–what in the world are you going to do?

Why? Because Democrats care about the people and they will work #ForThePeople!

If you care at all about our environment, how veterans are treated, how our senior citizens are treated, education, a living wage, and access to affordable healthcare–now is the time to act–get it in gear and move mountains to get out the Blue Vote on November 6, 2018 so we can all breathe a little easier, knowing there will be checks and balances as the Democrats do the job, Republicans won’t do.

Don’t forget–if we have a democracy surviving the resident idiot, I’m running for president in 2020 and I guarantee you, I won’t forget who it is I’m supposed to represent and serve. I will always work #ForThePeople–the Everyday Americans!
