The Courageous vs. The Cowardly

Historic Trump impeachment trial begins in US Senate

As much as many of us had hoped for an indictment of twiceimpeached, we didn’t see it happen because most of the Republican senators either had their balls in a vise or couldn’t find their spines. We knew that would happen. We’ve watched it for the last five years. Before I get too far gone into the cowardly acts, let’s focus on the those who rose to courageous status.

First of all, there were ten Republicans in the House who chose to impeach the person leaving the White House, who shall ever after be named (by me) twiceimpeached. They were the courageous in the House and they have also withstood the rancid behavior of those who disagreed with them, from within their party, the idiotic, upset over those who choose to operate with a sense of morality and patriotism (something others could have learned from). So we can applaud: Rep. Liz Cheney of WY, Rep. Anthony Gonzalez of OH, Rep. Jamie Herrera-Beutler of WA, Rep. John Katko of NY, Rep. Adam Kinzinger of IL, Rep. Peter Meijer of MI, Rep. Dan Newhouse of WA, Rep. Tom Rice of SC, Rep. Fred Upton of MI, and Rep. David Valadao of CA. These are the courageous in The House and we owe a debt of gratitude for their stance in upholding a standard of decency, justice and their oath of office.

From the Senate, these seven voted to convict twiceimpeached because it was the right thing to do under the circumstances: Senator Richard Burr from NC, Senator Bill Cassidy from LA, Senator Susan Collins from ME, Senator Lisa Murkowski from AK, Senator Mitt Romney from UT, Senator Ben Sasse from NE, and Senator Pat Toomey from PA. These are the Senators who deserve our thanks for standing up to a party that apparently condones insurrections and seditious traitors.

One would think, since all have taken an oath to “preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States,” that finding someone guilty of trying to overthrow the government wouldn’t have been that difficult. But apparently, for the 43 who voted to acquit twiceimpeached, their political futures were far more important than upholding their oath of office. As a result of their cowardice, they have not just condoned the seditious act of a government overthrow, but have left the path forward open to a more ardent and dangerous attempt again, not just on the Capitol, but all government institutions. Attacks by domestic terrorists on the physical buildings are one thing, when our democracy is attacked and is now on the stage of mockery and derision for the entire world to see, an attack by foreign terrorists is inevitable.

I have often encouraged others to only do the right thing and thereby avoiding doing the wrong thing. It would seem that someone should have reminded the cowards of such words. But then again, cowards are only capable of cowardly behavior. They have no spines or moral compasses by which to govern their lives. They are driven by a need to gain and retain power and individual wealth, forgetting they are elected by people who expected them to look out for their best interests. Condoning an insurrectionist and domestic terrorism puts the entire country at risk and when those from outside this country invade us, because we have shown them how, no one will be safe.

Though I am not a Republican and would under normal circumstances, stand fiercely opposed to most Republicans and their political posturing to ignore the needs of the poor and vulnerable, I choose to stand with these who have determined to stand up, for right, even with all the backlash thrown their way. Cowards are always prone to using bullying tactics and I see the bulk of the Republican party in leadership, both on state and national levels as nothing more than a bunch of bigoted cowards. History will not be kind to them or their descendants and I hope they live a long time to see what their actions produce in this country and the reluctance on the part of other world leaders to pay attention to America as a leading force.

Hopefully, we will all remember the courage of those who stood for America and our democracy in doing the right thing. Unfortunately, we cannot forget the cowards since we must do all we can to make sure they never succeed in the political arena. Every American must remember 1/6/21 as the most infamous day in the history of the 21st Century, when an American president incited an insurrection against elected leaders of the Executive Branch of government, placing the vice president and speaker of the house in imminent danger. One could assume from what has been revealed, the intent was to remove any possible means that would keep him from declaring martial law and retaining power for himself (and Putin). Call him, not by name, but twiceimpeached, so he will never forget his place in history.

If Not Now, When?

If Not Now, When?

Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the Lord. Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?” Let the light of your face shine on us. Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4 NIV

For those actively involved in The Resistance, we have won a small battle, but the war is not over. We must continue the fight against injustice and an unjust person in the WH.

For those who were not actively involved, what’s holding you back? Are you waiting for God to come down out of the clouds and speak to you personally about defending the rights of the poor and the needy? He has already said what we are to do in His Word.

For Christians to not know that it is our responsibility to defend the rights of the poor, needy and vulnerable, what is it going to take to get that through to hearts? How can anyone say they are a Christian and not do what Jesus did and told us to do–love?

If not now, when will it be a good time to demonstrate our love for God and in obeying His Word?

If not now, when will it be a good time to repudiate the notion that God chose trump to be the president of the United States when all he has done–indicates his love and fear of Putin is greater than his love for America?

If not now, when will Christians lift up the name of Jesus in their conduct and not just lip service by caring for all human beings and in protecting their rights?

If not now, when will Evangelical leaders remember they are supposed to follow after God and all He has put on their hearts to do–according to His Word–not their personal agendas.

If not now, when will those sitting in churches, listening to those promoting hatred and bigotry of others have the courage to get up and walk out–letting the leadership know, why they’re leaving?

If not now, when will people stand up and speak out against those who perpetuate hatred against other human beings?

God is not pleased with our lack of compassion for other human beings, our treatment of those who are not like us and certainly our lack of concern for the rights of the poor, needy, and vulnerable. If anyone thinks that God is going to bless them for promoting hatred and embracing the lies of a liar, think again. God hates liars and has prepared a place for them all in the lake of fire.

People have rejected the most qualified person on the planet to be in the Oval Office and elected a “Napoleon wannabe” as a leader of the free world. He has accused President Obama of not being a strong leader (like Putin) and yet he has failed to be an “effective leader” since he has no clue what it means to be a public servant. He wants to be a dictator–who abides by no rules or policy or protocol–and uses threats and attempts to intimidate others–being a cowardly bully instead of a leader. He has refused to accept the fact that he cannot govern a nation run like one of his failed businesses. The chaos in the White House will continue until the people–all the sane folks in America–wake up and see that it’s time for a real change–and if not now, when?

In 2018, the people must balance those in Congress so they’ll be forced to work for the people, not a party agenda. In 2020, we must elect a president who understands the struggles and challenges Everyday Americans face and who will represent Everyday Americans and not a personal agenda. I’m an Everyday American who has lived the challenges most of us face and I know, I can and will represent all Americans since I have no personal or political agenda to achieve–other than doing what is best for all Americans.  Your support in this endeavor is appreciated.

Silent!

Silent!

Let me not be put to shame, LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead. Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous. How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues. Praise be to the LORD, for he showed me the wonders of his love when I was in a city under siege. In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from your sight!” Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help. Love the LORD, all his faithful people! The LORD preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:17-24 NIV

There is a time to be silent so we can hear The Lord and then there are times when our silence becomes the death knoll for those who don’t have a platform or venue in which to speak. I choose to be silent long enough to hear what The Lord is speaking to my heart and then empowered by His love and wisdom, I boldly stand up and speak out against injustice and liars.

Now is not the time to be silent when our government is running amuck with plans being made to benefit only the rich 2% of the nation’s population. The other 98% deserve the same consideration of any and all policies and anything less–will not be tolerated.

Now is the time and America is the place for all who understand–JUSTICE FOR ALL–to resist the terrorist in the White House and stand up and speak out before all is lost for generations to come.

Silence in the midst of turmoil and chaos is consent to everything happening around us. Don’t be part of the problem–be a part of the solution that all may live in peace and prosper as our souls prosper–do the right thing at all times.

Many were silent when the Jews were being arrested and transported to camps were they were killed– when had they had the courage to stand up and speak out–those killed would still be here. We cannot allow history to repeat itself and encourage genocide of the poor and the elderly with the current health plan engineered to enrich insurance companies and all those republicans who are heavily invested in them.We cannot allow the round-up and deportation of immigrants to continue–separating families–of people who only wanted a better life–not a bitter one.

Stand up America! Now is not the time to be silent on issues that will impact the lives of all in a negative way.

Many are those who believed the lie the liar told and now that it’s time for action, they too can see how they were misled and deluded by the fanfare accompanying the entertainer who has proven he is not equipped to govern.

Stand up America! Now is not the time to be silent on issues that will impact the lives of all for generations to come!

The clown in the White House proceeded to the position of a leader of the free world with assistance by Russian hacks, collusion, and false propaganda, and lies upon lies about his opponent–Hillary, but now–all who have eyes to see and ears to hear–understand what she was trying to warn us about and many more–saw the light, but the corrupted ones, kept her from the Oval Office and now we have the Twisted Terrorist making policies that will lead to the deaths of many.

Stand up America! Now is not the time to be silent! Now is the time to actively resist and oppose the terrorist in the White House.

30 Days of Prayer and Praise–10!

30 Days of Prayer and Praise–10!

Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled. You who answer prayer, to you all people will come. When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions. Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing. Psalm 65 NIV

Day Ten

O Lord,

If the meadows and valleys can shout for joy and sing, surely Your children, those You have chosen as messengers and Watchmen can do no less.

You are the God of our salvation and we have no need to fear what the enemy might do, for You have prepared us in more ways than one to stand firm on Your Word and never waver, never doubt Your faithfulness towards us and to always walk embraced by love and mercy.

As the days unfold, one by one and we see the events revealed that demonstrate the lack of love for You and our brothers and sisters, we can still look to You–our hope and our help–for with You all things are possible and we will know victory in every area of our lives.

For those who are discouraged–encourage their hearts, Lord by speaking to them and reminding them how much loved they are. Give them a desire to keep going and to allow the love of Holy Spirit to flow through their bodies and into their minds, giving them courage and boldness to speak up and stand up for righteousness and to fight against the evil that attempts to overtake us.

Lord, remind those who think they are superior to other human beings that You created one man, one woman and commanded them to multiply and cover the face of the earth as one human race. Though our tongues speak many languages and our skin tones are many hues, we are yet one–one race, one blood, one of Your Children for whom You have prepared a place for us in heaven.

Lord, catheterize every heart and drain all hate from it replacing every void with love, peace, mercy and kindness, with joy overflowing into the lives of all who are around us.

Thank You for granting us an opportunity to spend time with You–allowing You to nurture our souls and replenish our hope and joy as events of the day attempt to drain us. Thank You for loving us enough to use us for good and not evil. Thank You for molding and shaping us to be more like You every morning we rise.

Because of You, O Lord, we can hold our heads high, knowing who we are and what we have in You. Because of You, we can sing out loud our praise for You and never fear what others may think or say. Because of You, we can move forward–desiring nothing more than to see peace and love overflow in the earth so all may come to know You and be glad about it.

Thank You, Lord for one more day to give You praise and to see the marvelous works we know will result in our obedience to You. In Jesus’ name we pray and thank You, Amen!

Three Days Later!

Three Days Later!

About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: “This is what the LORD says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.” When Hezekiah heard this, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, “Remember, O LORD, how I have always been faithful to you and have served you single-mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” Then he broke down and wept bitterly. But before Isaiah had left the middle courtyard,[fn] this message came to him from the LORD: “Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the LORD. I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own honor and for the sake of my servant David.’” 2 Kings 20:1-6 NLT

For those of us who know how The Lord does things, we know that nothing that ever happens is a surprise to Him and we also know, that if we seek Him, he will alert us to those things to come. That’s Holy Spirit’s job–to remind us of all we have been taught to show us things to come.

God has alerted all those who are truly watchmen–those who stand ready to sound the alarm for the benefit of the people and the alarm has been sounded, but not many are willing to hear and respond because–they’re not the ones sounding it.

Today, is a good day to meditate on God’s Word–seeking a better understanding of His character, and determining to make a change in our own. If we are willing to seek God and Him alone–not the news outlets or radio talk shows–God can and will reveal to us those things to come and how we should conduct ourselves–as ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

And in three days–God will do as He has done before–establish a sure path for us all to see His miracles–changed hearts, changed behaviors, and changed mindsets–determined to serve Him.

I’ll return to my regular blogging in three days and I pray, while I’m praying for a miracle, that whoever reads this, will also pray for me–to act upon the courage I know God will instill in me to do as He says to do.

His Faithfulness and Our Determination!

His Faithfulness and Our Determination!

Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:23 NKJV

Instead of being fearful, we need to be wise and courageous, knowing our God is faithful to all who love Him.

This applies to anything we do–whether in the church or anywhere else–we must know–not believe–we serve a faithful God. And when we know, we can proceed with courage to do all we need to do–knowing we will accomplish the goal.

Yesterday, as I was walking around our high school track, in the midst of a sprinkle, strong winds, and chilly temperatures, I thanked God for being faithful to us. Though the sprinkles continued, I said to Him, “Daddy, I know You love me and I thank You for moving the clouds and warming our bodies as we do this for the kids.

Within minutes, the sprinkles stopped and before long, the clouds moved and the sun shone brightly and more kids came out to participate. Although the temperature rose slightly, so did the wind, but through it all–we were determined and we stayed the course. My personal goal was to walk 20 laps (5 miles) and I walked 26 laps (6.5 miles), not because of who I am, but because of Whose I am. His faithfulness and my determination made it all possible.

God’s faithfulness to us–His children–is never-ending, but what makes the difference between our experiencing victory or defeat is a matter of our own determination. It is our determination that wavers–not God’s faithfulness. So if we want to see victory–in all areas of our lives–let’s work on our determination to endure until the end–because His faithfulness–never wavers.

Be courageous and brave and determined in all you do and His faithfulness will bring it to pass!

A Word of Encouragement!

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:6,8 NIV

We know why Moses had to encourage the children of Israel. They were afraid of change and Moses was no longer going to be with them. But he reminded them that The Lord would always be with them and they were not to be afraid.

Those words ring very true today. We need to be strong–strengthened daily by Holy Spirit, determined to move forward knowing that God is going before us and He will never leave us.

Whatever the challenge or obstacle that attempts to get in our way of obeying God and promoting the Gospel, confront it–head on–with love and know that whatever The Lord has put on our hearts to do, He is faithful to see it completed.

So move out–in faith–very courageous and determined–to get it done.

Praying Women Who Obey!

Now, you women, hear the word of the LORD; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament. Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has removed the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares. Say, “This is what the LORD declares: “ ‘Dead bodies will lie like dung on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.’ ” This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,”  declares The Lord! Jeremiah 9:20-24 NIV

In spite of what many may say about women in service to The Lord, God knows the heart of each of us and He knows who will hear and obey.

Who are some of the notable women mentioned in the Bible? There are far too many to include in this blog today, but I’ll mention a few. Deborah was the wise consultant that led armies to victory. Hannah prayed and changed the fate of Kings through Samuel. Esther stayed before Lord, fasting, waiting to hear and then saved her people from total destruction. And we cannot ignore Mary–no matter how hard some may try–the vessel by whom our Savior was born–pure, undefiled, blessed. Then Paul makes mention of women by name–acknowledging their role in ministry.

Let’s face it--when we go into almost any church across the land, we tend to see more women in the building than men. Grandmothers have prayed for grandchildren so they would stay out of harm’s way. Mothers have prayed for children to find success and happiness. Wives have prayed for husbands to hear what God says. Sisters (both biologically and spiritually) have prayed for nations and peace in the land. Praying women have always made a difference and we shall continue to pray and make a difference.

Wise women always turn to God and seek His direction. And when God speaks to them, they are usually quick to hear and obey. Even though men have for centuries dominated the land in positions of power, the real power lies in the heart of every woman praying for them.

Therefore, no man should ever belittle women and what they can and have accomplished. When men belittle women, they do so out of insecurities–fearful they may be outshone by a woman. Real men honor and respect all women–knowing they have strength and courage beyond anything they could ever imagine. After all, it was women who carried the men–before they were born–and many carry them long afterward in life–always praying for them. This is true for the Godly women–regardless of ethnicity or religious preference.

Today, I encourage all women to seek God and His wisdom, praying and fasting, until we can turn this nation around–seeing an end to violence and hatred.

The Time Has Come!

“In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” (2 Timothy 4:1-3 NIV)

Careful observation and introspection of current events and a society that willfully turns its back on God and His ways to accommodate sin, lets us know--the time has come–when people will not hear sound doctrine, but prefer to seek and support those who cosign perversion in our daily lives.

How do we know? We’ve given people carte blanche  to use illegal drugs (mind-altering drugs that inhibit rational thinking) under the guise of medical use. And in some places–the medical use facade is not even in question and a church in Illinois has been established where they worship–marijuana. Since that’s all they will be doing is getting high–I wonder what the consequences will be when they’re involved in situations where others are injured or killed.

Standing up for beliefs based upon the bible has become the foundation others use to ridicule and persecute–on all fronts. There are those who obviously do not understand history and the fact that this country was established on the foundation of civil disobedience against what they felt was the tyranny of England. Civil disobedience–a willingness to take a stand against injustice has always been a factor in how this country does business. However, when a county clerk in Kentucky stands firm in her beliefs–the venom spews like the winds blowing dust–covering everything in hatred of followers of Christ.

What continually amazes me is the lack of tolerance for Believers and what they believe by those who claim we are intolerant against their lifestyles that are in opposition to God’s Word. We don’t hate and spew obscenities at those who disagree with us. Most of us (Believers) understand that people may not agree with our view and accept it–without argument or denigration of a person’s stance. Personally, I’m not interested in debating anyone about God’s Word, but I do love a discussion in which all can be enlightened.

Yesterday, because I dared to comment on a news article (and trust me, I knew what would happen), haters came out of cyberspace almost before I finished typing. Now, remember–I commented on the article–not to a person who had already commented, but suddenly, I was the villain because I dared to commend Kim Davis on her stand. I had a number of people who tried to use the Bible to deflect from their hatred–from women speaking in a church being sin, to gay rights supporters using the race card (how dare I support Kim Davis since I had only been allowed to vote for the last 60 years), to assuming what my background is without any knowledge of who I am.

What did I do? I preached The Word, providing scripture references to support what I said and reminded all who hated, that God loved them and so do I. The devil couldn’t stand it when I told people I loved to love them and they eventually stopped commenting.

Instead of engaging on the level of ignorance of God’s Word shown by unbelievers, all we should do is to proclaim and explain God’s Word–no matter how foolish someone else might be. One person–even told me (I have it copied into a document) that MEN wrote the bible, but GOD wrote the ten commandments. When I questioned how they could believe God wrote the ten commandments but could not inspire men to write the bible, I received no reply. I realized that this person was merely referencing what they had seen in a movie–since they did not realize that the ten commandments are located in the bible–the same bible they refuted since “fallible, fickle men” wrote it.

Let’s endeavor to do what God said for us to do–preach The Word, be prepared in all situations to say what God said, and know why He said it so we can explain it to others. The time has come for us–who Believe in the totality of God’s Word and its contextual meaning to stand firm and proclaim it with confidence in Him, strengthened and empowered by Holy Spirit.

Are We Praying?

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” (Colossians 4:2-6 NIV)

When I think about what I might do if I was in chains, I wonder if I would have had the fortitude that Paul had. I honestly don’t know the answer to that because I’ve never been locked away from people or in chains. I can only pray that my devotion to God would enable me to do likewise.

But that’s the key–devotion–totally dedicated and committed to doing what is needful. Although most of us are appalled with the way the terrorist groups treat Christians, we must admit they are totally devoted to their goal–no matter how inhuman it is. They are so committed to accomplishing their goal they are willing to die to see it come to pass.

I don’t want to be involved with taking the life of a another human being, but wouldn’t it be great if the rest of us were as devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the terrorists are in trying to decimate us?

This, then is why Paul encouraged the church at Colosse (and us) to devote ourselves to prayer–being in constant communication with God about everything that concerns us. He cautions us to be watchful–paying attention to the changes taking place around, hearing Holy Spirit when He warns us of things to come, and taking whatever action we need to take to make sure the way of the Gospel is never blocked or closed to all those who desire to hear it.

Let’s face it–we have not always heeded Paul’s advice which is why there are so many changes in our society–and not all of them good. We were not being watchful when Madeline Murray O’Hara decided that her children didn’t need to be exposed to anyone praying in schools. The Body of Christ didn’t think she’d accomplish her goal and did nothing and so today, the school systems all over the country are running amuck because open prayer is not allowed. In other words–the devil won that round. But there are still those who are devoted to praying–and students are leading prayer circles in limited situations. Hooray for the brave, bold students, but what happened to the adults who should have been fighting for the rights of all to hear and agree with the prayers?

Once again, Christian Leadership in the country failed to act on warnings by Holy Spirit and the Supreme Court has led the way for the downward spiral of morality and we shall soon see such decadent immorality that it will make our dead ancestors cringe in unbelief. Were we praying before issues reached the Supreme Court? Were we praying that our elected body of legislators would do their jobs?

Are we praying–even now–or have we become complacent and apathetic–willing to just let things take their course?

My daily prayer includes thanking God for wisdom being poured out upon every leader in this country–that they will hear from heaven and act accordingly. I’m praying that those who made the decision to legalize sin would repent and for those participating in sinful acts would repent and seek God. I thank God for the ability to love, the boldness to teach His Word, and the wisdom to know what to say and when. I thank God for inspiring me to teach my children and grandchildren to learn to please God, not man. And more importantly, I’ve taught them to seek God–communicating with Him on a daily basis–for answers to all their questions and solutions for all their problems.

Are we praying? Are we devoted to seeking God for every situation we encounter–for peace in the world and salvation for all?

Lord, give us insight to know that we will never have the answers for all the world’s problems, but You do. And when You speak to us–directing us in how to help solve them, give us an ear to hear and a made-up mind to do–just as You direct us to do, exercising Godly wisdom at all times. Thank You for loving us enough to give us chance after chance to get things right before You return. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!
