Deliverance!

Deliverance!

The LORD detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires. Proverbs 11:1-6 NIV

At this moment–in the United States of America–we need deliverance–from the schemes of a unstable individual in the White House–whose greed for power and wealth may be the destruction of all mankind.

Though the Evangelical leaders in the church-world, proclaimed that he was God’s choice for president, most–who are capable of critical thinking–can see (we’re not wearing rose-colored glasses) this was not true. How do we know? We know by the Word!

  • God detests liars
  • God hates those who cheat others
  • God desires peace among nations
  • God desires the righteous to defend the rights of the poor and needy
  • God is not enamored by those who boast falsely about anything
  • God wants us to be faithful to Him and others in all we do
  • God honors integrity
  • God honors humility
  • God honors the upright (those who walk in His righteousness)
  • God honors those who seek His wisdom
  • God honors those who are quick to listen, but slow to speak
  • God honors those who are compassionate
  • God honors those who are “living epistles” of the love of Christ

This list could go on and on, but I think I’ve made the point–that nothing the #WHidiot has done would be honored by God. He’s in the White House because Republicans have a need to control others–and what they do in their personal lives–and because they think they are superior to any other group of people and they misuse–or rather misstate–their relationship with God in order to justify what they do.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–and again, and again, and again, until they realize their so-called christianity–is rooted in man’s desire to control others. They are the 21st Century Pharisees who think if “religion” is observed in any way other than the way they observe it–it’s wrong. And that’s the problem with religion–a situation in which mere mortals concoct ideologies and rules for others to obey.

Relationship with God through Jesus Christ is all about a desire to please Him, not men. Within the relationship–we are free to communicate with God through Holy Spirit and the Written Word and seek wisdom and direction without condemnation. Within the relationship–we allow Holy Spirit to control us–not the dictates of men. Within the relationship–we know that God is pro-choice because He has given mankind choice from the garden and will to the end.

Deliverance–comes in being free to worship the God of creation and knowing that all things created were created by Him and without Him, nothing was created. It is through our relationship with God that we know true deliverance and once we understand that deliverance–nothing mere man does can ever hold us in bondage again.

The Deliverer–Jesus Christ–has delivered us from the bondage of sin and everything that God hates and despises–once we accept Him into our lives and willingly give Him control over all we think, say, or do. That’s deliverance! And it’s why I’ll continue to proclaim that the Evangelical leaders lied to people when they said, God chose a president who does not honor Him in any way.

Now, perhaps–just maybe–some will be delivered from the bondage in which they’re held in their faith in man over God by reading my blog posts–angrily or not–and will seek understanding of how God functions in the earth today, through His Word and right relationship with Him.

Free From Bondage

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

Part 1

Repent, be baptized, and “we shall receive”.

Action in motion moves us to another level. The action verbs in this passage of scripture require active participation, not speculation or observation on our parts “if” we are receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We must “turn away” from lifestyles that keep from us receiving God’s best for us–everything that God says is sin–stop, drop, and roll away from it.

Be baptized–immersed in the water as a symbolic gesture that you are buried with Christ, and rise up again (resurrected) with a changed heart, a changed mind, and a determination to change what you do. You are a new creation in Him, so act like it.

We shall receive–notice that in this part of the scripture, it does not say, you have to do anything further to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost other than repent and being baptized. There is no need to sputter, cough, sneeze, throw up, redundantly say any certain words, stay on your knees for 40 days, lay on the floor for hours, go in the “upper room” of any building, or any other thing that people say do and God did not. We simply receive and we are in a better position to receive when we are open to hearing God’s voice and doing what He says. For some people the infilling of the Holy Ghost is immediate and for some there is a delay. I do not know why things happen differently for different people, but I’m sure God knows what He’s doing.

Read The Word for yourself, know what God has said, and don’t let anyone keep you in bondage to legalism when The Son has set us free!
