No More Lies!

No More Lies!

Trump is averaging — AVERAGING — 30 false or misleading claims a day in the last seven weeks. And, per the Fact Checker, he often of late soars far above that average. As one example: On October 22, when he traveled to Houston to hold a rally for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R), Trump, said 83 untrue things in a single day. 83!

A recent interview published in Vanity Fair reveals that trump said, “blacks were too stupid to vote for him.”

At a rally this past week, trump claimed that President Obama was the biggest liar because he said over a period of time, that people would be able to keep their own doctors (he thought was true at the time) 28 times. Yes, it was a promise that President Obama thought would happen with the ACA, but because of glitches in the program he had no control over, it didn’t come true. However, the lies told by trump number over 6 thousand, averaging 30 lies per day–since he was sworn into office.

He’s lying to his base about the danger of the “caravans” attempting to come into the United States illegally. He’s lying about the need for 5K troops, undermining the military use of soldiers to invoke fear.

He’s lying about Democrats wanting to “take your healthcare” when it has been Democrats fighting for access to healthcare for everyone. Republicans have 9 cases in court–to deny health coverage to people with pre-existing conditions through the ACA program. They know if they can deny people the right to health coverage for pre-existing conditions, it will effectively make the ACA ineffective and they can stop providing all coverage.

Some of the pre-existing conditions Republicans in congress don’t want covered are: cancer treatments, diabetes, asthma, pregnancies, mental illness/treatment, and opioid treatments. Now, days and hours before the Mid Term elections, they’re “lying” about covering pre-existing conditions only because it is Democrats fighting for the protections and they are discussing in their campaigns.

It’s time for people to wake up and some have. I’ve noticed a number of people on Twitter declaring they were Republicans, but are voting for every Democrat on their ballots with the hashtag #GOPVotingBlue! They are tired of the lies, the hatred, the bigotry, the fearmongering and lack of empathy and compassion they’ve seen from the White House. I don’t know if anyone could have imagined a resident of the Oval House complain that coverage of a “mass murder” at a Jewish synagogue interfered with the momentum of his hate rallies. Really? That was his concern. The media wasn’t covering his rallies, but were instead covering the loss of lives by a madman, stoked by fear listening to trump. And let’s not forget, the idiot trump supporter who mailed pipe bombs to those who have vocally criticized him–members of Congress, past presidents, celebrities and the media. He didn’t even take time to condemn the act.

So, if you’re as tired of the lies as I am, it’s time to do something about it. Democrats are not for open borders–we want sustainable immigration reform. Democrats are not trying to take anyone’s guns–we want common sense gun reform so that people won’t be able to walk into a worship service and gun down people with an assault rifle. Democrats want reduced taxes for the middle class and working families and want the wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes. Democrats want all workers to have a living wage and not have to work two and three jobs to survive. Democrats want consumer protections to make sure all can breathe the air, drink the water and eat food produced from soil that has not been contaminated by poisonous chemicals. Democrats want every person who desires a higher education to be able to afford getting one, without mounds of debt. Democrats want Senior Citizens to enjoy their final years without worrying about how they’re to eat, keep a roof over their heads or to pay for their healthcare. Democrats want every veteran who has served our country to have the benefits they need.

If you haven’t already voted, make sure you exercise your right to do so or this may be the last time.  Fascism–taking away the rights as guaranteed every American in our Constitution–is encroaching with trump since the GOP Congress won’t do their job. America has no need for a dictator and we won’t stand for having one.

The desperation people in hear in trump’s voice, invoking fear and hatred is real. That’s the only thing he’s not lying about, because he knows–a Democratic Congress will hold him accountable for everything he does and he will no longer have a free pass to rape the US Treasury or pass legislation that is vindictive and spiteful. But because he is so fearful and insecure, he will stoke anger and hatred among those who refuse to think for themselves and he hopes enough anger with arise for him to employ martial law–bringing in the military to keep order, while really establishing himself as the lone wolf–instructed by Putin–to destroy our democracy.

Oh, and the lies people hear in churches–are designed to keep those listening under control. It’s really a shame that many good people are sitting in churches everywhere, listening to the lies being told by church leadership–just to control them. They will never tell people the truth–God gives us choices and respects our choices. Religious folks simply want to control others and their bodies (except for the men). I will say this one more time–just in case people didn’t “hear” it before–

God did not choose trump to lead this country; fearful, hateful, bigoted people chose trump!

If people haven’t figured this out by now, God help them. But if they have, do like those who are now voting for Democrats–Vote Blue–because whether some like it or not, Democratic values are more aligned with Scripture than anything the Religious Right are demonstrating. Don’t take my word for it–read the bible for yourself (Matthew 25:31-45).  Of course, understanding the Bible would mean a person has a relationship with Christ and He is dwelling in their hearts, so full of love there is no room for hate or fear.

Did not Jesus tell us in John 8:32 that if we held to His teaching (not men’s), “We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free?”

We’re also told in the bible that Satan is the father of lies, a master of deception, and his only job is to kill, steal, and destroy. We see all the character traits of Satan in trump in all he says and does. His constant lies indicate who his father is, his invention of problems where there are none–deceptive to get media attention; he’s killing people by withholding subsidies for healthcare, stealing from tax payers on a daily basis, and trying his best to destroy our democracy. Pay attention, America!

I’ve already voted and I voted Blue–for the people–all the people! What are you going to do?

What A World!

What A World!

Do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company; for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble. By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. The wise prevail through great power, and those who have knowledge muster their strength. Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers. Wisdom is too high for fools; in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths. Proverbs 24:1-7 NIV

When we look at the world today–with the advent of every news report, from just about any news outlet except Fox, we hear the “noise” rattling around in the emptiness of something more substantial to quench our thirst for awareness. The blustering, bullying spewing from the mouth of the twitler, if not stopped, could create catastrophic disaster and will lead to lives being lost–and not just Asian lives, but American lives–in the vicinity of the other idiot.

Every time I see stupidity in action and the Republicans supporting the stupid, I am reminded that though they claim to be Christians, they have no relationship with Christ and are certainly not familiar with God’s Word. Though they claim to preach the Gospel and teach Sunday School lessons, I’m convinced the gospel they preach is not of Christ and the Sunday School lessons have nothing to do with Christianity and how we are to live for Christ–doing things the way He would do them. In fact, the more Republican lawmakers make claims or reference scriptures, the more people are turned off from them since no one sees them “living The Word,” they just reference it–in an attempt to convince some of their great religiosity. And that’s all it is–a superficial attempt to convince by being religious, and having no clue what it means to be in Relationship with Christ.

For this reason–we may see America involved in a military engagement that will have no victors, just devastation. In a nuclear war, there are no winners and everyone loses. We lose the potential to advance peace, we lose ability to employ diplomatic policies, and we lose the respect of all those world leaders who are standing by–waiting to see how the fallout will affect them. We lose!

Many are tired of the bully posturing and though there are others who think the rhetoric is a signal of strength, we all know twitler is a school yard bully thinking everyone should cave to him. He’s bullying lawmakers, and his cabinet and others, but he will not say a mumbling word against Putin because he fears Putin. Bullies are insecure people who know they have no real strength and they’re always looking to make themselves to be more than they are. Bullies are not God’s idea; they are the result of people not being loved and disciplined as a child, never being held accountable for their actions and growing up thinking they can make others do what they want them to do.

What twitler needs to understand now is that he is not a monarch or a dictator and he can’t make anyone do anything. Republicans need to come clean with America and admit they gave into the temptation to having power and all the money they received from Russian donors was not worth the mess we see right now. They are complicit in keeping silent about a situation they had to know–in order for twitler to win the rigged election. What individuals need to do right now is to defy their pastors who tout twitler as God’s choice, stand up and speak out–analyzing truth against the fictional propaganda promoted by trumptrain and Russian comrades. America needs every true Patriot to stand up and speak out, now while we have an opportunity to do so, before it’s too late to change the course of bully policy.

If we survive to see 2020, America will have a better opportunity to see this country led by and for the people with me as the voice of  Everyday Americans. I will lead by example, always speaking truth and bringing other Everyday Americans to the table in making decisions that affect all. We know what we need and we don’t need those who have never experienced the challenges we face to make decisions for us.

Join us in 2020 to elect the right person for the task of regaining respect and status on the world stage, making this an event like none ever seen–where America is governed by the “common-folk” who know what needs to change and are wise enough to choose those who can make it happen.

Why Should Truth Matter?

Why Should Truth Matter?

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father. “Abraham is our father,” they answered. If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the works of your own father.” “We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.” Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:32-44 NIV

When will we know truth? When we hold to His teachings–not religions’ teachings, not man’s teachings, but those things taught by Jesus and honoring His commandments–Love God, Love One Another.

If knowing truth sets us free, then lying would…contain, imprison, imperil, impede, hold us in bondage?

For those claiming to be transparent–they have yet to figure out that a person cannot be transparent and hide truth at the same time. For if we attempt to hide truth by lying, we demonstrate that we are children of Satan–the father of liars.

Now, pause and calmly think about that. Whoever lies is a spawn of Satan. Whoever understands and practices truth–is set free–from misery, hiding, stressing, and speculation as to when the next shoe (from this centipede in Washington) will drop.

When we do what our Father God does–which is just to love others–we don’t run the risk of being identified with Satan or any of his minions. People who are transparent…answer questions when asked, have nothing to hide and tell the truth the first so they don’t have to keep “amending” what they say.

I won’t belabor the point. Anyone with a functioning brain can determine when a person is lying and why, when they put all the evidence (already revealed) into its proper place. There is a problem in Washington and America’s democracy is at risk with the connections to Russia. Therefore, those who thought “God chose trump” need to rethink what they thought and realistically see what is right in front of them. There has never been any evidence of the “fruit of the spirit” operating in trump.

It is time for a change–in attitudes from every American–as to who can best represent our interest. Is it a career politician, a celebrity, the rich and famous, old white men or someone who has lived the challenges that Everyday Americans face, daily? It’s time Americans took their Patriotism seriously. Our democracy is being eroded daily by those who will not uphold their oath of office and will not adhere to the Constitutional frameworks, designed to keep our democracy afloat–for generations to come.

The Reality of Religion!

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither is circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.” (Galatians 6:14,15 NIV)

In response to questions raised by the church in Galatia, Paul attempts to convince those who are manipulating others into being circumcised as a means of keeping the law to stop. He reminds them that those who are circumcised don’t keep the law and therefore the law is pointless if it is simply a ritual.

There are many people today who try to impress others with their “religiosity” by one means or another. For some, it’s who their pastor is, for others it’s how often they take communion, and still others who think we are impressed by the denominational banner under which they worship.

If we could ever get beyond the rituals and get into the Relationship, the world would view Believers differently. Unfortunately, we’re too busy trying to make sure we keep up with the rituals and because the rituals are divisive, we lose opportunities to witness to others about the work on the cross and God’s love for all mankind.

It doesn’t what position a person is in when they pray as long as they pray–sincere communication with God, not just murmuring scripted words led by others. I’ve never understood why anyone thinks a scripted prayer, written by another mortal would be more effective than sincere communication with God.

It doesn’t matter what day we use to observe our relationship with God–there are seven days in a week and Jesus said He was Lord of the Sabbath–which means any day we choose to worship, is all right with Him. The reality is–everyday should be a day of worship.

It doesn’t matter when we participate in communion or who serves it. Smith Wigglesworth served himself communion on a daily basis and he’s considered one of the most revered men of faith. Whether we use wine or grape juice or water or any other liquid–the symbolism is important–not the elements used.

The reality of religion is that most leave out relationship in favor of rituals--that won’t change a thing in our lives. Rituals don’t deliver, heal, comfort, or guide. They are simply outward expressions devised by mortals to control others and to ridicule those who won’t or don’t participate.

There are no superior religions or religious groups of people. We are all in need of a Savior and unless we see Jesus as our Savior and accept the work on the cross, the rituals are a waste of time and effort.

So, whether we pray once a day or ten times a day–if we have no relationship with God–we have wasted our time. It is being in relationship with God that motivates our behavior and ignites our promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we are not promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the midst of our religiosity–we are simply being religious and are ineffective witnesses of His Goodness.

It’s time for a change–let’s shed the rituals for right relationship with God and see the world come to know Him, through us!

Truth That Endures Forever!

“The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” (Psalm 119:160 NKJV)

God’s Word–all of it–from beginning to end is the truth and the truth that must be understood is that each time God spoke to people, He had a specific reason for saying what He said–to those who He was talking, during the time, He was speaking to them.

His decrees, judgments–whatever someone wants to call them–have enduring power and since they do not change, they will be the same as from the beginning until the end.

Jesus–God in the flesh–came to fulfill The Law–of sacrifice for repentance of sin. He did not come to change what God has said and He said, that He could only say what the Father said. Now, we need to see this very clearly. If we believe that God came to earth in the “likeness of sinful flesh” then we would have to understand that since He established His Word, He would not change it–simply because of a change in appearance.

How does Jesus fulfill The Law–by becoming the ultimate sacrifice for the remission of sin. There is no longer any reason for “sacrifices of animals or grain” to be made. The only thing that He expects from us is to fulfill the commandments of Love–Loving Him with all our hearts, souls, and minds, and Loving one another as we love ourselves.

When we love Him–we will obey Him. When we love others–we will not cause them harm; especially if we know how to love ourselves. The love that is referenced in the Bible is not lust and we know that lust is the reason that people sin against God; their fleshly dictates overrule any desire to please God. For The Word has said, we cannot serve two masters–God of heaven and the god of the this world. Either we function in the spirit or in the flesh. We either do what God says or allow man to manipulate what we do. It is an “either” “or” proposition–submit to God or submit to man.

I choose to submit my ways and thoughts to God so I can receive the benefits and results that God has chosen.

When we learn to make a distinction between love and lust, affiliation with religion and relationship with God, we will hopefully see the need to have a relationship with God rather than affiliation with religion and then–only then–will we see a change in the environment with weather patterns, violence, and unrest, as we return to enjoying the “peace of God” on a daily basis. His peace, surpasses all understanding–is greater than all of man’s wisdom. For if we claim to have wisdom and it is not the wisdom of God, we actually have nothing.

This is a Truth–based upon God’s Word–that will endure forever!

Heartache!

While I watch the world collide–

Ideas, ideologies, opinions, beliefs,

My heart aches over the time wasted

Trying to convince others which one is right,

When babies are aborted, abused and misused,

Children lost, identity lost, and confused

In the midst of adult angst, not teens,

Who have their lost their way, understanding

Their role to be model Godly behavior at all times,

Whether it makes sense or has reason or rhyme.

But my heart aches because in our busyness,

We have forgotten the great love by which

He has shown us and what we should be showing to others.

We can be different and no one right.

We can even the odds with words or a fight,

But until love abides in our hearts, our days will be as night,

With the darkness of evil reigning as selfishness,

And self-centeredness, closes the door and deepens the plight

Of injustice, when we say wrong is right and refuse to ignite

Our lives with the love of God, bringing others into the light,

Developing relationships with Him and others and not

New religions or religious traditions that do nothing more,

Than attempt to control man over man and we leave God

Out of everything we do and wonder how we came to be

In such a mess. My heart aches!

I pray as the tears flow and wonder if God hears,

My pleas to help us get things right with Him so

We can have peace on earth as it is in Heaven, or

Has He reached the place like once before, when

He told Jeremiah, “Don’t pray for these people for

I will not hear you!” O Lord, my God, do not forsake

The remnant You said You’d save, that remnant who

Still believes and tries to achieve all that You ask,

And endures the scorn and persecution of completing each task,

Hear us O Lord, see our tears of regret and remorse,

Allow us back into Your presence where we’ll be forevermore,

And cut away all this stuff in us that makes us rebel and oppose,

Goodness, inherent in us because of You creating us in Your likeness

That we might do what is needed to keep this relationship right,

Separating daylight from the darkness of night, desiring to know

You better, O my heart aches for the comfort of Your loving arms

Embracing us each day, The safety from which we turned away

To do our own thing, living life as we please, ignoring what You said,

And using our knees for everything but communication with You,

My  H E A R T   A C H E S!

Love, Obey, See Him!

“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them. Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them” (John 14:22,23 NIV).

The manifestation of God’s love towards us–coming down in the likeness of flesh in the person of Jesus Christ to save us from ourselves as demonstrated by the work on the cross.

The manifestation of our love towards God–keeping His commandments–loving Him and others as demonstrated by our actions towards Him and others.

The manifestation of unbelief–denial of God’s existence, the work on the cross and God’s love for others as demonstrated by those who denigrate and undermine those who believe.

At the end of this journey called life–we must all–believer and unbelieving–give an account for what we have done. God is not accountable to us–we are accountable to Him. As a believer and child of the most High, the only words I plan to hear from my Father are, “Well done, my child!”

What will you hear?

When we love God, we see His love manifested in what we do for others and in our obedience to Him.

Lord Jesus, help our unbelief so we may see You and the manifestations of Your goodness in our lives!

Holiness (excerpt)

How does one define holiness?  According to Easton’s 1897 Bible Dictionary, “personal holiness is a work of gradual development.  It is carried on under many hindrances, hence the frequent admonitions to watchfulness, prayer, and perseverance” (I Corinthians 1:30; II Corinthians 7:1; Ephesians 4:23, 24).  Simply put, true holiness is being as much like God as we can.  We can exhibit love for all, compassion for all, and maintain a right relationship with God so that He may guide us in all that we do.  If we refuse to obey His Word, we cannot be in a right relationship with Him.  We must also remember that we are not gods and we do not have the right to tell Him what He can or cannot do either with others or through others.

Holiness is not defined by man’s inept attempt to keep people bound to legalism.  “If a woman is truly holy, her clothing will completely cover her extremities; her hair will be covered, and she will be void of make-up and jewelry.”  There are no specifics as to how to define how a man is holy as far as how their dress goes.   So says legalism.

What is legalism?  Legalism is the way of the Pharisees and Sadduccees.  These are the rules by which people determine (not by the Word of God) who is holy and who is not.  Legalism is another word for bondage.  Bondage hinders and prohibits the Holy Spirit from directing and guiding an individual and keeps people controlled by other people based upon their traditions.  Jesus gives us warning about such people when talking about the Pharisees.  “Thus you are nullifying and making void and of no effect [the authority of] the Word of God through your tradition, which you [in turn] hand on.  And many things of this kind you are doing” (Mark 7:13 Amplified).  In this particular passage Jesus is referring to how the

Pharisees attempt to control men as it relates to the care of their parents.  It also holds true for much of the church world’s attempts to establish rules.

How many rules does a church have?

There are rules for dressing in order to come into the sanctuary.

There are rules for committing a portion of one’s income to support the church.

There are rules for what one can do outside the church building.

There are rules for which one can hold associations or affiliations.

There are rules for when to come to church.

There are rules for who can teach or preach.

There are rules for where one can sit in the church.

There are many rules for the women.

There are some rules for the men.

There are rules for the young people.

There are rules for the rules.

Does all of this sound familiar?  If one looks closely at all the rules, the majority of the rules are directed towards women.  [Remember when the Pharisees brought the woman who was “caught in the very act” to Jesus?  What happened to the man?  The “law” states that both should be stoned to death.]  This discovery should not be a surprise since the majority of churches are established by men for men.  Women simply become an after-thought in the consideration of everything that goes on around them.  This is a fascinating phenomenon since most churches could not continue to function if it were not for the women involved.

One In Purpose!

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

Although there are four commonly known versions of the life of Jesus, I wish I had the time to fully expound on John’s Gospel–his personal insight that brings me to new understanding every time I read it.

Before I can even begin to explain what I have been inspired to write, I must go back to the beginning.  If we are to truly understand anything about life, we must understand the origins–the beginning of those things that we later say are “history.” John reveals who Jesus is and that God and He are one and the same, in purpose from the first verse.  “In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God and The Word was God.” What is the beginning that John references?  When God created all things that were created, The Word–Jesus–was with Him.  How do we know?  In the first chapter of Genesis in verses one through twenty-five, when God was speaking everything into existence, He said, “let there be” and it was. In verse twenty-six, He says, “Let us make man in our image” and they did.

Since God is a spirit, Jesus became the flesh of the implantation of the Spirit and lived among us. Glory to God! The Spirit of God, implanted in the virgin so that man’s seed would not have any corruptible influence on God’s plans to redeem–Jesus is God in the flesh. However, because He understands our inability to sometimes see clearly what He does, He references Jesus as His Son and rightfully so. Jesus, who from the beginning knew what His role in life was to be, called God “Father” and rightfully so. Since Jesus is the Son, and we are adopted into the family when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, Jesus is our “elder brother” because we are all now sons and daughters. I wish I could dwell here, but I can not, there’s too much more to be said.

When Jesus ascended to Heaven, He sent back His Spirit–as promised–to comfort us, teach us, guide us and remind us what The Word said and did.

Three distinctive roles–the Divinity–God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit with the same purpose: The Father created us to have a relationship with Him, the Son restored us after the relationship was broken, and the Holy Spirit sustains us in keeping a right relationship with Him, to give us opportunity to have abundant life, share the gospel with others so all might be saved, and to have access into heaven as our eternal resting place.

Since this understanding as been revealed to many–either by the Holy Spirit–or by reading books written by man who received the revelation, there is no need for me to attempt to further explain.  I suggest, reading the Gospel of John with eyes opened by the Holy Spirit, heart ready to receive what is revealed, and a mind made up to serve Him.  Like them, we should all be–one in purpose! Life with Jesus is about relationship, not religion.
