Serving A Socialistic God !

This list of scriptures regarding the poor could go on for a long time. It is significant to note, that God has always been concerned about the poor–those who for whatever reason are not able to take care of themselves as well as those who have riches. He has given us instructions as to how we are to treat the poor and yet–because of the Republican party–who claims to be Christian, does not understand socialism the way God demonstrated it. Notice, I did not say how God defined it, but how He demonstrated it. If they understood socialism as God demonstrates it in His Word with all of His instructions to all who believe in Him, they would not do everything they can to destroy the lives of the poor and the needy.

Republicans have plotted to destroy every program instituted to help the poor–with no remorse and in fact–some have been, “gleeful.”

Destruction by slashing funding for the Affordable Care Act–hurts the poor more than it helps the rich.

Destruction by slashing funding for food assistance hurts the poor.

Destruction by slashing funding for education hurts the the poor.

Destruction by dismantling all the safeguards regarding our environment hurts the poor (those in coal-mining communities will soon see this as well as those who will be harmed by the pollutants in the air.)

Destruction by slashing funding for any government program serves only one purpose–to hurt the poor.

Republicans often criticize Democrats for their socialism–because Democrats increase spending to help the poor–but then the Republicans claim to be the party of family values and morality. Everything they do to destroy the poor, proves they lie and if they read their bibles with understanding–they would know how God feels about liars. But they won’t–because they think they know everything and the rest of us know nothing. And it is because of their blindness they think we don’t see the corruption and the blatant raping of America’s Treasury–enacted by all the corrupt cabinet members installed by Putin’s directions. We see and we know–the evil that flows from the White House that the Evangelicals have tried to sugarcoat as all being part of God’s plan. They lie!

The bottom line for me is this–God is not really interested in my political party affiliation–He’s more interested in what I do that honors Him–in all things and that includes providing for the poor and the needy. So, my goal as the next president will be to make sure the needs of the poor are addressed and that funding is available to stabilize America’s future endeavors for all (healthcare, education, food, job training, care for senior citizens and veterans).

It’s not that I think we should “give anyone all they want” and that includes the politicians who are running rampant through tax dollars to appease their egos, but we should be a support for those trying to climb out of poverty and help to make our country productive and economically sound. I’m a registered Democrat and will probably remain one as long as I live since my values align with God’s instructions.

For Just A Minute!

Though many in the world celebrate “Easter,” those of us who have a relationship with Christ (not a church organization) understand the real meaning of the celebration–The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. They (the haters who don’t understand) are alive and well today, as well and we must remember–so we don’t become like them.

He Loved!

They lied on Him.

They beat Him.

They spit on Him.

They crowned Him with thorns.

They nailed Him to a cross.

They mocked Him.

They crucified Him.

They pierced His side with a sword.

He died.

They buried Him.

He Rose.

He Loves!

He Lives!

He is alive and well in the hearts of all who have accepted the sacrifice of His love, all who choose to live the way He wants us to live, and all who know how to love–all others–unconditionally and who defend the rights of the poor and the needy!

He Has Risen!

Can We See It Now?

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. 1 John 4:16-21 NIV

To clarify, the question–can we see it now–we must be able to understand that if we do not see how love motivates our behavior, we cannot see Christ in those who claim to be Christian, yet have not love for all, unconditionally. Do we see the love of Christ in those who consistently support and applaud a person who ignites hatred in people just because they are not male and white? Do we see the love of Christ operating in those who assault others because of their religious beliefs? Do we see the love of Christ in those who deliberately lie to others? Do we see the love of Christ in those who mock the disabled and do all within their power to not care for the poor and needy? Do we see the love of Christ in the policies established by those in government that burden the poor and enrich the wealthy?

Can we see–how the promotion of false propaganda, Russian meddling, and a pathological liar conned their way into the White House? Can we see–how Evangelicals misled people simply because they want to control what others do? Can we see it now? If we cannot see how misinformation and disinformation led people hate Hillary and Obama just because, it is due to the scales over our eyes that blind us, and the molten wax in our ears that keep us from hearing truth.

If we refuse to see–how our democracy is being demolished at the hands of a few–compromised by their connection and involvement with Russia, we are doomed to deal with the consequences–already formulated and playing out in America. The House and Senate are compromised and are complicit in all that’s unfolding in DC because they refuse to uphold the oaths of their office. They have allowed countless violations of the Constitution to go unchecked because of their fear of being exposed in the duplicitous efforts to rig an election.

And these are the men and women (primarily men) who claim to be Christians and adhere to Christian values, yet we have not seen those values illuminated in any of their actions. They lie. Anyone supporting them lies and the truth is not in them. I can only imagine how distraught and disappointed our God is watching those misuse and misrepresent who He is–making a mockery of all He has done in coming down to earth to save us from ourselves and now–this! We are in the midst of a Constitutional Crisis and our elected leaders have abrogated their responsibilities in not checking evil coming from the White House. They have a constitutional duty to oversee what happens in this country and they have not once–attempted to keep this country from being derailed by Vladimir Putin.

America Has No President. Congress Has No Balls Or Integrity! The American People Have No Hope Unless they change the dynamics of who is governing our country. It is imperative, for the sake of sustaining our democracy and sovereignty that we elect people who are true Patriots–those who love the country more than a person in office, and those who do what is right for all!

We can no longer afford to listen to those standing behind podiums in a church–leading us in the wrong direction–those pretending to be followers of Christ–all the while making a mockery of who He is, when they preach hatred and dissension, instead of love and unity. Perhaps it is because they have forgotten (if they ever learned), that where there is love–there is no room for hatred. They tout forgiveness of the adulterer, the pathological liar, the misogynist, and con man, yet they want to demonize everyone else who won’t go along with their agenda. They promote fear of anyone who doesn’t look like them or worship like them or lives their lives according to how they think a person who lives. If they operate from a position of fear–they demonstrate no love resides within them. If no love resides within them, they are not Christians, they are “label-wearers, not label doers–for all who belong to Christ, dwell in His love and His love dwells in them.

Love does not seek to destroy, but build and embrace all. For where there is love, peace and hope abide and thrive–taking care of the needs of all it encounters.

There is yet time to hope for change–not only in the November election of 2018, but in every election from this point forward. We need to elect those who care more about people than status or position or the opportunity to control what others do. God is pro-choice. He gives us the right to choose–what we do and the consequences of our choices. Mere man should never attempt to usurp the position of God in our lives. For God never forces us to do anything and we should never allow mere mortals to force upon us anything that is not like God.

I’m ready to serve as the next President of the United States and I can assure all–America will have a president that honors the position and the standing we have in the world.

I’m ready for the change I know will come with Democrats–the ones who care about all–are leading this country into the next era of greatness.

Can We Know Peace Again?

Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith. You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal. He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; he levels it to the ground and casts it down to the dust. False alarms about in-coming nuclear missiles, unfiltered race-baiting comments from the person in the Oval Office, silence from the Congressional leadership, and uproar from the majority of people-loving Americans–all of this–disrupts hopes of peace residing in the land. But all is not lost as long as we, who have a right relationship with Jesus, hold onto our faith in Him, instead of another human being.

Don’t get me wrong–I’m not saying we should do nothing while we earnestly wait to live at peace within our borders and outside of them. We must change the individual in the Oval Office–not attempting to change him or racist attitudes, but with another person who is far more compassionate, insightful, and intellectually capable of thinking before speaking. This is what we must work to do–knowing that this is right in the sight of God who above all things–wants us to live in peace, loving one another, defending the rights of the poor and needy.

When people take their eyes off God and have more faith in riches and celebrity and in a person’s ability to manipulate the masses with lies and gaslighting techniques that lead to the overwhelming spread of false propaganda–we lose. Many blinked–taking their eyes off God–and looked upon the person who was the most vile creature we’ve ever seen mislead millions. Some blinked because of their hatred of Hillary and didn’t bother to vote at all. Some blinked because they were misled by all the false propaganda. Others proved they have never known God because they promoted the blatant, hateful bigotry spewed by drumpf to the point they wore very telling political gear, proving their hatred of women and other ethnicities. Anyone who has ever had a right relationship with Jesus could never wear a T-shirt calling a woman a dog, or using racial slurs as it relates to other people.

I am convinced–the same people who were shouting, “Lock her up” without cause, will be the same people will be groaning and complaining, claiming, “fake news” when and if it is proven that their “savior” is a traitor to America. It is the poor and educated masses in Red States who are going to suffer financially as we have already seen with the advent of the “criteria-based” ability to receive Medicaid. Now, anyone receiving Medicaid, must pass a literacy test and pay higher premiums for healthcare insurance. The same people will see no benefit from the TaxCutScam that benefited only the wealthy–those who make millions, own private aircraft and golf courses.  In fact, it has just been revealed that drumpf had no idea that Black people were not the ones who were who received the most welfare (White-40%, Black-27.7%). But then again, he has no interest in facts about much of anything and has admitted his own net worth is contingent upon his “feelings” at the moment.

For people who are capable of critical thinking and understanding the value of research from credible sources, they understand our current dilemma. If the person in the Oval Office is not interested in facts about reality–how can he make good decisions about the welfare of the country? Short answer–he can’t and unfortunately we have an impotent Republican Congress who won’t exercise their authority in keeping him in check or removing him completely.

But this is what happens when we take our eyes off God–we believe the lies propagated by those in authority in a vast number of places–particularly the church–or rather the rich, White Evangelicals who convinced a few Black church leaders to believe their lies on one specific issue–abortion. Those in positions of leadership–primarily White men, have convinced people that God is not Pro-Choice and wants to control what women decide. That’s the biggest lie ever promoted by those in the church. God wants us all to live a life that is honoring to Him and obeys His commandment of love. What we have to remember is God is Pro-Choice in that He gives us the right to choose the paths we take and the consequences we face. He does not control what we do and we should not allow others–mere human beings–to take that choice from us. Those who profess to be Pro-life really indicate they are merely “fetus-lovers” because they care nothing about the life outside the womb and we know because of the policies they support–in their support of the malignant narcissist they elected (with the help of the Russians). If these same people were actually “pro-life” they would fight tooth and nail to protect the poor and vulnerable and be more willing to see tax dollars spent on helping the poor and vulnerable than in supporting tax dollars spent on golf outings (over $90M spent so far in less than a year).

When people do not have a right relationship with Jesus on their own and count on those in leadership in churches, they can be misled–we know because of the number of cults that have caused people to lose their lives. And with this administration–it has become a cult. The supporters of this administration see no wrong in anything he does–whether it’s perpetually lying about the obvious, maligning women or other groups of people or spending tax dollars needlessly and only considering the rich with his policies. Their blind loyalty to a bigot also keeps them from seeing they have forsaken the premises on which Christianity is built–loving one another unconditionally.

I have not lost my faith in God, my relationship with Jesus has never wavered and I know, like most true Believers, when we pray–expecting Him to respond–we must also do–giving our prayers–feet. I have faith that we–the true Patriots in America, those capable of loving others regardless of what they look like–will change the landscape in Washington and provide an atmosphere of peace again in the nation.

No matter who wins the next presidential election–I am confident it will be a person–man or woman–who understands the tenets of humanity and civility and they will protect protect the rights of the poor and vulnerable, reestablish our position on the global stage and work to maintain and preserve peace–globally.

Christianity and Political Parties

Since there are really no passages of scripture that deal directly with politics, I thought I’d share some of the comments that have made to me over the course of this year. Many, who claim to be Christians revealed their political party preference and concluded that I couldn’t be a Christian and be Democrat.

But I can and am! To be perfectly honest, I’d bet the farm that Jesus is more proud of me as a Democrat than He is of some the Republicans who only want to control others, not do the work as He commanded us to do.

They want to control what women do with their bodies; they want to legislate or rather re-legislate what the 2nd Amendment means and their purported interest in the “church having priority over government.” They have misunderstood and misrepresented the 1st Amendment and continue to lie to anyone who’s foolish enough to listen without doing some research of their own.

No long dissertation today, just a few words in pictorial formats to underscore my point!

Now–they say (that infamous “they”) that a picture is worth a thousand words. I rest my case.

The Reason For The Season!

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.  Luke 2:1-11 NIV

Those of us who understand that being a Christian means we follow Christ know why we celebrate this season. We are not concerned with saying, Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays (specifically for the secular segment of society) but in knowing that at some point in time, over 2000 years ago, we were given the greatest gift that could ever be given, and it couldn’t be purchased in a mall for any amount of money. The birth of a Savior, God coming in the likeness of sinful flesh, to save all who choose to believe in Him. Though He made the sacrifice–giving His life for ours almost 34 years later–we still celebrate His birth for without it–there would not have been a crucifixion or a Resurrection–paving the way for us to enter into Heaven.

Today, on the eve of the celebration for many of us–I just wanted to remind people that we do indeed have a reason to celebrate this season for it had not been for The Lord, where would we be?

Fortunately, for us–He loves us enough to respect our choices in doing whatever we do–whether He approves our choices or not–He respects our right to choose–both what we do and the consequences. I really wish–we who proclaim to be Christians–followers of Christ–not people–could get to that same place of understanding. We don’t have to agree or approve what others choose to do, but we should respect their right to choose–just as God does.

Personally, I’m thankful that God allowed me to choose some of the paths I’ve taken in life–though I know He didn’t approve–He allowed me to make the choices and deal with the consequences and in dealing with those consequences, I learned just how much He loves me. Who are we to get in the way of those who will learn from the consequences of their choices, no matter what they are?

I encourage all Christians (true Believers) to think about how we can best encourage (not command or make) others to believe in the Savior we know. The best sermon–as many have said before me–is the one we live, not the one we talk about. If I never utter another word about how good God is–I would hope that everything I do–says it much louder than I could ever hope to say and more people would turn to Him–not me, because of who He is!

This is the time of year we should think even more about the plight of others and make a commitment to help those who are simply not in a position to help themselves. Thoughtfulness, consideration of others–is one way we can live The Word, instead of just talking The Word.

For tomorrow–I’m spending time with family–as I prepare our dinner–doing things that families do. I’m praying for peace in the world and joy in the hearts in every person and for those who feel abandoned in shape or form, know that there is someone praying for you and if I knew who you were, I’d invite you to share our dinner because we always find room and food for more.

Enjoy this day doing your last minute shopping! Stay safe and alert for the enemy would love to steal your joy by destroying hope and faith in Jesus by influencing someone to do a dastardly act. And then spend tomorrow loving others and enjoying life while we live. Luv2LuvU!

 

 

As I Watch…

As I watch what is happening in this country, I am consistently amazed at how easy it is to dupe, non-thinking, bigoted people.

The gullible, and some who have to have superior intellect, believed the lies of the most odious person on the planet in America.

They believed he cared about people (specifically to working class)–he does–those who are “uneducated” and believe his lies. Those who are just as bigoted as he is and those who hate President Obama simply because of his skin color. Yeah, he cares about all those people–the 33% forgetting about the rest. The tax bill that he is so anxious to sign, does not benefit the middle-class as touted, but the rich–especially the rich donors who want to see a return on their investment by electing a traitor.

I’m watching Christianity spiral into the dung heap of pagan religions because of the “religious-right” who have no relationship with Christ and are disgusting those who do as well as those who don’t believe. They would rather vilify those who disagree with them, rather than come to a place of understanding by talking and listening to one another. They tout they are “pro-life” when in actuality, they are simply “fetus lovers” since they do not respect or care for life outside the womb. We know this is true based upon the policies they support that take from the poor to give to the rich. They claim to be Christians–wearing the label only–but never doing the work. They quote scripture on social media outlets–proclaiming their love of God when they have forgotten that it is difficult to see how anyone could love someone they cannot see when they don’t love those they see (1 John 4:20). They have also forgotten that the Word says, “to whom much is given, much is required.”

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48 NIV

As I watch–complicit Republicans plot to fire Robert Mueller, creating “facts” without evidence and igniting anarchy against the FBI, I’m appalled that in a country founded upon the principle that everyone is entitled to freedom of speech and opinion. And just because FBI agents shared opinions with others–does not make them unable to do their jobs. I’m flabbergasted at how elected officials are such whiners simply because people don’t agree with TraitorDon. I mean really–using who contributed to whom as a basis to determine culpability or inability to do one’s job! Only a desperate person would even attempt to rationalize that strategy. In particular, I’ve referring to Jim Jordan–Ohio Republican and Matt Gaetz–Florida Republican–the noise makers who talk so fast, they trip over their words and most psychologists would recognize the desperation in their frenetic discourse. They’re afraid. Truth will prevail–no matter how much they whine and to suggest–appointing a second special counsel to investigate the first special counsel is not only ludicrous, but negligent because of the cost involved.

As I watch unfolding events on a daily basis, I am not deterred at the foolish and the mockery of Patriotism; I’m empowered–more determined that ever to get into position to make a real change in America where all Americans are valued and respected–where we put Patriotism over tribalism and all benefit from the process.

As I watch interactions on social media, I’m counting on all those who post their disdain of the current political climate to act and support all (not just me) who want to make things better for all.

As I watch the situation, God is also watching. He knows who really belongs to Him and it’s not just those who “quote His Word” but cannot live the life of a True Believer.

Though I am not perfect, I serve a perfect God who will guide me into all truth and pour wisdom into my heart that I may know how to serve all by serving Him.

We Must Intercede!

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. 1 Timothy 2:1-8 NIV

What does it mean to intercede on behalf of others? We seek God  or act on their behalf when it appears they are incapable of doing the right thing on their own.

Interventions are an act of love and concern for an individual or people who are headed in the wrong direction. Family interventions are needed with loved ones who succumb to addiction or other negative behaviors and in some cases, interventions are needed in workplaces where those in authority fail to see how their actions affect the whole in a negative way.

Since we have an idiot in the White House–who is incapable of rational, logical thinking–we must intercede–praying for him, his family and the entire administration who has succumbed to cult mentality and will not rein him in.

We pray against the lying that is so pervasive from those in the White House, they won’t even admit when they’re lying. They have succumbed to the thought that “alternative facts” are actual facts and not another label for “lies.”

We pray against their plots to conspire against America and all Americans with their blatantly obvious rhetoric and behavior that leads to the erosion of our Constitution and eventual destruction of our democracy.

We pray against all those white nationalists who seek to divide and further destroy humanity with their hatred and bigotry.

We pray against all the dictators and authoritarians and their hold on any US citizen.

We pray against all liars who deliberately attempt to deceive the nations and any group of people by use of false propaganda in whatever form it takes.

We pray that all people everywhere, will open their eyes and see truth, empty their hearts of hatred and allow love to fill the void, and close their ears to lies perpetuated by those who have decided to join the devil’s army and hear only truth from the Spirit of God, residing within.

It is time to stop complaining about all the stuff occurring in our politics, cities, capitol and all over the world and do something. The one thing we can do stop all the stupidity is to recognize and receive truth when we hear and to encourage all to get out and vote–vote for those who have demonstrated by their actions that they are humanitarians, capable of loving and concern for others and not just the folks who “claim to be Christians, but we see no Christ in them.”

It is up to us who know how Christ lived as an example to us to do what He would do. It is up to us to care for the poor, needy, and vulnerable and to fight for their rights. It is up to us to call out lies whenever and wherever we hear or see them. Those of us who know truth, should never be afraid to speak truth and expose the lies and the liars.

Therefore, by now all with a functioning brain should understand that we have a liar-in-chief in the White House and all of his spokespersons lie when they regurgitate his lies. There are no alternative facts to spin the lies–they lie–pure and simple and every time they lie or promote false propaganda, truth is easily and quickly revealed.

Mainstream Media–CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WAPO, ABC, NBC are not fake news. Fox News–is not a news network, but a licensed entertainment network that posits opinions and biased opinions that promote hatred and bigotry. Hillary Clinton is not a pedophile or trafficking in child sex rings–no matter how many times someone says it. Nor is she or Bob Mueller in the least responsible or culpable for the Uranium One situation. That has been debunked over and over again and only the foolish and gullible still believe and promote it.

Time magazine did not call trump to say anything to him about being the Person of the Year, trump was not responsible for the release of the basketball players in China, and he is under investigation–no matter how they try to spin it. More importantly, trump doesn’t have a clue as to what he’s supposed to be doing and those who believe he does–need much prayer and revelations of truth. He is not a savior of the world, nor is he a great negotiator. He is a greedy, self-involved corrupt person (not a real man) who is only interested in making himself richer by violating the Constitution. His rhetoric with North Korea is a distraction to keep his base from paying attention the Mueller investigation which is closing in on all those involved in the 2016 election rigging. Of course those who believe, “God chose trump to be president,” will never believe the truth because if they did, they’d have to admit–they were wrong and actually lied.

Republicans in the House clamoring for an investigation are merely providing a distraction to the gullible in hopes they will not pay attention to the unfolding and revealing revelations about their “savior and his minions.”

It is time–no past time–that we who know Christ–have a relationship with Him and desire to only please Him and not people to act like we know Him and stop spreading the lies and convoluted propaganda that will eventually lead to greater loss of lives than we have recently seen. Hate destroys–love builds. When hatred is the driving force for policy decisions that affect all people, we must root out the hatred and plant love so we will not allow the decimation of millions of people.

In the coming elections–we must not allow predatory, hateful people to sit in positions of authority, making decisions for those they have violated in one way or another. We must vote for those who want to help others. Republicans–at this point–have only shown their love of a fetus–not a life after it gets here with their support of sexual predators, loss of access to healthcare and the very basics of humanitarian need. They should called themselves–“fetus-lovers” since they have no plans to assist lives once they are born. They are not the true representatives of Christ and though they loathe Democrats–Democrats have proven they have more love in their hearts for others than the “fetus-lovers.”

I stand in the gap–interceding for all–for those who hearts need comforting from the loss of loved ones through military actions or madmen assaults because our law-makers care more about the NRA’s donations than they do people; I’m interceding on behalf of all those whose income is less than $75K a year–that they’ll get involved and called their representatives in Congress and tell them, “Not one penny for the rich if the poor don’t get more.” I’m interceding on behalf of all who love truth and will not perpetuate a lie that they’ll find the courage and boldness to call out all who blatantly lie to make themselves something they are not.

Go vote and elect those who care about all people–not just the white people or the straight people or the “fetus-lovers” but ALL people.  This is why we must intercede with prayers and our votes!

 

How We Treat Others Matters!

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. Romans 13:8-14 NIV

What are those desires of the flesh that keep us from loving? Jealousy and hatred–once the seed is planted and nurtured by failure to accept responsibility for self–leads to actions ignited by our fleshly desires to avenge perceived (even if the perception is wrong) injustices.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is–there is liberty and love. Where there is no love, there is no perceptible presence of Christ. For when the heart of a person is filled with love, there is no room for hatred and bigotry and racism doesn’t stand a chance. When we acknowledge that none of us are perfect and are all in need of a perfect Savior, we open the door and prepare the soil of our hearts to receive His love and allow it to be nurtured by continuing our lives, loving others. This is how we ought to treat one another. For if we know we love one another, we will not plot to do harm to one another. We will not set traps in hopes that others will fall into them for we realize the traps we set–we’re liable to fall into ourselves–realizing the Hamanesque effect.

How can we claim to be Christians–followers of Christ–if we don’t know Him for ourselves? To know Christ is to know His Word and to know how He lived among men and to do likewise. Jesus was not silent when He saw injustice, but rose up mightily to condemn it and so should we. He was the ultimate rebel in tearing down religion and religious leaders who only wanted to control others, not live for God. All that He did, He did with love at the forefront of His life so we might understand that we can do all things and should do all things in love for Love–for He is Love.

Again, I say, where there is love, there is no room for hate and where we find hate, we must drive it out with love, not more hatred. Those who think they are superior to others do not know Christ for we are told in His Word that we ought not to think more highly of ourselves than warranted. God is not mocked nor fooled by superficial acknowledgment of who He is. He looks upon the hearts of all and sees the discernible difference between the light of love and the darkness of hate. He knows! We cannot fool Him with mocking rhetoric that sounds like being a Christian.

Unfortunately, for those who think they are mocking God, He will have the last word when we stand before Him and He tells some, “Depart from me, I never knew you.” Those are not the words I want to hear from God when I stand before Him, so I’ll keep promoting truth, integrity, honor and love and where there is opportunity to rise up against hate and bigotry, I will rise to the occasion and never back down.

An Open Letter To American Congress

The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time? Open Letter To American Congress

Dear Congressional Members:

About the proposed tax cut that Republicans are so excited about — at least the ones who hate the poor — it is absolutely bull crap, designed to benefit the rich and corporations who are big donors to political parties — notice I said — parties — plural!

Let’s face it — the only people who are in position to cover government expenses through tax dollars are those who make the most money. It’s simple math — something anyone should be able to calculate. But since we apparently have some in Congress and the White House who aren’t that good at math (and I’m no expert), let me approach this from another direction.

The United States is already in debt to the tune of trillions of dollars — the result of negligence from the Bush redistribution of Social Security surplus and then starting a war in Iraq. But let’s not quibble over that point — if we start in the red — and keep spending tax dollars on unnecessary expenditures ( i.e., secret service detail for a family of infinite numbers including staffers and golf carts and housing in trump properties, plus the private jets used by cabinet members) all we’re doing is digging a deeper hole. On top of that, we now “reduce” the amount of tax dollars needed to pay “necessary expenditures” (military, federal government operation, etc.) and we expect what to happen — economic growth and a reduction in the deficit? I think not.

It has become obvious to me, and I’m certain millions of others, that those who claim to be Christians have either not read or understood the bible they supposedly know. “For to whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48). Those who have the most consumable income should pay the larger share of the tax revenue for more than one reason, but here’s mine. It is the very wealthy who use their dollars to influence government — through lobbyists and party donations. The poor and middle class, do not have the opportunity to influence election outcomes other than through their vote.

Since the deck is stacked against us economically — those who have the advantage should pay the most. With the current proposal, the tax cuts for the rich will only give them more to use to influence elections and the poor and middle class lose ground since only those in political positions will determine whether we even get to vote (as evidenced with current attempts to suppress the vote through “unnecessary requirements” and gerrymandering). The alleged “Voter Fraud Commission” is actually doing more to commit voter fraud that in finding evidence of fraud already committed.

I’m sure that all of you know this, but I felt the need to reiterate it since it doesn’t appear that in your elected positions, you are actually representing the people who elected you — us — the Americans.

So here’s a suggestion — start caring more about the people who put you in office — not the wealthy donors who obviously care nothing about anyone other than themselves, but the average, Everyday American — who expects you to do the right thing for everyone. How about that! Is it possible that you can do the right thing for all Americans and not just the wealthy donors?

I can imagine if there are people who feel the same way I do, then many of you won’t have a chance to be elected again. We’re real people with real needs and getting an additional $98.00 a month — won’t make much of a difference to enhance our standard of living. You know why? Those big corporations that get the breaks will increase cost of all they produce and the cost of services which will suck the life out of the $98.00 and may cost us more.

I wish for a month, those who think this tax cut will benefit the poor and help the middle class, would try to live off the income they think others can do with ease. And please, don’t try telling us without the corporations no one would benefit — there would be no corporations if the lowly didn’t work for the them — without getting equitable wages — leaving the corporations to profit and give big bonuses for those who do nothing but sit at desks and think about how they can make their employees more miserable, while lining their own bank accounts. I know, I know — too simplistic for those who think they have “great brains,” but true.

Try this on for size and see if it won’t work for the benefit of everyone:

With this plan those at the lowest end of the income scale will have money to consume the products and services available without being burdened with unfair tax liability. After all, if corporations are producing goods and services and no one can purchase them, how long before the corporations fold? This plan — considers all Americans and puts the burden where it needs to be. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than what we’re seeing with the GOP tax cuts which do nothing for the poor, elderly, and vulnerable. It’s worth consideration and I’m sure — the average Everyday American will see some merit in establishing.

Think about this proposal — where everyone benefits — and about the simplicity of its use. Then, think about this — anyone who manufactures products outside of the United States, hides money in off-shore accounts, or won’t produce their tax returns as an elected official — should not have any input into what others pay who are “loyal” to the American way of life. If you can’t see this — you’re guilty of taxing people without representation because the current plan — is not beneficial to those who elected you (excluding the Russians and other foreign operatives).
