We Will Keep Going!

We Will Keep Going!

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them. I also saw under the sun this example of wisdom that greatly impressed me: There was once a small city with only a few people in it. And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it and built huge siege works against it. Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man. So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded. The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good. Ecclesiastes 9:10-18 NIV

Anyone who has ever run a race knows a runner doesn’t put their maximum effort into the first stretch, they hold back a little reserving their energy and strength for the final stretch. They pace themselves so they won’t run out of energy and can complete the race. Not everyone can win, but everyone can finish.

In this particular time in our country, the resistance groups must pace themselves so they’ll be able finish the task–and the win is for all, not just one person.

For with this administration, anyone with eyes can see–the leadership doesn’t care about all Americans, but only a handful–mostly wealthy people--who don’t need healthcare assistance since most of them have stock in the insurance companies–who are currently ravaging anyone who pays insurance for anything.

More and more, I see what people are saying on social media and many of the delusional who voted in favor of 45–for whatever reason–are expressing regrets. They did not realize the rhetoric they heard against the elites was spouted by an elitist–born into wealth, never having to work for a living, but used to having their way about everything and ready to throw a tantrum when defied. This is what children do who were never disciplined.

I mean really, just how many of the 62 + million who voted for 45–amassed wealth based upon their father’s wealth or from what they inherited? How many of them owned their own jet? How many of them filed multiple bankruptcies, leaving their creditors holding the bag? How many bragged about using other people’s money to invest–or risk? How many of them are so narcissistic they only care about themselves? Any of them suffering from megalomania?

I don’t know the answers to the questions, but I can imagine, that not even 1% of those who voted for 45, have a clue as to what wealth really is. Most–are simply hoping to have an income and have no desire to obtain wealth. With the exception of those in Congress, who have shown themselves not only to push their agenda that benefits the wealthy, but leaves the poor–in much worse shape than before this recent election, ever took place, they will never know wealth.

The lies told about “bringing good jobs back,” in coal mining and steel mills was a deliberate falsehood pushed to get votes, but will not materialize simply because the world is no longer dependent upon coal as an energy source, and steel is cheaper produced in other countries. But just for show–regulations against polluting water sources by coal mines was lifted, so now the poor–can drink poisoned water.

Those who voted for 45 out of hatred for Hillary are learning–too late–that it is never a good idea to allow emotions to rule in a person’s life. The real rub is–most are seeing that everything negative said about Hillary was a lie, but is really true of 45. Too little, too late the stage has been set, and there may not be any winners at all.

But there are some–resilient, committed, folks who are resisting and opposing the plans of the evil ruler and with wisdom, they will prevail as we are seeing the widening cracks of chaos that dwells in the White House.

We will not give up and daily we are growing in strength, diving into deep end of opposition, prepared for the battle and exercising wisdom every step of the way. For in the end, it will be wisdom that saves the day, though many may not understand it.

With the wisdom exercised by those who know and understand history, we can see elements of tyranny in the White House and we are alerting everyone we meet of the danger and evil that exists to isolate America from other countries so we are left to our own devices, stripped and left naked, exposed for the enemy to walk in and take over. And like those in the past who kept going–until victory was obtained–we too, will keep going, until all the evil has been exposed and routed into the justice systems, designed to keep a balance in our democracy.

We will not give in or give up–we will continue this fight–for justice and liberty for all–we will keep going and nothing the enemy does to discourage or dissuade will stop us. We’re keeping a steady pace, holding back until the last stretch and we will prevail.

We will–no matter what–keep going!

Where He Leads!

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3 NIV

Every so often we need to go back and “refresh” our thoughts about God’s Word even though most of us can quote the 23rd Psalm verbatim. However, understanding is not found in merely quoting passages of scripture, but in analyzing them, picking them apart to see what was going on then and how to apply it now.

Shepherds lead their flock on a path of safety, away from the drama of life in situations they cannot change, and keep them focused on what’s needed. If the shepherd doesn’t keep the flock safe–the sheep will wander off and get themselves killed and become of no benefit to anyone except the wolves who stand at the ready to devour them.

Wolves standing at the ready to devour silly, foolish sheep who will not follow sound instruction is true both naturally and spiritually. In the natural, the shepherd loses the potential worth of the the sheep’s wool and the sustenance of the meat. Spiritually, the shepherd loses the potential of growth–gaining more witnesses to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in tithes and offerings to expand a viable program in bringing others into the knowledge of Christ.

There are so many shepherds out in the world of Christianity who are only concerned with fleecing the sheep–not feeding them so they will be valuable commodities in the kingdom, but draining people dry of valuable resources, but never giving them a nutritional message–one they can feed on for days and learn something by doing so. A “hoop” and a “holler” won’t provide any sustenance–it may ignite emotions for a minute, but once the moment is past–there is nothing–zero calories–a waste of time.

I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.”
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

When we sing this timeless song of dedication and commitment to the Lord, are we really saying we’ll allow Him to lead us or are we simply following the man or woman in the pulpit who are not true shepherds?

If we’re following Christ, we will be fed and nurtured in His Word–prepared to do good works; if we’re following people–only God knows where we’ll end up–and that may be–devoured by the wolves.

Think carefully today about who is leading you and where they may be leading you. Do you have a good shepherd or is there a wolf in sheep’s clothing leading you astray? The Good Shepherd will only say what His Father has already said–the wolf–will manipulate God’s Word to appease people and to mislead them.

Where Jesus leads me–I will follow and go with Him, all the way!

Are We Praying?

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” (Colossians 4:2-6 NIV)

When I think about what I might do if I was in chains, I wonder if I would have had the fortitude that Paul had. I honestly don’t know the answer to that because I’ve never been locked away from people or in chains. I can only pray that my devotion to God would enable me to do likewise.

But that’s the key–devotion–totally dedicated and committed to doing what is needful. Although most of us are appalled with the way the terrorist groups treat Christians, we must admit they are totally devoted to their goal–no matter how inhuman it is. They are so committed to accomplishing their goal they are willing to die to see it come to pass.

I don’t want to be involved with taking the life of a another human being, but wouldn’t it be great if the rest of us were as devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the terrorists are in trying to decimate us?

This, then is why Paul encouraged the church at Colosse (and us) to devote ourselves to prayer–being in constant communication with God about everything that concerns us. He cautions us to be watchful–paying attention to the changes taking place around, hearing Holy Spirit when He warns us of things to come, and taking whatever action we need to take to make sure the way of the Gospel is never blocked or closed to all those who desire to hear it.

Let’s face it–we have not always heeded Paul’s advice which is why there are so many changes in our society–and not all of them good. We were not being watchful when Madeline Murray O’Hara decided that her children didn’t need to be exposed to anyone praying in schools. The Body of Christ didn’t think she’d accomplish her goal and did nothing and so today, the school systems all over the country are running amuck because open prayer is not allowed. In other words–the devil won that round. But there are still those who are devoted to praying–and students are leading prayer circles in limited situations. Hooray for the brave, bold students, but what happened to the adults who should have been fighting for the rights of all to hear and agree with the prayers?

Once again, Christian Leadership in the country failed to act on warnings by Holy Spirit and the Supreme Court has led the way for the downward spiral of morality and we shall soon see such decadent immorality that it will make our dead ancestors cringe in unbelief. Were we praying before issues reached the Supreme Court? Were we praying that our elected body of legislators would do their jobs?

Are we praying–even now–or have we become complacent and apathetic–willing to just let things take their course?

My daily prayer includes thanking God for wisdom being poured out upon every leader in this country–that they will hear from heaven and act accordingly. I’m praying that those who made the decision to legalize sin would repent and for those participating in sinful acts would repent and seek God. I thank God for the ability to love, the boldness to teach His Word, and the wisdom to know what to say and when. I thank God for inspiring me to teach my children and grandchildren to learn to please God, not man. And more importantly, I’ve taught them to seek God–communicating with Him on a daily basis–for answers to all their questions and solutions for all their problems.

Are we praying? Are we devoted to seeking God for every situation we encounter–for peace in the world and salvation for all?

Lord, give us insight to know that we will never have the answers for all the world’s problems, but You do. And when You speak to us–directing us in how to help solve them, give us an ear to hear and a made-up mind to do–just as You direct us to do, exercising Godly wisdom at all times. Thank You for loving us enough to give us chance after chance to get things right before You return. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!

Stay in the Fight!

When trouble comes your way

Do you play dead or stay in the fight?

To see just how victorious you will be

Determination, passion, yeah that’s the key

To success—achieving your dreams no matter

What others think or how it may seem,

This is your time, no slacking, doubting

Your claim to your name being bounced

Around—flying here and there—in the minds

Of all who can and will do something about

This crazy carousel ride—careening through the night

Almost tossing you to the ground, but holding on

With all your might—you make it to the end and discover

You were right all along; this could be a song of

Deliverance, patience, fortitude, and might bringing

Justice and victory closer, just within sight

Of the naysayers so they can see, just how grand

Life is when you stay in the fight!
