A Rightful Place In History

Deb Haaland, President-Elect Joe Biden’s pick as Secretary of the Interior, the first Native Inhabitant to hold a position in a presidential cabinet will be a welcomed sight for many.

While listening to him describe her background, I was moved to the past, a past before America was America and struggled not to be angry over the treatment and massacre of so many human beings. I have always had an affinity towards the “Indians” in movies and hated watching them being accused of something they didn’t do and then being killed. My stepfather loved watching cowboy movies and unfortunately, the cowboys always won. The depiction portrayed was that Indians were evil and the cowboys were the good guys except for the fact that some of the cowboys were just downright evil.

All the cowboys portrayed in the television shows of old were white. All the bad or evil people were either black or Indian. And this is what generations of people grew up believing, until now. Until now, most chose to ignore the history of this land. How the Europeans came to this land, were helped by the Native Inhabitants to survive the elements and to grow food they did not know. Then, after surviving tenuous situations, the Europeans repaid the Native Inhabitants by stealing their land, killing off entire tribes, and relegating them to dry arid lands (reservations) where they were expected to just die off. They did not just die off and Deb Haaland is proof that no matter how terrible her ancestors were treated, the Native Inhabitants of the land knew how to survive, all the torture and mistreatment they have endured.

And they will survive to tell the story, a better story than the Europeans would ever tell because of the history in the making. What is shameful is the fact that there are still people (of European descent) who still think Native Inhabitants are inferior to them and they publicly treat them abominably. But then again, we have a segment of our society who treats everyone who does not “look like them or think like them or worships like them” abominably, still.

Now, there are number of people who might be reading this who might be wondering why a black woman is so outraged at the treatment of Native Inhabitants. Perhaps, the outrage is because they are human beings, just as I am, and I understand how hateful it is to be treated with disdain because that’s exactly how my ancestors were treated. The Native Inhabitants were already here, my ancestors were brought to this land in chains and forced to forego their native languages and customs to assimilate themselves to the white European ways. Or maybe the outrage stems from the blood flowing through my veins that aligns with tribes of the land.

There is so much that I can say about ill-will and faux superiority of white Europeans that it would take volumes to say it all. The true (unabridged) history books tell the story, how elected leaders ordered others killed, and no one cared, how faux negotiations were made for land and then the white man stole the land, breaching the negotiations made in good faith, forcing the Native Inhabitants to be on the move, giving up their way of life, just to survive the atrocities lodged against them.

America could have learned so much from the Native Inhabitants, had they been able to put their robe of superiority in a closet and donned a robe of humility for a few hundred years. Had there been an ounce of humility in any of those who came across the pond to this land, slavery would not have been an issue that has kept human beings in bondage for hundreds of years and in a state that many would like to see that particular position continue. Like the Native Inhabitants, black descendants of slaves learned survival and because of their inherent innovative skills, are responsible for multiple creations that have helped make life easier for all, though they were not always given credit for their contribution to this society.

What is country needs, is a microscopic look into the history that has brought us to this place and understand that if change, real change is not initiated, America will cease to exist as we have known it and the planet will die without the bold, creative genius employed by descendants of slaves that has so often been ignored. The Native Inhabitants knew how to take care of the land to keep a supply of food and resources available and the descendants of slaves, knew how to create what was needed from the resources sustained. If anyone should be wearing a robe of superiority it should be the Native Inhabitants, who had it not been for them, white Europeans would never have survived living in this land.

But all things being equal—at least that is the fight of the 21^st Century, that we are all treated equally, and no one suffers injustice—watching this step up for Deb Haaland and a host of ancestors will be the beginning of something wonderful and I sincerely hope, those who insist onto holding to their bigotry will move out the way or be moved out of the way so freedom and justice can be enjoyed by all.

It’s Time Folks!

Time to wake up and see clearly all that this election means.

What everyone needs to remember first and foremost are these two facts about the major political parties:

Democrats Care More About All The People Than The Party

Republicans want to control every aspect of a person’s life and care about party ideology more than the people (power over people)

Can I make it plain?

I have seen with my own eyes and heard with my own ears–the kind of hatred and bigotry spewed by Republicans (especially the trump party) that has led to people being randomly targeted and killed, pipe bombs sent to silence those who dare to criticize the orange monster in the White House and all the while–Republican leaders are posturing that they care about human life (trump wants the death penalty back on the books). Here’s what This Era Republicans care about–maintaining power over people (controlling what people do) and maintaining the wealth in the hands of a few. That’s it. They care nothing about the people in America and everything they do–legislatively–proves it.

This administration since 2017 has rolled back environmental protection measures established to protect all of us. They rolled back the requirements for corporations so the corporations could make more money and not be held accountable for the damage done to our health because of toxic soil, polluted water and air. And on top of all that not caring about our health and food supply, they’re doing everything they can to gut healthcare for those with pre-existing conditions as well as remove access to affordable healthcare for the masses. They claim the government can’t subsidize healthcare because it will blow up the deficit. Well, their tax cuts for the wealthy, did just that–blew up the deficit (21 Trillion Dollars), jeopardized farmers with the imposed tariffs, and now–to prove they care nothing about the “poor and the needy,” they are planning to gut Social Security benefits for the elderly, including Medicare and Medicaid for the poor. Veterans don’t matter to them at all as we can see in the fact that there is no one overseeing Veteran’s Affairs with any specific skills to do so.

Even in their political campaigns–though they claim to be “fiscally conservative” they spend more money on negative attack ads than they do commending the candidates. They lie and stoke fear about all sorts of imagined evil (claiming Democrats are evil and planning all sorts of evil deeds–when in fact–it’s them; they’re projecting). They even claim Democrats have no message or platform other than “hating trump.”

Well, I’ve got news for everyone who thinks this lie is true. Democrats have a message and the message is–We care about all the people! We respect the rights of every person to live their own best lives no matter who they love, what faith they practice, the color of their skin or gender. We want common sense gun reforms to protect the innocent and we care about women’s health choices.

It’s time for Americans to make a decision and the decision made with this election will determine whether American Democracy survives or crashes. There is already widespread efforts of voter-fraud with the voting machines used (changing Democrat votes to Republican), voter suppression with contrived justification to keep people from voting due purged voter rolls and alleged “non-matching signatures for absentee ballots” to refusing to allow a bus load of Black Senior Citizens to go vote as a collective group and closing voting locations in key areas in effort to dissuade the vulnerable from voting. This is what is occurring in every state that is currently controlled by Republican leadership. That’s what they do.

Democrats on the other hand, do everything we can to encourage voting by all. Yes, we make recommendations about the issues and candidates, but we ultimately respect the choice of people, believing they’re intelligent enough to make decisions without being led by lies and deception.

I’m very proud of the political ads I’ve seen in which Democratic candidates are merely expounding upon their own abilities to get the job done. Only some of the PACs are airing negative ads, but not nearly in the number that Republicans are airing them. So there are a few things I want every voter to consider:

• Download your sample ballot from your voting district and know who you want to vote for before you get to the polls. In Michigan go to michigan.gov/sos
• If possible, vote early to avoid the frustration of waiting in lines–in most states, absentee ballots are available prior to any day of election. Get one and take your time to complete.
• Make sure you’re familiar with the ballot proposals or initiatives and the judges who are listed in the nonpartisan section.
• Never allow fear to be a deterrent in making your choices.

If Americans don’t make the right decisions about voting in this election cycle–it could very well be our last opportunity to vote since Republicans are more concerned with “controlling the masses” and are planning to rewrite the Constitution to make sure they maintain control. Be wise, research and know whether your representatives care about you or care about controlling you.

 

For Just A Minute!

Though many in the world celebrate “Easter,” those of us who have a relationship with Christ (not a church organization) understand the real meaning of the celebration–The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. They (the haters who don’t understand) are alive and well today, as well and we must remember–so we don’t become like them.

He Loved!

They lied on Him.

They beat Him.

They spit on Him.

They crowned Him with thorns.

They nailed Him to a cross.

They mocked Him.

They crucified Him.

They pierced His side with a sword.

He died.

They buried Him.

He Rose.

He Loves!

He Lives!

He is alive and well in the hearts of all who have accepted the sacrifice of His love, all who choose to live the way He wants us to live, and all who know how to love–all others–unconditionally and who defend the rights of the poor and the needy!

He Has Risen!

2017 in Review and Hope for 2018!

From the beginning to the end, my focus has been a bit limited–boxed in reflections about a lost Democratic election, realizing a pathological lying clown was now in the White House, the world stares in amazement wondering what happened to America and the Americans who live here, we become the laughingstock on the global stage and the children of the lying one–apparently don’t care he has dementia or some other cognitive impairment because they’re too busy cheating governments and banks. What a year! Oh and we can’t forget at the end–through all the other chaos and obstruction of justice and conspiracy to commit treason, the lying one signed into legislation a tax bill that takes from the poor and gives to the rich and oh how the mighty–faux Christians in the GOP rejoiced! Yeah, it’s been a year to remember all right. But to make sense of it all, I have to put everything into its proper perspective.

• I’ve spent more time on social media than I ever thought possible–venting and tweeting and interacting with others who are likeminded. That has been a blast!
• I participated in the first march of the year after watching the Women’s March on January 21st–it impacted the world as women from every walk of life protested the Putin installed plant in the White House.
• For the first time in my life, I made a decision to get involved in politics–running for President of the United States in 2020. Big decision, big discussions with husband and children and eventually friends. Some supportive and some not. I understand their reluctance and respect, but it won’t stop me. Never occurred to me to “ask permission” of anyone to run for President though some act like that’s what I should have been doing.
• I spent some hard-earned cash supporting various candidates and in support of the ACLU because I realized that with the lying one in office, we’re going to need all the help we can get to overturn the negligible policies that are bound to come forth and we saw that with the immediate attempt of a travel ban against Muslims.  The lying one is too stupid to realize being Muslim is not an ethnicity, but a religion.
• We all learned about “alternative facts” spewed by the surrogate of the lying one which made most of us realize that “lying must be contagious.”
• Sean Spicer lied about the size of the inaugural crowd and then about everything else.
• Kellyanne Conway just lies in her attempts to spin things.
• The lying one didn’t realize that Frederick Douglass had been dead for over 150 years and gave him praise in front of cameras (an event which ignited someone on Twitter to find a picture of Frederick Douglass and bring him back to life).
• The lying one wants to be a dictator and tell everyone what to do and expect them to do. He found a few who wouldn’t play by his rules–instead they acted with integrity and honor. Thanks for showing us the way–Preet, Sally, and Jim!
• So many others have been kicked out the door of the White House with the one who thought she had “an in” with the lying one–she’s gone and already touting a “tell-all book deal.”
• War–is a definite possibility since the lying one doesn’t realize most people can’t be bullied. The question is–who will engage the madness–North Korea, Iran, China, or Russia. Yeah, it’s been interesting and hopefully, not tragic.
• I’ve learned a lot–along with the rest of the country that the appropriate term we should use involving the lying one’s interaction with Russian meddling has to termed “conspiracy” rather than collusion. At any rate, it won’t matter much longer because the entire world will know–the lying one is guilty of conspiring against America, violating his oaths of office and is a total disgrace to humanity.
• But all is not lost–I’m gathering steam in gaining supporting for my potential candidacy. Literature is ready to go and the plan is to have press releases drafted and ready to send on November 7, 2018. Must help to flip the House and the Senate. With effort and cooperation, we can accomplish great things–winning seats and flipping them blue in deep red states.
• All of the adversity and hatred and angst coming from the White House has made me more determined than ever to not just run for the office, but to win it. We all deserve better than what we have in the Oval Office right now.
• Though I usually plan to write at least one new book a year, this year, all my time and writing has been posted online either here, Medium, Facebook, or Twitter. I guess if I compiled them all, it’d make one heck of an interesting book.
• At any rate, on a personal level, I’ve learned that having a teenage driver in the house can be pretty darn stressful and expensive. I was pretty proud of my grandson getting his license, but maybe my pride was a bit misplaced.
• Anxiety and stress can become serious issues in the minds of teenagers and I had an awakening with the onset of depression, triggering thoughts of suicide–it’s been difficult, but I’m determined to see him through this. I guess the thought of graduating at 16, with college applications and all the expectations of others can leave a person a bit depleted.

I’ve always felt that every experience in my life has made a stronger, better, wiser person and this last year’s experiences are no different. I am stronger–emotionally and spiritually than I was a year ago, I am better because I realized I had been holding onto ideologies that exclude people from my life, rather than draw them in and I let them go. I am wiser because I know that every single day I live, is an opportunity for me to learn something new; that perfection is something I can strive for but probably won’t reach since human beings can only be perfect in a comatose state or dead. That’s wisdom for you.

I’m looking forward to the new year because I’m on a mission and when I’m ready to fight, nothing gets in my way. Yeah, I know Republicans love to malign and belittle, trying every way they can to humiliate those who don’t agree with them and I’m okay with that. I know how to fight and I don’t fight fair. So if they want to start with their “opposition research” on me, let them have at it. I’m ready for whatever they attempt to “make up” in an effort to discredit me because there is nothing in my background that I’m ashamed of. I look forward to the microscopic scrutiny of whoever. And I also look forward to debating the issues that impact the lives of all Everyday Americans with whoever is up for the challenge.

Though some may think I’m a light-weight when it comes to doing politics–I’m sure I can change their minds rather quickly when they see that I can be a heavy-hitter. After all, my hope is Jesus–not a human being, but having their support when He speaks to their hearts will go a long way!

At any rate–here’s to all that comes to light, makes life better for all and for the #BlueWaveTsunami that will lead to my filing my FEC application. I can hardly wait!

With Renewed Hope and Patience!

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:9-14 NIV

Taking Paul’s words to the church at Colosse literally makes a difference in how we need to approach this time in which we live. We must believe that prayers have and will continue to go forth on our behalf as the world watches the chaos in the WH that embroils our lives on a daily basis. Our hope must continually be in God and in the wisdom He will pour out on all who are willing to receive and accept it. For that reason, many of us are praying that Bob Mueller is willing to receive God’s wisdom and act upon accordingly. America deserves much better than what we are experiencing as a nation with a fake leader in the Oval Office.

Though some may have thought with my posts lately that I’ve given up on our God, nothing could be further from the truth. My hope–is continually in He who inspires and encourages my daily walk. I look to Him to keep my tongue from going to far and my fingers from tapping out words that can be erased or retrieved before impacting those who see them. It’s been an extremely difficult week for me to relinquish my thoughts and fingers to Holy Spirit. It is only because of Him that I have not unleashed a tirade so great that would make the devil blush. It is because of Him who I strive to please that I have not been totally “unpolitically correct.”

Does my awareness of how words can negatively impact perception and perspective as to who I am matter? Of course it does! Words matter–whether coming from me or anyone else and unfortunately, that concept hasn’t been able to breach the brains of the moron-in-chief. I’m not the only one who questions the WH idiot’s ability to do anything other than bully and bluster his way around people.

He demonstrated his total ineptness at being empathic and a consoler-in-chief, but highlighted his insensitivity to others on a much greater scale than I thought possible. And to top off the week of foolishness and stupidity, he alludes to starting a war with North Korea after throwing Rex Tillerson under the bus. Reading a number of articles released by those in the media who are close to those in the White House, it was not surprising to hear that more than one of cabinet members have called him a moron because he has no knowledge of what he’s supposed to be doing and resents anyone trying to guide him. For if–for any reason–he chose to be grateful to those who are at least trying to guide him, he’d have to admit he doesn’t have a great brain, he doesn’t have the best words, and he certainly doesn’t have an IQ of 203 which he apparently tried to convince staffers that he has. If his IQ was 23, that would be a surprise.

But I digress. It is through reading The Word and being reminded of God’s great love for us that renews my hope on a daily basis, and when I think I’ve reached the end of my rope, The Word helps me to make the knot bigger so I will have the patience I need to keep holding on–for the rescue I believe is coming in the revelation of truth provided by Special Counsel Bob Mueller. For every time the moron opens his mouth, a knot forms in my stomach, but I’m moving the knot from my stomach to the rope of hope from which we’re all dangling since we never know what might come next. Pretty soon, the knot will be wide enough to hold a multitude of people and our hope–strengthens the rope–with each new knot. In our patience–holding onto the rope, resting on the knot–we possess our souls and we will not surrender our souls to the evil that abounds from the White House and the GOP or any other demonic influence.

While I wait for the hope of truth setting us all free to be Americans again–I’m still planning a bid for the White House and I pray, that those who review the information on my Face Book page, will find the evidence needed to prove, I am ready and willing to serve all Everyday Americans.

Be Still and Know!

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;  he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46 NIV

I know there are many people out there right now who disdain the use of “God” or “Jesus” and they feel justified in doing so, but I’m reminding those who believe in His plan for their lives to remember His promises and be still and know, He has not forgotten you.

In the midst of crisis, it’s difficult for any of us to stay focused on God’s promises when we feel our lives are at risk. Believing God does not mean we do stupid things or act unwisely in the midst of a crisis, but we seek His wisdom and hold fast to our faith that He will make a way.

Hurricanes are an act of nature and God saves in the midst of hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and all manner of situations in which we have no control. But if we act wisely, trusting our dependence on Him, He will see us through what nature tends to throw our way.

Yes, bad things happen to good people and only God knows why He allows certain things to happen to some people and not others. I’m not God, so I’m not going to pretend I have all the answers, but I trust Him. “In all our getting, get wisdom.” “Wisdom is the principal thing.” Solomon repeatedly refers to the wisdom being the utmost importance. When we things through and act wisely, we could avoid certain devastations. And though we get upset over the loss of things, we must remember things can be replaced–lives won’t be. So the wisdom we must exercise is about saving lives, not things.

Even though Harvey was predicted in enough time for people to make provisions to move out of the way of danger, most people could not have imagined the rain that would proceed in the aftermath. This is not an act of God–it is an act of nature and if anyone wants to attribute the storm to being an act of God, and attempt to claim it is retribution for the people who live there–they make a mockery of who God is.

For the religious-right who have said John McCain’s cancer is God’s retribution because of a vote–shame on them. They obviously have no knowledge of God and how He functions in the earth. But the rub here is–some of those same folks would “never” say the storm is retribution for the wrongs they have done against the poor and the needy. God doesn’t get into our politics because what we do–who we vote for and put into positions of authority are on us–and when we don’t act wisely, we don’t get wise leadership in those positions of authority.

In the coming days, it will be extremely difficult for some to hold onto their faith and know that in the end, everything will be all right. I’m confident that acting wisely, seeing to the needs of others and taking care of self will result in lives being saved. I encourage everyone who can to make donations to American Red Cross so they will have adequate resources to meet the needs of the people. Donations can be made online (with a minimum of $10). I made my contribution and would love to see as many people as possible do the same–especially those who recently won lotteries. Now is a good time to help others in need.

My heart and thoughts are embedded in the crisis in Texas and I will continue praying for their safety and for the rains to abate. God knows what it is He wants to accomplish in the hearts of men and women everywhere and I’m sure it will be as He has determined.  Stay safe!

 

God Has Plans For Evil!

Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you are a disgrace in the eyes of God? You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor. You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue! Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent; he will uproot you form the land of the living. The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at you, saying, Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others! (v.1-7)

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good. Psalm 52 NIV

I could stop right here and say nothing more. Those who have discerning spirits can see how The Word (v 1-7) apply to our current resident in the Oval Office.

Think back to all the campaign rhetoric spewed (most of which GOPers say we shouldn’t give much credence). Think about all the evil trump encouraged and spouted about every one of his opponents. Think about all the hateful merchandise sold at his hate-filled rallies and all the hateful chants ignited by him and other spokespersons like Michael Flynn and Jeff Sessions as well as others. Think about it and reflect upon it and then connect the dots to what we see–the reality of the rhetoric–alive and well in the White House.

We know Russia hijacked the election for trump and trump and key Republicans collaborated in the effort–which is why none of the House or Senate GOP have much to say about the disgraceful mess unfolding from the White House. They knew and they wanted power so badly they went along with it. The bad part is–they were instrumental in convincing the Evangelical leaders to go along with their madness. And if any of the “Religious Right” are still supporting this administration, they prove they hate America and all we stand for.

No knowledge of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, or Declaration of Independence has been demonstrated by trump. He has no knowledge of history and certainly not of geography (aptly demonstrated in both trips abroad).

His voice patterns indicate his ineptness at understanding the importance of “reading material” before trying to give it as a speech before the public. He is slow–hesitant–and indicates a lack of understanding how to pronounce certain words. In the presence of truly powerful men–his tone is submissive, not firm and assertive; but at his rallies, he practically screams because he knows those who attend are the undereducated and ill-informed and won’t challenge his knowledge about anything. They just accept.

But the last two verses in this Psalm should serve as encouragement for the righteous–those who try to live right before God without committing the atrocities we see committed by trump. We will flourish in the presence of God and all those who committed evil and plotted the destruction of American democracy. We shall be victorious in coming elections and we shall be wise in our selection of people who should lead us for coming generations, so we’ll never see the likes of this type of evil again, in America.

How Misplaced Hope Blinds

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. How long will you assault me? Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock , my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath. Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them. We all have hoped for things that were just out of our reach or have blindly placed our hope in people, only to be disappointed, time and time again.

We are reminded in The Word, that our hope cannot reside in things or people, “some may trust in horses and chariots, but we shall trust in the name of our God.” Only when we trust in God, totally and completely can our hope attain its goal.

Therefore, once we understand that hoping in people is futile, we can see beyond the blinders and face reality. There is no hope for this country if we depend upon its current leadership to retain its position on the global stage. That knowledge was reinforced on 7/7/17 when we witnessed (some of us) a meeting between trump and Putin (the initial meeting and handshake), and then later learning that trump caved–being “honored to meet” the person who attacked our free and fair election process. Putin played trump like a finely tuned guitar–stroke, by stroke–arousing his ego to the point of blindness.

Anticipating trump’s reaction to this alleged, “first meeting,” I posted a thread on Twitter and pinned it so all who care to dispute what I said won’t have a problem finding what I said.

Body language says it all. With the initial greeting–the handshake and pat on the back (reassuring Putin that he–trump was being obedient) was telling for all who were observant. While trump sat anxiously awaiting their “time alone” Putin was relaxed and acknowledged–intentionally or unintentionally–their “finally personally meeting.” Now, some could say I was deliberately attempting to make something out of nothing, but from everything I’ve discovered about Putin–he understands the import and impact of words–they matter. He wanted the world to know and especially Russia to know–he and trump had been communicating for some time. In fact, I’ve concluded the entire meeting was choreographed by Putin so he could make sure that his wishes were being followed. We are in the throes of being absorbed by Russia and its autocracy since trump doesn’t have the balls or backbone to stand up to a tyrant. And it would appear that the GOP Congress is also missing balls and backbone to address the situation and to remove the traitor from the Oval Office.

Anyone hoping trump will become “presidential” is blinded by their refusal to see the reality playing out in front of them. He may hold the title, but he is not the president of the United States when he undermines and bashes American intelligence officers and our Free Press–disavowing any acknowledgment of our Constitution. 

My hope–is in Jesus Christ–and Him alone and I trust Him to guide me in all things. I know Everyday Americans are smarter than those who were gullible enough to vote for trump in the first place, and they’ll research and discover the plausibility of supporting me, as the next president. I’m not asking people to have hope in me, but to have faith in their own judgment and relationship with Christ as they ponder supporting me.

 

Continue In Faith!

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through our blemish and free from accusation–if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in this gospel. Colossians 1:17-23 NIV

No matter what idiocy we see from the White House, no matter how much we hate to see the fate of the nation in the hands of an unstable, inept administration, we must continue in the faith–refusing to budge from the hope–that we will be victorious in the end because it is God’s desire that we succeed in all things that are like Him.

The rub–for many and felt by many–is the consistently false notion that only Republicans are true Christians. We see–the world sees–this is not true since their only concern is appeasing the rich and their corporate donors; they have no concern for the poor and the vulnerable. Therefore, their behavior is not Christ-like and they can have no claim to being followings of Jesus Christ. We are told in The Word, we shall know who belongs to Christ by our love for one another.

Love does not seek to hurt, harm or abandon–leaving people totally disenfranchised within a society that is supposed to have governance for all people–not just some.

Love–unconditional love–lifts and encourages, provides the means to ease suffering, making sure the poor eat and have shelter. There is no love demonstrated by the GOP in Washington that will remotely help the poor. However, there are Republican governors who are speaking up to protect their constituents from the ravages of not having appropriate healthcare. We have yet to see how the most recent atrocity of a healthcare bill will proceed.

For those of us watching in the wings, we must continue in the faith we have that no matter what they do–we still have a job to do. We must continue, openly opposing actions that will devastate millions; we must continue to support those who will speak up for the poor and the needy and where we can, we must get actively involved in the process by running for something–a political office where our voices can be heard and we can make a difference.

It is because of my concern about the present administration and their lack of ability to understand how government works in a democracy that I’m driven–by love for all–to run for President in 2020. This is why I shall reference this often in all my subsequent blogs as I lay the foundation, seeking support to make this run a reality and not just a possibility. When Evil Frustrates!

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Where are the true Patriots in the Republican party in Washington, DC?

Is there one–just one Republican–who speaks truth any more?

Is there one–just one Republican–who cares about the poor and needy?

Is there one–just one Republican–who is more loyal to country than “pledged loyalty to a man” who has no values other than greed and power?

Is there one–just one Republican–who cares more about their constituents than their party agenda?

Is there one–just one Republican–who is bold enough to stand up and speak out against the atrocious policies being implemented that discriminate against the poor and promote hatred?

Is there one–just one Republican–who is courageous enough to convince the party to put an end to this charade of a presidency that has the world laughing at America?

If there is one–then where are they and what’s taking them so long to stand up and uphold the oath of office they took or does that oath no longer mean anything?

Have they–succumbed to greed and need for power over doing what is best for the entire country?

Where is the  moral outrage of the so-called christians who voted for all the “negligent, obstructionists” who put evil in the seats of government?

It would appear to me, that everything we say–as Christians and Americans–we value has gone out the window with our current leadership and no one seems to care about the people or what they need. No longer do we see integrity and honor ruling in the hearts of those in position of leadership. No longer do we see patriotism honored by elected leaders who have apparently forgotten–the voters who elected them. No longer do we see those who have publicly taken oaths of office–uphold them.

But we–who truly know God and live according to His precepts and are loyal to Him–understand how God will frustrate the plans of those who frustrate the plans of the poor.

For this reason–there is fear and anxiety–overcoming reason and logic by those who plot evil or won’t stand against it.

For this reason–instability and anger–rests upon those who do not know God and will not obey Him.

For this reason–many Republicans–are afraid to face their constituents and hide from them.

For this reason–the American people–will seek those who care about them and change the political landscape from the red of anger and frustration and greed to the blue of hope and integrity and honor.

The frustration felt by those who have been ignored will result in a tsunami of blue waves that wash across this country in upcoming elections–no matter how much money–the Republicans spend–unless they have chosen to “rig more elections” like 2016.

God knows and He’s watching and His purposes and plans will not be frustrated by evil, for He has overcome evil and evil will be overthrown and cast into the pit of darkness, never to be seen or heard from again. Watch for it!
