When Lies Are The Norm!

A false witness will not go unpunished, and whoever points out lies will not go free. Proverbs 19:5 NIV

For those of us who believe and live The Word, we know, “we shall know the truth and the truth will set us free,” which is a stark contrast to what Solomon reminds us about with those who lie-they will not go free.

Yesterday, there was an outpouring of lies on cable news–primarily CNN and MSNBC by GOP spokespersons and WH surrogates and when their lies were called out–they immediately took offense and blamed the host to whom they were talking. Other pushback came from Gov. Mike Huckabee who tweeted, “my daughter doesn’t lie.”

He was immediately attacked by tweeters who obviously pay more attention to what Sarah Huckabee Sanders does during the “press briefings” on a regular basis than her father. All of them–who come into the briefing room to “share information with the press” lie and what they do–is simply parroting–their boss’s words, not their own thoughts.  When Sarah proclaimed, “the president doesn’t lie and has never promoted violence” is a stark demonstration as to the lengths they will go to, trying to distract their base from the truth–the person in the WH is a totally inept buffoon who acts more like a toddler than a president.

He lied about President Obama not being a citizen–for years!

He lied about President Obama wiretapping him.

He lied about Hillary–everything he said has since been determined to be projection about himself.

He had Sean Spicer lie about the size of the inauguration crowd.  He’s had Steve Miller–with a straight face– about everything he said. Kellyanne Conway lies so much she redefined the lies as alternative facts.

They have all lied about the Russian connections and how they really won the 2016 election–rigged and they knew it.

The entire White House Administration lies and lies about the lies. I can’t even imagine how difficult it would be to try remembering all the lies and they don’t, which is why they end up lying about the lies.

The biggest liars are those on Capitol Hill who will not uphold their oaths of office and stop the craziness. Their oaths of office apparently mean nothing and The Word reminds us that it is better not to vow something than to make a vow and break it. All of the GOP Congress have broken their vows to protect America and our interests by being a check against the abuse of power from the White House. Why? They are fearful of being exposed if they attempt to pull the plug on the buffoonery we see. They are complicit in the Russian hacking and made a deal with the devil to obtain “power” in the government. Their actions prove they are not patriots because they care more about pacifying the president that protecting our country.

But all is not lost–there are too many of us who know the truth and we will not allow the liars and their lies to destroy our democracy. We will rise up and take charge by any means necessary and the media–will provide us the coverage we need to wake up those who believe the lies.

Quiet Wisdom!

“The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.” (Ecclesiastes 9:17 NIV)

How loud do we speak to be heard?

How much do we hear when it’s quiet?

How loud is the noise of war?

How quiet is the sound of peace?

How powerful is the sound of loud?

How effective is the sound of silence?

Who pays more attention to the loud?

Who actually hears the voice of the quiet?

The media is loud and persistent,

Noisily proclaiming all that is wrong,

Repetitively insisting that we hear,

The power of hate and sin alike,

Venomously, noise spews from their mikes,

Garnering attention of young and old,

Allowing promotion of all that’s bold,

Causing many to creep backwards into a past,

Proven wrong and certainly won’t last.

Colors blast and blind those willing to look,

Changing meanings of The Word as if it’s just a book,

Loudly proclaiming right is wrong and wrong is right,

Doing what pleases flesh, forgetting they’re in God’s sight,

And when He whispers wisdom into an ear,

Not many, in quietness are willing to hear,

For the noise of the foolish has effectively blocked,

And the enemy’s influenced, heard and locked,

Into the minds of those who are weak, not strong,

Following those who are just loud and wrong.

But that is not the end of the story,

There are still some who work to God’s glory,

And when He speaks in the quiet of the night,

They will do all they can to do what is right.

Wisdom–the quiet, soothing, comfort we need,

When we listen to it, we won’t hear the enemy’s pleas,

To turn left when we should turn right,

Living in the light of day, not the dark of night,

Doing all things to please Him who gives,

Power, direction, through the One who lives,

Within and will only tell us what He hears from above,

Wrapped in His wisdom, embracing us with love.

God’s wisdom is heard in the silent moments,

We use to study His Word and open our hearts to hear,

All He has to say, directing our steps every day,

Never loud and obnoxious as fools tend to be,

He knows who we are, when we listen and is waiting for us to see,

Him in all His majesty, and glory, ready and willing to obey.

Shutting out the loud, the noisy, the hate and sin,

Hearing only wisdom, seeking a victorious win

Daily, poised, positioned, never giving up the fight,

Listening for the wisdom we know, directing us right,

To The throne, for all eternity, watching Wisdom,

Quietly reigning, for the world to see those who are His,

Receive their rewards for faithfulness, diligence and loyalty.

Speak to our hearts, Lord that we might hear a word of wisdom today in the quiet of the moment, while we’re not distracted by the noises of the world, vying for our attention, keeping us distracted in the midst of the storm, hoping we won’t hear You, and share You with others. Speak Lord, Your servants will hear and not follow another.

Pointing Fingers At The Wrong People Solves Nothing!

It is written: “ ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’ So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. (Romans 14:11,12 NIV)

The time is coming and very quickly when we will see God’s Word–front and center–alive and blazing brightly so everyone will see and know–He lives! And whether a person has lived their life in belief or unbelief, they shall bow before The King of Kings and acknowledge Him as such.

For those of us who know this–our lives should proclaim this truth–on a daily basis so all who know us will have opportunity to see God’s Word in action. And when He returns, none will have an excuse for not believing Him.

As it is now–we know by listening to the media reports–many do not believe Him and certainly have not given Him Lordship over their lives. It is sickening to see how people have so little value for not only their lives, but for the lives of others. In one week, how many times do we have to hear about gun violence and people being killed? How many times must we see car thieves kill innocent people when they attempt to “run away” from the police?

In particular, two children–on a sidewalk–were killed yesterday when the driver of a stolen car, running from the police plowed into them. That wasn’t enough–they kept going and injured three more children and an adult before crashing. The driver attempted to run, but was caught.

Here’s the problem for me–today: Interviews with parents, witnesses, and others appear to blame the police for trying to stop a thief. I know there has been uproar about police chases, but at what point are we going to stop blaming the police for trying to stop a crime and put the blame where it belongs–on the criminal?

If the person driving the car had not stolen it, there would have been no need for police involvement. Had they had any respect for life–they would not have plowed into innocent children. THE POLICE DID NOT KILL THOSE CHILDREN! THE IDIOTIC DRIVER KILLED THOSE CHILDREN AND THE BLAME–WITH ALL FINGERS POINTED IN HIS DIRECTION–IS HIS!

This is not necessarily a popular position to take–especially in life of all the police abuse of others as we have recently seen, but let’s get real. Honestly, every time a person commits an act that requires police involvement–they are to blame, not the police. Let’s stop pointing the fingers at the police and change the culture in which we live where young people (and older people, too) think they have a right to help themselves to the property of others, trespass on the property of others, and do whatever they want–without regard for the rights of others.

If all we do is point fingers at those we think are the problem, we’re not solving any problems. Parents must be better parents in teaching their children right from wrong and holding them accountable for what they do. We need laws that are enforceable and court systems that are more interested in justice being served than serving their political agendas.

What we need is for people to believe God now and live like they believe Him! Then and only then, will we see an end to senseless violence and the loss of innocent lives.  We shall all give an account to God for what we have or have not done, so let’s get this living on earth, right!

When The Mountains Crumble!

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” (Psalm 46: 1, 2, 10 NLT)

It appears that all is falling apart, all around us, no matter where we look.

Chaos in The Middle East.

Chaos in Canada.

Chaos in Europe.

Chaos in Asian Countries.

Chaos in Africa.

Chaos in South America.

Chaos in North America.

Everywhere we look–according to media reports–there is chaos and unrest! People are rebelling against governmental authority across the world. Social media provides the means for many to instigate hatred and bigotry against and towards anyone who dares to offer a differing opinion about the state of the world and current events.

For those of us who know and understand God’s Word–we know what time it is, yet we have no need to join in the uproar or fear, we simply need to be still and know–all of this has been predicted and is coming to pass–just as God showed it to us.

Yesterday, I wrote about the devil notching his belt every time someone falls under his influence and at this point, he must have started notches on more than one belt or–the belt he notches–is equal to the circumference of the entire world–and is being notched moment by moment.

Kids killing classmates, madmen running the streets with axes, angry people trespassing government buildings and shooting the innocent–when will it all stop?

When we are convinced as a people–united by the fact that we all belong to the human race–all created by God and Loved by Him and will be obedient to Him–the chaos and destruction will stop, but not until then. Will we see the change in our lifetime–within the next fifty years? It is doubtful, but we can remain hopeful that we will start by turning again to Him to loves us and will never give up on us.

Obedience to Him–our Only Wise God–provides us the space to not fear what man may do, but just know--if we will just be still and not worry, we will see the mighty works of God change nation after nation until peace is obtained throughout the land.

So, while it seems like everything is falling apart and the end is near, just be still and know that He is God and we have nothing to fear–even if we see the crumbling mountains fall into the sea–we have a home in heaven for all eternity. Our future with God is secure as long as we are obedient to Him in all things!
