Evangelicals Are Tired Of Living!

Evangelicals Are Tired Of Living!

Many Evangelicals have conned their congregations into believing God determined that Donald J. Trump should be president because he would usher in the second coming of Christ and they believe that establishing an embassy in Jerusalem will bring it to pass. In essence, they want the end to come based upon John’s revelation which means they’re tired of living.

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth–Gog and Magog--and to gather them for battle. In number they are like sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:7-10 NIV

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Revelation 21:6-8 NIV

There is a great deal more that is revealed to John, but since I’m trying to make a point about the lie perpetuated by many church leaders, I won’t spin my wheels trying to extrapolate it. The bottom line is–since the Evangelicals believe trump is the impetus to bringing about the return of Christ–they are also acknowledging he is anti-Christ (Satan, the devil) because according to scripture, it is when Satan is loosed and most of us–Christian and non-Christian believe trump is the epitome of the anti-Christ because nothing he does–is Christ-like and certainly does not reflect his belief or willingness to do as Christ would do.

Now, many may argue my point and that is certainly their right, but I’ve never seen anyone as divisive, vile, and ego-driven as trump or his idolatrous worshipers who are filled with hateful bigotry. They are the ones who need to be concerned about the end since they will miss heaven. What they have overlooked is, there will be no “new Jerusalem” until all the old has been destroyed and at that time–there will be no need for walls or war–because the reference is to our lives in heaven.

I can’t speak for every Born-Again believer who truly conducts themselves as followers of Christ, but I can speak for myself. I am appalled at the atrocity Evangelicals have instigated by lying to their flocks. They have misled and misdirected so many people into believing the lie that many are prepared to “kill others” because of their idolatrous worship of trump. But I am not their judge, God is–the God of heaven, not the god of this world who has deceived them and is now, laughing out loud at their folly. They may not see it, yet, and may not even see it before their demise, but it will be noted in the books of history and certainly noted in the records of heaven.

The Evangelicals in the 21st Century–are the contemporary Pharisees who are not interested in all developing and maintaining a life with Christ–doing good, but in controlling what people think and do. They have been deceived and are not willing to admit their mistakes and tell people the truth. They don’t have to tell people the truth; there are many of us who continue to tell the truth–Evangelicals have lied to their congregations and are apparently, tired of living. Well, since they’re tired of living, they should effectuate their deaths and leave the rest of us alone. The end will come–but only when God decides, not them. But we have to give them credit where credit is due–their choice (not God’s) in supporting trump is leading to the destruction of the earth and God will hold them accountable for that.

For the rest of us who are not tired of living, but have hope in the future and a desire for our children and grandchildren to enjoy the planet–we have work to do and we don’t have time to wait for if we delay–for any reason–we perpetuate the nonsense being spewed by those Evangelicals who are tired of living. It is time to Resist the evil that confronts and unite to conquer the evil with love and compassion, driving out all the hate and bigotry.

Resist!

Resist!

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NIV

Today–as many of us prepare to march in demonstration of our frustration about the lack of transparency exhibited by the #WHidiot–we will resist the devil and oppose him on every side until he comes clean about his relationship with Russia by revealing his tax returns. He has something to hide and it’s not about how rich he is. It’s about his connections to Russia on a financial level.

The “muscle-flexing” show he’s putting on for the world playing “chicken” with N. Korea is simply a demonstration of his desire to have center stage. He’s too foolish to even realize the danger he’s creating for everyone– and though he may believe that he’s safe–the end results of a nuclear war will not discriminate from the poor to the White House–obliteration–for all.

If I live through this day and the weeks to come; I will be seeking The Lord for direction as I struggle with a decision to run for president in 2020. After all, if an illiterate imbecile can run and win, I have a good chance at winning as well. The difference between him and me–I have knowledge of civics, the constitution, geography, economics, education, philosophy and a heart of compassion and Holy Spirit directing my steps. Did I leave out anything else as a qualifier? Oh! I have no problem with transparency–background checks, birth certificate checks, college transcripts or tax returns. I think that just about covers it all. Except one more thing–I’d run as an Independent–it’s about Americans, not a political party! I will bring back integrity and honor to the White House! I have no need to lie!

Keep Watching! It’s bound to be fun!

Tempted!

Tempted!

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.  When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:12-22 NIV

Such rich word from James–reminding us that though many may be tempted to do those things which are not right in God’s sight, we do not have to give in and we certainly cannot say–“God tempted us.”

We are tempted to given into those things we want to do–right or wrong. If our flesh controls what we do rather than Holy Spirit, then we’ll most likely given in to the temptations set before us and the enemy–Satan–knows exactly how we can be tempted, but just like God won’t force us to do anything, neither will or can Satan. Our choices determine our consequences.

Some people are tempted by money and obtaining it by any means possible. This temptation is nurtured by greed and desire for power and status and usually ends up leading people to a jail cell for corruption via embezzling, bribery, and illicit deals often conducted in darkness and in secrecy.

Some people are tempted by desire for affection and sexual gratification. This temptation is nurtured by the seeds planted in the mind from pornographic material and dissatisfaction with one’s current state in a relationship. When a person won’t keep their flesh under control, relationships are shattered, health is risked, and in some cases–people are publicly humiliated because of their lack of control.

Had an interesting exchange with someone on Twitter last night in response to a tweet about Pence saying, he won’t be alone with a woman and always requires his wife’s presence. Now, while this might sound “holy” to some, it struck me that he doesn’t trust himself to not be tempted in an effort to appease his own desires. Since he is supposed to be a Christian, I wonder why he’s concerned since Holy Spirit should be guiding all he does. I know some would attempt to apply, “we should avoid the very appearance of evil” to this situation, but I’m having a hard time understanding how a man being alone with a woman or vice versa should be considered evil.

Because of my ministry, I have been alone with men on a number of occasions and I’ve not been tempted to do anything that would not honor God. In jail ministry, in ministering to veterans as a volunteer chaplain, in business endeavors–whatever situation I found myself in–I knew I could count on Holy Spirit to keep me from falling short.

My point in all this is simply–know yourself and what may tempt you. I’m tempted by cheesecake and so I try staying away from places that sell the best and when I do cave–I only purchase one serving. Money doesn’t tempt me and nor does anything that could land me in a jail cell. I know when I pray, God hears and I allow Holy Spirit to do what He does best–keep me in check.

So, if you’re tempted to do something you shouldn’t–ask yourself why and if professing to be a man or woman of God, submit to Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead in all things.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
