Our Hope In God!

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,  because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. I Timothy 4:1-10 NIV

What Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts is the best intelligence we could ever receive for He knows the ins from the outs and all around us what is going on in the hearts of men, women and children. When we believe that He is indeed the purveyor of truth to all who will receive, we are fortified against the wiles of the enemy and all the lies he promotes. I am so glad I know The Lord for myself and have no need for any others to convince me of His goodness. For whatever Holy Spirit speaks to my heart, comes to pass, whether I agree with it or not. God’s truth does not change based upon what we believe; His truth is truth in spite of what we believe and He never lies.

And since we know God is not a man that He should lie, and that in fact he hates liars, we do not have to wonder about the beliefs of others who claim to be Christians. If people support a liar, they do not belong to God. If people promote lies, they do not belong to God. If people attempt to malign others based upon the perpetuation of lies, they do not belong to God.

So how is it that many so-called Christians are supporting a demon? And that is what the overaged-tantrum-throwing-toddler–narcissistic megalomanic about to be sworn in as president of the United States is–and only the liars are not willing to admit what they have done. The rest of us know!

Instead of seeing what was behind the “Make America Great Again” slogan, they failed to realize the depths of deception  used by the devil who influenced the rallying cry and those who were despondent and angry chose the devil–totally deceived by the ungodly rhetoric he spewed. The plan–as we who can see beyond any bias can tell–is unfolding daily and soon–if Congressional leaders will not do their job and uphold their oath of office, we’ll be in bed in Putin–simply because he has leverage over the devil elected by sightless people.

Readers beware: I can fully appreciate your engagement with my blogs, but I will not allow any person who puts their pants on the same way I do to influence what I write. I will write as directed by Holy Spirit and if that’s a problem for you–Godspeed!

And while I’m brushing up on enough Russian to oppose the invasion, I’ll be praying that all who truly serve The Lord, and know His Word for themselves, will be fortified daily with a fresh anointing in Holy Spirit and maintain their Hope in God! God still has the last word in all that happens in the land!

Psalm 109:6-8 is a timely prayer for those who live in opposition to God!

Do You Hear Us, Lord?

How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save? Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.” Habakkuk 1:2-4 NIV

This first prayer by the prophet, reminds me of where some of us might feel we are today. For those of us who have been praying, relentlessly, and see nothing on the surface of things changing, we (or at least I do) tend to wonder if God is hearing us.

But then as we look at the rest of this passage and see God’s response, we must also wonder if God is not doing the same thing now, as He allowed then. That is, allowing plans for massive destruction by those who hate all of God’s people because God’s people won’t obey Him. Perhaps, now as it was then–we’ll have to be held captive by truly hateful people in order for God to get our attention!

When destruction comes–we have only ourselves to blame. We deliberately exchanged the lie of the enemy for God’s Truth and made the lie a priority by which men live rather than God’s Truth. As since the lie–streaming from the top (our President)  flows over the people and is choking God’s Truth–cutting off the oxygen supply needed for brain cells to function–we are left with mindless laws that promote and encourage living in opposition to God’s Word. There is no justice with the Supreme Court Justices and all will have to stand before God and give an account of their actions. And since we are a nation that is not concerned with justice for all–we will be subjected to the justice exercised by the ungodly.

Therefore, at every turn, we see Believers belittled and their rights ignored for the satisfaction of the few–ungodly--who hope to pervert the entire nation so they can pacify the lusts of their flesh. When will all the ungodliness cease and people come to their senses before it’s too late? Or is it already too late? With the blustering buffoonery we see campaigning to become president and the hatred and bigotry displayed against entire groups of people, what has this nation caved to doing? Our so-called political correctness has opened the door for disaster and those dastardly demons are laughing their butts off at our expense.

Lord, You have promised that the fervent, never-ending prayers of the righteous accomplish much and we are waiting–to see the fruit of our prayers yield–peace, love, and an end to violence and hatred exhibited by so many. Create in the hearts of all those who oppose You, a desire to please You and a willingness to repent of all things that are not like You. We know You hear and answer prayer and we wait to see the majestic results  so all will know–You and You alone are God!

Receive The Truth!

“If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus…” (I Timothy 4:6 NIV)

What were the things Paul was referencing to Timothy?

In order to understand this scripture within the context of it being stated, one would have to read from the 1st verse to the end. But, for the purposes of responding to the question, I’ll state this much: Paul was reminding Timothy of a time to come when seducing, deceiving, ungodly spirits would influence mankind and he wanted Timothy to be on the alert and told him what to watch for.

Are we at that time in our society where we can see “deceiving spirits and doctrines taught by demons”?

Any doctrine–allegedly used to support Christian faith–that does not align with The Word is a doctrine of demons. Who are the demons? Look around you. Pay attention to what is being taught; especially those things that are contrary to The Word. We need not get upset with people, but we certainly need to pray for deliverance for those who are being influenced by the demons.

In Romans 1:26-32–other admonitions and warnings to Christians as to the changing times and demonic influence being used, we see that the time Paul referenced is indeed now. What are we who know the truth going to do about it? I don’t know about you, but I’m calling on the name of Jesus to reveal truth, expose every demon, remove the blinders from all who have been deceived, and return their hearts to receive truth. He can and will do all that people allow Him to do. He will not force people to receive truth, but He will use all who are willing to promote and teach truth of The Word–not political correctness (the doctrine of demons) and it those who promote the truth that Paul is saying is a good minister of Christ Jesus.
