For Just A Minute!

For Just A Minute!

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:  ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”Then they remembered his words. Luke 24:6-8 NIV

Though many in the world celebrate “Easter,” those of us who have a relationship with Christ (not a church organization) understand the real meaning of the celebration–The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. They (the haters who don’t understand) are alive and well today, as well and we must remember–so we don’t become like them.

He Loved!

They lied on Him.

They beat Him.

They spit on Him.

They crowned Him with thorns.

They nailed Him to a cross.

They mocked Him.

They crucified Him.

They pierced His side with a sword.

He died.

They buried Him.

He Rose.

He Loves!

He Lives!

He is alive and well in the hearts of all who have accepted the sacrifice of His love, all who choose to live the way He wants us to live, and all who know how to love–all others–unconditionally and who defend the rights of the poor and the needy!

He Has Risen!

Celebrate His Resurrection by

Sharing The Love With Others!

Live like Jesus lived–always helping others in need!

Now, Lord!

Now, Lord!

Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: “Who am I, LORD God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?And as if this were not enough in your sight, my God, you have spoken about the future of the house of your servant. You, LORD God, have looked on me as though I were the most exalted of men. “What more can David say to you for honoring your servant? For you know your servant, LORD. For the sake of your servant and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made known all these great promises. “There is no one like you, LORD, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears. And who is like your people Israel—the one nation on earth whose God went out to redeem a people for himself, and to make a name for yourself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt? You made your people Israel your very own forever, and you, LORD, have become their God. “And now, LORD, let the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house be established forever. Do as you promised, so that it will be established and that your name will be great forever. Then people will say, ‘The LORD Almighty, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!’ And the house of your servant David will be established before you. “You, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. So your servant has found courage to pray to you. You, LORD, are God! You have promised these good things to your servant. Now you have been pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, LORD, have blessed it, and it will be blessed forever.” I Chronicles 17:16-27 NIV

It is time for all those who believe God more than the politicians to put themselves in position to think and do as David did–accepting God’s promise as His Will for our lives, and walking in the favor He provides.

We cannot allow ourselves to be bogged down in the negativity targeted against us, nor can we waddle in self-pity doing nothing to change the landscape around us. When we pray, we must get up and do–to see how God works in our lives.

Now is not the time for a pity party because of the GOP Terrorist Act. Now, is the time to get deeply embroiled in the political arena, seeking and supporting a person who will live as God desires us to live and do all that Jesus commanded of us–Loving God, and Loving our neighbors as ourselves.

We cannot sit and watch those who proclaim to know Jesus and yet, ignore His commandment to love. For love does not ignore or abandon the poor, needy and vulnerable. Love embraces and lifts those from the depths of poverty and provides them avenues to soar like eagles. Love has no personal agenda, but always looks after others. Love has no allegiance to political partisanship, but because of our allegiance and relationship with Jesus Christ–we love all, unconditionally.

Now, is the time to rise up from our prayer positions, fully engaged and replenished by Holy Spirit to march into the battle ahead–armed and ready to defeat the enemy within the White House and on Capitol Hill.

Now, is the time to research and gather and analyze all information we can in order to truthfully respond to all the nonsense that is pouring forth from the incompetence of those who will not read with understanding. Sadly, it has become public knowledge that many of the Republicans who voted in favor of the GOP Terrorist Act (AHCA), never read it and simply went along with the party–some bribed or bullied by the liar-in-chief (who doesn’t have a clue either).

I am asserting myself into The Word and believing that whatever God promised David out of his obedience, I am also in line to receive. Therefore the passage above–applies to me and I will see all that God has shown me and nothing the enemy attempts to do to keep me from receiving all God has for me–will prosper. The enemy’s plans will fizzle against the shield of love it hits at every turn, everywhere I go. I declare it all done, in Jesus’ name, right now, Lord!

In order to expect to receive God’s promises, we must know what they are and they can only be found in His Word! Now, Lord!

The First Death Is Just The Beginning!

“Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Unless Jesus returns before we take our final breath, we will die (or fall asleep) and our end will only be for the earthly measurement of time. The heavenly measurement of time begins when He returns and all the dead in Him (those who died believing Him to be their Savior) shall rise at the sound at the trumpet and they shall be judged first.

It is not the first death that we need to concern ourselves while we live. It is the second death–the assignment of eternal resting place–in heaven reigning with Jesus or in the lake of fire, being tormenting continually for eternity.

While I know there are those who do not believe in heaven or hell, according to God’s Truth they do exist and in the end, we’ll all discover their existence. But while we wait for the end to come, we must know that our final resting place for eternity is determined by what we do while we have breath to live. Notice what John says, about who ends up in the lake of fire.

“The cowardly–those who are always fearful because they do not know that love casts out fear. The fearful do not know love for it they did, they would not fear. The unbelieving–those who refuse to accept God’s existence so they can do whatever their flesh dictates. The vile–those who do every imaginable evil thing they can without concern about how their actions impact others. The murderers–those who have no respect for life and consistently are responsible for the deaths of others. The sexually immoral–those who use sex as a tool for pleasure with anybody and everybody without discrimination or adherence to God’s plan for sex. Those who practice magic--misusing gifts of discernment and abilities given by God for monetary gain or fame. The idolators--those who worship things made by the hands of man or people–holding the things and people in higher esteem than God. The liars–those who twist and malign truth (especially God’s Truth) for their own personal agendas in order to influence others into doing what is pleasing in their own sight–totally ignoring God’s plan for man.” All these–when they have chosen to do these things–will end up in the lake of fire, unless they choose to live as God desires before the first death.

No person–can send another to hell and God won’t either. The eternal resting place in which we end up is determined by what we do when we are alive, having the ability to choose and choose wrongly. Every person–believer and unbeliever–chooses their final destination and they have no one to blame but themselves.

No matter how our end comes the first time–illness, accident, war, acts of violence or old age, our greatest concern should be the second death.

Wisdom and Insight!

“How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!” (Proverbs 16:16 NIV)

We are witnessing the effects of greed in people who are only concerned with amassing riches. What they have forgotten is that none of the riches can be taken with us into eternity, it will all be left for others to fight over or enjoy or rot as time passes.

But wisdom–especially wisdom from on high–creates paths for us not only to get wealth, but distribute it in a manner that will benefit many. With the wisdom that God gives, we can have overflow, abundant wealth that cannot be measured by man’s standards, but will be so much greater than most can imagine. How is that possible?

We know from paying attention to the lives of those who have won money in lotteries. Many spent money without exercising wisdom and even though they had millions, they were soon reduced to poverty. Some became arrogant and boastful and were killed by those who wanted what they had. Now, here’s an amazing insight! People will kill for money and end up in jail, but few ever seek wisdom from anyone and certainly not God.

I’d rather have wisdom and insight for the rest of my life than the gold and silver for a moment. Exercising wisdom in all things will keep our needs met and we’ll have more than enough to share with others. We don’t need to be richer than King Tut–we need the wisdom that God gave Solomon so we will always have what we need.

During times of prayer, meditation, or quietness today--seek wisdom and insight in how to move forward and thank God for all He’s doing and watch Him bring it all to pass. He loves us so much that He died for us and when remember His love, daily, we are able to love others in spite of themselves, because He loves us, in spite of us.

Wisdom Lord, give us wisdom above anything we could ever imagine, shield our minds from anything the enemy would whisper to us, and help us to stay focused on all You would have us to do.
