Serving A Socialistic God !

This list of scriptures regarding the poor could go on for a long time. It is significant to note, that God has always been concerned about the poor–those who for whatever reason are not able to take care of themselves as well as those who have riches. He has given us instructions as to how we are to treat the poor and yet–because of the Republican party–who claims to be Christian, does not understand socialism the way God demonstrated it. Notice, I did not say how God defined it, but how He demonstrated it. If they understood socialism as God demonstrates it in His Word with all of His instructions to all who believe in Him, they would not do everything they can to destroy the lives of the poor and the needy.

Republicans have plotted to destroy every program instituted to help the poor–with no remorse and in fact–some have been, “gleeful.”

Destruction by slashing funding for the Affordable Care Act–hurts the poor more than it helps the rich.

Destruction by slashing funding for food assistance hurts the poor.

Destruction by slashing funding for education hurts the the poor.

Destruction by dismantling all the safeguards regarding our environment hurts the poor (those in coal-mining communities will soon see this as well as those who will be harmed by the pollutants in the air.)

Destruction by slashing funding for any government program serves only one purpose–to hurt the poor.

Republicans often criticize Democrats for their socialism–because Democrats increase spending to help the poor–but then the Republicans claim to be the party of family values and morality. Everything they do to destroy the poor, proves they lie and if they read their bibles with understanding–they would know how God feels about liars. But they won’t–because they think they know everything and the rest of us know nothing. And it is because of their blindness they think we don’t see the corruption and the blatant raping of America’s Treasury–enacted by all the corrupt cabinet members installed by Putin’s directions. We see and we know–the evil that flows from the White House that the Evangelicals have tried to sugarcoat as all being part of God’s plan. They lie!

The bottom line for me is this–God is not really interested in my political party affiliation–He’s more interested in what I do that honors Him–in all things and that includes providing for the poor and the needy. So, my goal as the next president will be to make sure the needs of the poor are addressed and that funding is available to stabilize America’s future endeavors for all (healthcare, education, food, job training, care for senior citizens and veterans).

It’s not that I think we should “give anyone all they want” and that includes the politicians who are running rampant through tax dollars to appease their egos, but we should be a support for those trying to climb out of poverty and help to make our country productive and economically sound. I’m a registered Democrat and will probably remain one as long as I live since my values align with God’s instructions.

Americans Must Speak For America!

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. In your anger do not sin. When the Secretary of State tells people, “the president speaks for himself,” it speaks volumes — he is not speaking for Americans or even on behalf of Americans — his narcissistic approach to everything — it’s all about him. It’s never about what’s best for the country.

He thinks it’s more important for him to deliver on ill-conceived promises than to pay attention to public opinion. Hence, his determination to build a wall that no one thinks is vital other than his base — 33% of the population; his determination to deport Dreamers — proving how inhuman he is; and his constant obsession with Obama and the lies he spreads — all proven lies. Lest we forget, he’s now pulling advertising funds to promote ACA in order to prove how “disastrous” it is. He thinks if people forget to enroll by deadlines, his point will be made. How presidential is that — undermining the ability of millions of people to have access to healthcare? Is he speaking for Americans or himself — one more ill-conceived promise that appealed to his base because they didn’t realize — Obamacare — was in fact the ACA.

More importantly, on the issues of racism, and fascism, he says one thing and yet does another. His mouth and his actions are always misaligned and out of step with the rest of the world. We see this with his “multiple” addresses of the racial tension and the death of Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, VA. Saying what’s on a teleprompter — words of others — we see how disconnected he is to the words in his monotonous delivery. Speaking from his heart — we hear the venom and rage against anyone who dares to question him and we see his unequivocal support of white nationalist groups and the KKK. Kellyanne Conway was right — we shouldn’t pay attention to what he says, we should watch what he does for — “from the abundance of the heart” the mouth speaks and actions follow.

Not knowing history, he maintains the confederate symbolism should stay where they are. He refuses to include the KKK or other hate groups on the terrorist watch list, but would instead include the group that will oppose the hate groups — openly — antifa.

His support and pardon of Joe Arpaio proves how racist he really is and that he has no respect for the rule of law.

His bullying rhetoric provoking North Korea puts all of us in danger, but he doesn’t care because his ego has something to prove — other than being a total idiot — I have no idea what that might be.

And now because he can’t have his way with Congress, he’s decided to bully them — apparently confused about their role — they don’t work for him; they’re supposed to work for all Americans. His lack of knowledge about how government works is appalling and his notion that being president made him a king is laughable — at times. He wants to be a dictator so badly that he’s going to wind up sitting behind bars — contemplating where he went wrong.

I can’t speak for him or others, but I can speak for myself and hope every other American speaks for themselves — to the world — letting them know — trump does not speak for us.

To the Mainstream Media who has been so vilified by trump — I thank you for your efforts in keeping America informed with truth, and not lies. I thank you for the sacrifice — risking your lives to bring us awareness of crises in our land.

To the thousands of volunteers who assisted in the rescue of Texas residents, who made sure they survived — thank you.

To the thousands of people who donated/contributed supplies, money, time, whatever they had to help those in need — thank you.

To the Coast Guard who performed admirably even under the threat of having funding for their unit cut — thank you.

To the churches and mosques who opened their doors to shelter those in the storm — thank you.

Since trump thought people in a shelter were showing “lots of happiness” and refused to address their plight — by telling them to “enjoy themselves and have a good time,” he showed how foolish he was. He was only there for the photo op to re-do his inability to show empathy in a previous visit to Corpus Christi. He failed miserably. Showing up for scripted photo-ops does not mean he has empathy; it simply means he was following the script — as most “actors” do.

His vilification of the media does not speak for me. His disdain for any people of color does not speak for me. His lies — about everything — do not speak for me.

We are in America — where there is supposed to be justice for all — regardless of skin tones, ethnic background, religion or gender — and trump does not regard the Constitution nor is he upholding his oath of office. Therefore, he cannot represent Americans in his illogical delivery of a warped vocabulary or word salad.

We are better than his words, his attitude and his actions. We will speak for ourselves so that the world may know — he doesn’t speak for us or represent anything we believe. We openly and categorically denounce the heinous actions of all hate groups and we denounce trump for enabling them with his “hate-group language codes and symbolism.”

The world is watching America, what are we going to do to stop the nonsense? I don’t know about you, but I’m preparing for a presidential run in 2020 in which I hope to win and change the world’s views about who Americans really are.

How Are We Walking?

For we walk by faith, not by sight! 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV

In some ways, this post today could be a continuation of the “Where are the watchmen?” series. But today, as I was completing my mile walk, it occurred to me that sometimes, we all overlook the significance of using words appropriately because “words matter.” Follow my thoughts here.

I was thinking about all the challenges I’ve faced in life as I prepare my run for the presidency in 2020.  I’ve been rear-ended twice and in both collisions, cars were totaled; I’ve suffered a stroke which could have caused a total collapse of my body. In all three incidents; my “sight” was temporarily impaired, but I never lost hope and fought through the darkness, determined to keep living. My vision–to live until I’m 95–kept me from losing hope in the longevity I want to see. 

You see, what I get from this–is our sight has to do with our physical ability to see and even if our sight is impaired, it should never interfere with our vision–a vision we have hopefully written on paper, cyberspace or in our hearts. My vision for longevity is written in all I do–on paper, in cyberspace and in my heart. I have a lot to do before I leave the earth realm and I plan to get it all done–and I will–as long as I keep my faith in Christ Jesus and not in people or things.

If America loses sight of the vision–a great place for all to live where we have the freedom to think independently from government or religions or any other entity–we cave to those things and people who want to control us.

I challenge every American–to wake up and pay attention to what’s going on around us–specifically in the political arena. Do not allow one political party to interfere with your right to vote with their gerrymandering, election rigging, or any other means to suppress your vote. Rise up and know–your vote is your voice in our government and this is why–GOP leadership wants to restrain your voice–so only theirs is heard.

I have a vision for America–the place where we have fought for freedom and now must fight to retain it. The America I love will embrace people from all walks of life, opening arms and hearts of compassion for all who are in need of shelter and comfort. We will learn to think and act as one unit–united by love of country, not divided by party politics. We will not allow a foreign entity’s misdeeds to overshadow what we have already accomplished, caving to their dictates through the embodiment of greed and corruption. We will stand firm, determined and convinced that our Constitution is right for us and we will not allow greed to change our path. Though our “sight” may be impaired for a moment by the glitz and idiocy of those in leadership positions, we will not lose sight of the vision–written in the Constitution and in our hearts, confirmed with the gift of the Statute of Liberty, and upheld in the motto of our military actions–America is the land of the free and there is no other place, I’d rather be–than at the helm in the White House, in 2020, governing for all Americans and not just a handful of the privileged, elite.

• We will defend the rights of the poor and the needy and put out of business the corrupt and the greedy.
• We will provide quality healthcare and education for all who seek one beyond the environs of public education.
• We will lead this new technological era with revolutionary ideas that will keep all employed who want to work and pay them well, so they won’t shirk.
• Taxation will be fair to all, with the lesser income households paying the least, and the greater incomes, paying the most so government won’t suffer loss.
• We will maintain our military might as they watch and guard us through the night.
• We will honor our senior citizens and treat them with the respect and honor they deserve, giving them what is rightfully theirs, held in reserve.
• We will learn to love and respect all human beings as one race, with none being superior to another, alleviating the need for strife based on race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or skin tone. There is but one blood, shed for us all and there is but one blood, red–that flows through us all and it’s time we recognize that fact and change our act.

Though there are days, my sight gives me reason to pause, since aging has it’s own pace and challenges, I will never give up my vision–now written for all to see on the walls of cyberspace–easily shared. 

Are you ready to assist in this task, making the sure the vision is never curtailed, but will last for generations to come, on a planet will survive the test of climate change because we will change how we live–living by faith and acting with prudence in all that we do?

I’m ready, willing and able to do all to make sure the vision comes to past and all Everyday Americans will have-assurance in government once again, at least in the leader who shall lead all nations in the proclamation of peace and prosperity, none knowing lack. I don’t know about you, but I’m walking by faith in God and all He has poured into me to do, not by what I see that’s imperiled by man.

 

Is Our Entire Government Befuddled?

That fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley, will be like figs ripe before harvest–as soon as people see them and take them in hand, they swallow them.  In that day, the Lord Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people. He will be a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. And these also stagger from beer are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions. All the tables are covered with vomit and there is not a spot without filth. Isaiah 28:4-8 NIV

Reflecting upon what is happening in our country and lining it up with The Word, I can see how this passage may speak to the current events.  It would appear that our government–on every level–is befuddled with no one able to think clearly. It’s as though they have been caught sipping the shake of stupidity and are now reeling with the results.

Under normal circumstances–had there been any effort to interfere with an election as broad as the spectrum is with trump–they would have been ousted from any position of authority. But no, our GOP congress has decided to “normalize” the behavior and give him passes to thwart ethics policies by giving people waivers, by not insisting he divulge his taxes, or divesting himself from his business interests, and ignoring the blatant nepotism that exist in giving his daughter and son-in-law access to nation’s secrets.

And now, he’s promoting his wife’s business venture on the White House website. Is there any end to this atrocity? Is everyone on Capitol Hill befuddled beyond recovery to see that this idiot is taking America for a ride for which there may be no return?

We know–Russia was involved with interfering with the 2016 election; we know trump benefitted from that involvement; we know trump owes Russia tons of money; we know trump is not a true Patriot, he’s only in the Oval Office to see how much he can get out of it for himself and his millionaire donors. There is no denying this and all a person has to do is to open their eyes and see.

So, why is Congress not acting upon what they have to see? There is only one viable answer and it is not that they’re giving him a chance to become presidential. It is much more sinister than that. They are profiting from the chaos by passing bills and getting the idiot to sign them when they know he won’t read them. They are profiting by having the power to seemingly get away with murder–literally with their healthcare bill–all in an effort to snub their noses or rather give Obama the finger. There are no adults functioning in the GOP congress–they all act like immature, bullies–determined to make fools of themselves in their quest to defend the indefensible idiotic behavior coming out of the White House. They are drunk with power and fear of being caught with their own ties to Russia being revealed–befuddled–unable to think clearly because they have forgotten that country takes precedence over party.

But this too, can and shall change in the coming months. Since they refuse to stop sipping the shake of stupidity, voters who are not are planning a return to sanity–without the chaos and confusion running rampant by changing the entire landscape of DC from red to blue. Watch for it–people will clearly put country before party and proceed–thinking clearly, no more befuddlement.

I’m one of the many anticipating change by running for something–president of the United States and I’m not drunk on power nor hate-driven, nor frustrated to the point of not thinking clearly. I want this country to maintain its status as a world leader and we can only do that with a world-class leader. It’s time we get back to business and shake off the spirit of stupid and move this country forward.

Understanding Choice and Choosing!

“Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods! It was the LORD our God himself who brought us and our parents up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled. And the LORD drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 1 Peter 4:3 NIV

From the beginning–in the Garden of Eden–God has given us choice–He provides us with instruction, but He does not make choices for us. With the right to choose-we also endure the consequences of our actions. There is always an equal reaction for every action so we can choose to do good and receive good or we can choose to do wrong and receive the consequences for it.

Once again, I reject the notion that God chose Donald J. Trump to be president of this great as some have erroneously claimed and the proof–the foundation for my rejection–is coming to the surface and will expose all those who lied to put him in a position of leadership–when his past and current actions–informed all who had discerning spirits–those who heard Holy Spirit–from the beginning.

Let me be clear on this point! With the vast majority of true Believers–those who love The Lord and live according to His Word–there had to have been at least one person–God would have chosen to lead a great nation. God’s choice would have a been person whose heart belonged to Him, not a person who lies about everything, including the lies. But then that’s what a pathological liar does–they think everything they say is true and don’t recognize they are lying. The lying alone should have alerted–Holy Spirit believers to turn away from such a person, since we know God hates liars! But since there are those in the “Christian Community” who forged ahead, promoting the notion that God is somehow opposed to His Own Word–we now have to deal with the Blatant-Liar-in-Chief (for the moment).

Whether people believe what I’ve just stated is not really a matter of concern for me. I know what God says in His Word and I know–He will never encourage anyone who belongs to Him to live in opposition to His Word.

The truth of the matter is–and while many have observed and acknowledged it–others have ignored it–there are neurotransmitters in Trump’s brain that are not connecting. He suffers from a cognitive disability that those close to him are trying to keep hidden. But once again, to the discerning person who actually pays attention to his speech patterns, lack of inability to focus, lack of impulse control and need for praise and attention–we know! And why a psychological evaluation is not part of the vetting process is a source of amazement to me.

I could go on about the Russian connection that I suspected months ago and even wrote about, but now that the media is finally covering it–I won’t say much more at this point. I choose not to say more–for the moment.

But getting back to those who promoted Trump as God’s choice and pushed congregations to vote for him, I have a few questions: Did people know they were voting for the entire family–the adult children to run the White House? Did people know that his cabinet picks would be some of the most vile people who ever walked the earth? Did people know that instead of draining the swamp, he’d fill it with scum from the bottom of the swamp who are only interested in demolishing the government? Did they know? Were they told?

Jesus told us, “by our love for one another would others recognize us–belonging to Him.” Does anyone see in love coming forth from any of the “religious sect-headed for the White House?” I see greed and cronyism abounding as all determine how they can destroy lives fo many, and help only themselves and their immediate families.

Wake up America! There is no reason for God to oppose Himself and He most certainly did not “choose” Trump–those who want to control others–chose Trump and they lied to everyone else to insure they voted for him–gullible people chose Trump, not God. The proof–is evident for everyone not wearing blinders!

And remember–not everyone saying, “Lord, Lord” will enter into Heaven. Some will hear, “Depart from me–I never knew you!”

That Was Then, This is now!

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV).

Remember the good old days?  You know–the days when a neighbor helped a neighbor; when children respected all adults; when being pregnant without being married brought shame on a family; when fathers took care of their children; when mothers could stay home and raise their children and take of their houses; when preachers had integrity; when teachers didn’t get intimately involved with their students; when educators could actually teach students and not test them to death and the students learned–to read, think, and write. Does anyone remember the days when all audiences watching television could do so without being bombarded with profanity and other obscenities? Does anyone remember the days when the government regulated what was aired on television and radio and children appeared to be less inclined to become involved with negative behaviors?

Well, the good old days are gone; that was then, and this is now. Now–everything has changed and not for the better. I acknowledge there can be no progress without change, but I also acknowledge that all change does not lead to progression, but in fact, regression.

What is the regression?  Our society is regressing to the days when “men did what was right in their own eyes” and forgot about God.  In fact, we have removed God from just about everything we do in this society–schools, government, churches, homes–everything but the money and if those who are influenced by Satan have their way, that won’t be long in occurring. And Satan misleads people under the guise of keeping “a separation of church and state” which is what he does–deceive the nations.

So, here we are–in the 21st Century–going nowhere fast–except further away from God and how He wants us to live.  We seem to have forgotten that we are saved by grace, not of works and not of our own doing, but God’s. We seem to have forgotten that “He created us to do good works” and those had been planned in advance.  Our government has ignored the plight of the people who elected them. The government has ignored the price society has to pay with “deregulation” and parents have ignored their responsibility in teaching their children appropriate behavior–anywhere they go.  Where is God in all of this? He is pushed to the background and Satan is hoping that’s where He will stay.

It is time–way past time–for all who have a relationship with God to stand up and say so! It is time for true Believers to make a difference in our society and we won’t do it by praying alone (we must pray), but by seeking God’s directions in everything we do and for whom we elect and then do as He directs us to do.  We must put God back in His rightful place in our society–at the forefront, not the background, if anything will change for the better.  If we are truly intended to do good works–it is time we got started.

Stand up Believers! For the condition our society rests upon us–to promote the Gospel and live Godly lives in front of all so they will know who we are–we won’t have to tell them. Stand up for righteousness as God defines it!  Stand up for The One who created all things and without Him, nothing was created.  Stand up! We need to be as bold and determined as those who came before us–determined to do what is right for all people.

 

 

Even If The Mountains Fall!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,” (Psalm 46: 1,2 NIV).

Though the news in far-away places is usually negative and depressing, we have no need to fear.

Though politicians refuse to do the job for which they were elected (make decisions for the people, not the greedy), we have no need to fear.

Though the foolish and idiotic attempt to sway believers they are wasting their time believing in God, we have no need to fear.

Though the gun-lobbyists are fueling evil and creating environments that cost lives, we have no need to fear.

Though lawmakers create laws that encourage sin in the land, we have no need to fear.

Though there can be little hope for peace among those who are peace-breakers, and not peace-makers, we have no need to fear.

Though it may appear that all hope is lost because of man’s desire to do what pleases himself instead of God, we have no need to fear.

No matter how the enemy influences others to do what is totally against God, we who believe that God is and will always be–our refuge and strength in times of trouble, have no need to fear. We can and will stand confident in the knowledge of God and in His Word and we will not be moved by trends or people who deliberately defy God. Though the mountains tumble into the sea–our confidence remains deeply rooted in the faith that God can and will save us.  Even though some may see and know physical death, our eternal resting place is guaranteed, and nothing will deter us from obtaining it.

 

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for Your Word that rises up mightily in us in the face of danger and negative reports.  Thank You for instilling in us, unmoving faith in You and in the knowledge of who You are and Your plans for us.  Remind us to encourage others in the faith, to hold onto Your Word, no matter what the enemy does, and be not moved by the appearances of things, but moved only by our faith in You.

 

Beware The Enemy

The Word tells us that we are not ignorant of Satan’s devices (or his influences). When we read the Word with understanding, we come away with knowledge and insight to detect the enemy at work within our jobs, our homes, our community, and our nation.

The enemy’s job is to steal, kill, and destroy; he is the father of liars and a master of deception. And since we know that God is not the author of confusion, guess who is? If he can confuse, he can delude (tricking people) into seeing what is not or what is not, is. Know your enemy well; recognize him for who he is and how he influences. Don’t attempt to war with flesh for the Word tells us that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God in pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations (delusions) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4,5).

Do you recognize these traits illustrated in your loved ones: Are they stealing your joy by their behavior and conduct; are they killing the desire within you to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ; are they attempting to destroy everything you have accomplished or dreamed; are they lying to you every chance they get, and are they attempting to deceive you with tricks because they think you’re stupid?

Don’t get mad at them, get mad at the devil and stomp on his head! Put your foot squarely on his neck and remind him that he has already been defeated and that you’re going to make sure he stays that way. Pray, praise, and pray some more. Pray in the natural and pray in the spirit—and teach your children how to recognize him as well and have them join in the prayer and praise fest—at home, in the car, on your job, in their school, wherever people are—expect the enemy’s influence to be present—but don’t give in to it. Recognize him at work and call him out on it. No weapon—none—that he can toss our way can in any way hurt us—unless we allow it. Glory to God in the highest! We praise You for the victory—in all things at all times. Hallelujah!
