No Checks/No Balance Of Power

Don’t know how many people feel about the current state of affairs in America with the lack of respect for our Constitution. Considering the fact that the Founding Fathers understood that at some point, the time would come when the balance of power would be challenged and we’re here. This White House administration has flatly refused to honor the Constitutional features of checks and balances and is operating as an authoritarian entity. That is not what America is supposed to be.

In 2017, the GOP Congress–both House and Senate–abdicated their responsibility to keep trump checked and in 2018–the people spoke and won the House. Even though the Democratic House has the Congressional Power to do its oversight, they are meeting roadblock after roadblock with the administration who obviously has much to hide from the public. And that’s the key. The White House is the “People’s House” and everything that pertains to the American public should be public knowledge–especially “private meetings with our adversaries, trump’s taxes, and his business financials. The liar-in-chief is hiding the truth for a reason and we, the American public, should not be left in the dark about what he’s doing or has done and we need to know how obligated he is to the murderous dictators he’s so fond of praising.

Granted, the House can’t stop who he praises, but they can take other measures that limit his ability to put America in harm’s way. An impeachment inquiry is needed ASAP! Donald J. Trump is a threat to national security since he obviously shares information with his foreign dictator buddies. He has openly revealed his plans to use Russian or any other foreign assistance to help cheat during the 2020 election. I’m absolutely sure our intelligence community is aware of all the communications he and staff make to ensure this happens. I’m equally sure that he can be stopped.

It’s time, House Democrats to put a lid on this situation before it boils over and severely creates a crisis of humongous proportions in which many will lose their lives. War with Iran is not out of the question and since his 4th of July charade was apparently an attempt to recruit to the military, he underscores that possibility.

There can be no balance of power within our government if every branch of the government is not exercising all of its ability to check the White House. Congressional Oversight is meant to be a check on the Executive branch in order to keep “all Americans” safe and secure within this country. We are failing miserably because Democrats follow the rule of law. So, the judicial branch, no matter how overtly biased in its composition, must adhere to the “intent and spirit” of the Constitution (as well as the words) to support Congress in their attempt to conduct oversight. Do The Right Thing to protect America and all those who reside within our borders. Let trump know–again–SCOTUS you are not his judges any more than our military is his military. Help Congress put a stop to the insanity, NOW!

Prayer For The Nation!

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:13,14 NIV)

Father,

I humbly seek You now,

In the midst of chaos and confusion in these times,

Stirred up in the minds of those led by Satan,

To destroy all that You love, hear my prayer, O Lord

Guard and protect our minds from the influence of evil,

Open our eyes so we might see, in the spirit, lurking danger.

Since I pray not just for myself, but for a nation that’s lost,

Because they forgot to count up the cost–of sin,

Before Your wrath is poured out upon the land,

In every crevice and corner, wreaking havoc

Raining down on the just as well as the unjust.

Examine my heart to know my motives are sincere,

And if You find no fault in me, hear and answer my prayer.

Speak to the hearts of the unrepentant, revealing who You are,

Remind them of the Foundation on which this country

Was established, survived and thrived, using Your Word for the laws of the land.

Speak to the heart of the President, reminding him

Of the path, You established, but which he has strayed.

Speak to the hearts of the lawmakers, showing them

How apathy results in solving nothing, but creating more problems.

Speak to the hearts of the appointed ones, the judges and others,

Who swear on Your Word for installation ceremonies, but by their actions,

Prove they don’t know who You are and their symbolism means nothing.

Speak to the hearts of those who continue to rebel against what is right,

Changing, perverting, Your Word, instilling in many the will to fight,

But not on their terms, realizing this war is not carnal, but spiritual,

And can only be won, if You’re in the lead, paralyzing all in the path

Of rebellion inspired by witchcraft and demons.

Speak to the hearts of Believers everywhere, remind them

Of Your Word–blessed for obedience, cursed for rebellion;

Their role, promoting Truth, is not finished, until You return to gather us all unto You.

Encourage them to stand tall and firm on Your Word,

Your Word that guides, corrects, instructs, and trains us to be

Victorious in the army of God, confronting the confusion

Whose author creates the rhetorical delusion that Your love,

Erases all need to obey Your Word, spoken by Your Son, The Word,

When He came in Your name, to give Himself as a sacrifice to save

Us all from ourselves–in a sin-ridden world–who loved us enough

To die for us, now we have a chance to love Him enough to live for Him,

Loving You enough to obey Your command to love–You and others,

And enough to know we cannot take Your grace and mercy in vain,

Allowing sin to continue to reign, encouraging others to do likewise,

Knowing that one day, we will stand before You and give an account,

Of all we have done in ourselves and those things we promoted or condoned in others.

Speak to the hearts of parents everywhere,

Reminding them how to parent according to Your Word,

Loving them, providing for them, instructing them in Your ways,

Correcting them and punishing them, when they don’t always obey.

Speak to the hearts of the children, both the young and the old,

Reminding them that long life and happiness are the result of obedience.

Speak to the hearts of teachers all over the land,

Reminding them they are to teach the children, not abuse or misuse them.

Speak to our hearts, Lord. Remind us of Your Holy Word,

Give us direction as we offer ourselves up for Your correction,

Giving up greed with speed to stop sickness and disease in its tracks,

Using Wisdom from above, as we pray on our knees

Asking forgiveness for all our wrong, distorted, rebellious deeds.

Obeying You in all things so we will have long life and prosperity,

Giving the devil no place in our lives, no victory for him as we thrive.

So when You return and position us before You,

We’ll have no need to fear or be ashamed of the Victory we’ve won,

In living for You and all we’ll hear is, “Well done, my child.”

All this we ask and thank You for doing,

In Jesus’ name and we count it done!

Taking A Stand Against The Devil’s Schemes!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:10-12 NIV)

Since the first man and woman were deceived in the garden by Satan, evil from high places have influenced the minds of those who do not understand God.

The first step to understanding God and His plan for mankind is to understand who He is and His intent for mankind. Creator God–the God of heaven–is not an evil ruler or man that He should lie or change His mind about anything He’s said. It is only those who choose to pacify fleshly desires and ungodliness who think there is no God or that He should not be heard. That is their choice.

For those of us who have established a right relationship with God, understanding who He is and His plan for mankind, and having accepted His Son’s sacrifice on the cross, we know (not believe) that God’s Word is His plan for mankind and we agree with God.

We know that the enemy has influenced those in places of authority by clouding their minds and putting scales on their eyes. They are blinded to God’s truth because of their own aspirations to be “somebody” and to gain the approval of man. But the Word reminds us that we have gained nothing winning the approval of people if we lose our souls in the process (Matthew 16:26).

My soul delights in the Lord and all His teaching! For I know that nothing He has said was intended to harm me, but to make my life a cause for rejoicing in Him. No matter what the enemy does to influence people to live in opposition to God, I agree with God–from Genesis to Revelation–and will proclaim from the mountain tops to the depths of the sea–Our God reigns!

I love the Lord because He first loved me and I will love all of His children and pray for the redemption of all who oppose Him that they will see the light of His love and be not conformed to this world and its delusions, but they will be transformed–willingly–into everything God would have them to be and walk the narrow path–escaping the destruction of the broad path.

We must remember that men–mere mortals–do not have a heaven or hell for us; they do not define or redefine what God has said is sin, and we do not have to obey sinful governance–declared by anyone. Remember Daniel and all who came before and after who chose to obey God rather than man. Remember Achan (Joshua 7) and the sin committed by his daughter’s hiding the idol in their tent that brought destruction upon their entire household. Is God like fickle-minded man that He changes His mind and approves every wind of doctrine that man contrives? NO! God is not a man that He should lie and He will have the last word about everything man does.

Believers–put on the armor of faith, salvation, truth, righteousness, and lift high the sword–The Word of God and proclaim it in all the land, whether the unbelieving believe it or not. Pray in the spirit so the enemy cannot hinder your thoughts and know that God has a plan and His plan will be fulfilled and He will not forget the remnant who remains faithful to Him.

Nations Judged by a Risen Savior!

“Arise, LORD, do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.” (Psalm 9:19 NIV)

“Arise, Arise, Arise Oh Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered.”

The words are included in a song of praise, acknowledging that when God reigns over a situation, men won’t triumph and all the nations will see the downfall of all those who are opposed to God. This was true when David wrote it and it is still true today.

Many times we attempt to fight a battle that is not even our battle to fight. The battle in deed is the Lord’s over much of what is occurring in recent events. Since the beginning of time when man made choices, God has not allowed any nation to remain a power to be reckoned with when they oppose God.

Such is the fate of our nation--we are doomed to be ruled by others–who don’t know God, because of our disobedience and apathy. We who know Him, not just about Him, have failed to promote a flawless Gospel because of a perfect Savior because who choose to allow flesh to rule and not His Spirit.

How many years passed between the last prophet who heard from God and the appearance of Jesus? We have determined a fate that is similar to those who were ruled by godlessness because we refused to speak up and promote righteousness in the face of God’s enemy–for it is Satan who has influenced the minds of all who promote living in opposition to God’s Word.

Take heart! God hears the prayers of the righteous–those who are determined to live for Him. Even the world will change, His love towards those who truly love Him, will never change and His mercy endures forever. Let everyone who knows the power of prayer and the provision of our Risen Savior arise and say so!

God’s not dead–He is yet alive and He is the same today as He was in yester-years and all those who mock Him will see Him and His majesty in the power given to all who will hear Him.

Those who didn’t know Him, mocked Him then and they are no longer, neither are there any descendants of those who promoted evil. What He has done before, He will do again and all the world will see–the enemy defeated and thrown into the lake of fire with all those who followed him.

Thank You, Lord for being a refuge for those who love and know You, determined to live life that is pleasing to You.

God Is Still Right!

“There is a way that seems right unto men, but that way leads to death” (Proverbs 16:25 Paraphrased)

No matter what men/women do or what office they hold, they are still–men–fallible human beings.

Those men/women are not God and God will not uphold those who proclaim what He has said is wrong to be right.

For anyone who can oppose God and see nothing wrong–be very afraid–of the chaos that is bound to reign. Men/women are fickle and are constantly changing their minds, but God is and always will be a constant in our lives and He shall have the final say.

“If my people, who are called by my name, would humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways, then would I hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal the land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 Paraphrased).

 

Father, in the name of Jesus–hear the cries of those who know You and understand Your ways that are not the ways of man–speak to our hearts and cut away the hardness that we will hear You, and repent, while we yet have a chance. Amen!
