Giving Thanks!

Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Today–encourage all to enjoy the day–giving thanks for all we have, all we didn’t get when we wanted it and for all the miss-steps we’ve taken in life in order for God to get us where we are. I love me–just the way I am–but didn’t always for the way, I used to be. But now, I have a reason to give thanks–daily–the grace of God that has sustained me through trials and wrong directions for over 65 years.

Listen, I’ve been there and done that–facing all the challenges and struggles I know many have and are facing. I know what it’s like to be a single mother raising two children in the depths of the ghetto, always praying for their safety as well as my own.

But I’m a big girl and I learned to take life’s knocks with a spring-back attitude. I never let one failure or disappointment keep me down. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t discouraged from time to time, but I refused to allow discouragement and discontent keep me from my destination even when I wasn’t sure where I was headed.

I had a dream and I put a lot of credence in dreams. For years, I dreamed that I was running through a school, trying to get to class and though I always started out fully dressed in the dream, I always ended up naked–wondering why people were staring at me. When I got a chance to go back to school in my forties, I stopped having the dream. Not only did I complete my BA in Sociology and English, I kept going until I finished a MA in English and Speech and then completed all the coursework for a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in English and Special Education.

During a lay-off in which I didn’t have a full time job for two years, I had an opportunity to really look at where I was headed. I realized that teaching was no longer a viable career and I couldn’t/wouldn’t attempt to encourage anyone to go into a field that did not offer a wage comparable to other professions and one in which very few people respected teachers. When I finished the coursework, I stopped–no longer interested in completing that particular path for it no longer had meaning for me and my passion subsided. Don’t get me wrong–I still love teaching–it is my passion, but I could not look another person in the eye and encourage them to get into that field.

At any rate, I retired and am working seven hours a week–teaching college courses. But then came the 2016 election and Hillary lost (with Russia’s help). I, along with millions of others railed against the rigged election, and started working social media to vent. On the night #TraitorDon launched missiles into Syria just to flex his muscles, I dreamed I had a conversation with him. In the dream, I told him I was running for president and he told me, I couldn’t because I wasn’t qualified. I told him I was more qualified than he was and then I woke up. I was attending a tax march and watching others and listening to their concerns, I reflected upon the dream and here I am, months later, preparing my run for president in 2020.

Not everyone understands what’s driving me to do this–especially since I have no previous political experience–but I have a passion to represent all Everyday Americans and to make sure they have a voice in the White House. People I’ve talked to are more concerned about Republicans digging up dirt than I am. I’m not afraid of any discoveries since my life is outlined on the Internet in various mediums.

No matter what others say, I will not be deterred; especially if Democrats are successful in flipping the House in 2018. If I lose, I lose, but no one will ever say I didn’t try. After all, I’m planning to win and I’ll never know what I can do, unless I try.

I may not be the perfect candidate, but there are none. So, here’s what I have–a desire to serve, considering all and not supporting or promoting any policies that cause harm to people, planet or economy. We do not need to build a wall to keep immigrants out; we need to build relationships that solidify positive forward movement. We need to provide accessible, affordable healthcare to every American. We need to focus our attention on making sure our children have access to a quality, free college education. We need to make sure our senior citizens never have to worry about where or how they’re going to live because of their limited incomes. We need to shore up our justice system so justice is equitable and fair no matter a person’s income, gender or race. We need to secure our standing on the global stage by being #1 again in the eyes of other world leaders and doing all we can to make sure the world can live in peace and we can keep our planet sustaining life, not destroying life.

My ancestors were not immigrants, they were imported to make life better for those who migrated from Europe to live in this land. There are groups of hate-filled, bigoted people who desire to deport every person who is not white in order to “preserve their race” with white privilege. I’m not a hater, don’t understand hate and don’t want to understand hate. But I will not stand by and silently allow any group of people to attempt to silence or denigrate others. I’m a known rebel and I won’t stop when I know there’s something I can do to help others.

On The Road To Vindication!

For all who lied said God chose trump to lead this nation, the time of reckoning is upon us and God will show up and show out–exposing all those who lied to the nation. We don’t have to concern ourselves with how God will avenge us–that is His decision, but many won’t like what happens and they’ll hang their head in shame.

Don’t think for a moment that I’m just looking at the election results from yesterday, but I’m also reflecting upon the election results from 2016 that was rigged with Russian assistance and coordinated by members of the trump campaign. The evil that brought us into the election cycle with a liar, a thief and a traitor will turn upon itself and God will expose the liars, grifters, and evil they sought to do by immersing America into Russian authoritarianism. I’m also looking forward to see the results of 2020–in which all known players in the 2016 election rigging will be known and peace can once again reside in the hearts of every Everyday American. Love always triumphs over hate–though it may seem slow, in God’s timing we will see the vindication of The Lord and how He avenges His name.

I look forward to running a presidential campaign that invites all to join and leaves none pushed aside. I also look forward to winning and establishing an administration that looks like America where everyone is represented with equal opportunity to determine the direction in which our country continues. I look forward to seeking those who have Talents, Integrity, Enthusiasm and Strategies to win and serve the people of this great country. And know this–I am not proclaiming I am God’s choice, but that I am willing to be used by God to serve this nation in a way that will glorify Him and not me, promoting love and not hate, peace and not war, cooperation and not stagnation or obstruction to make sure ideas that benefit the masses are implemented!

The journey will not be an easy one, but I look forward with personal satisfaction in knowing that I was right all along and the insight given to me by God will be proven accurate. Whether those who mocked me or told me I was wrong is not an issue. They will have to live with their own consciences, not me.

When we live according to The Word, not people–justice–though delayed–will reign and God’s vindication will be known throughout the world. I thank God that He has filled me to overflowing with love and gratitude because of His love for me. With His love overflowing from my heart–there is no room for hatred and bigotry and no decision I make will be driven by hate, but desire to serve the needs of the people who make this nation great.

We are on the road to vindication as a nation–those of us who know truth will live truth and exercise truth in all we do and be victorious as a Blue Tsunami floods the country in 2018 and in 2020. Our trials in dealing with a treasonous administration will end with triumph over the evil plotted against Americans in 2016. God will repay!

 

Now Is The Time For Action!

In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.” He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.” His mouth is full of lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue. He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent. His eyes watch in secret for his victims; like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net. As a strong believer in the power of prayer, I also understand that praying without taking appropriate action won’t accomplish much. Yes, we need to pray for people in times of crisis and tragedy, but we also need to take action–not just the Everyday Americans who’re praying, but the legislators who have the authority to change the way we do business and to curtail the evil nurtured in those who do not know God.

There is a time for prayer–daily, as often as one needs to talk to God–but then if we want to see concrete results of prayer, we must DO SOMETHING in order to see our prayers answered. Faith–total confidence in God–requires action on the part of the people praying, not just giving lip service in a time of crisis. Yes, “our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of tragedy,” may make us feel better that we said something, but does it make sense for us to keep saying the same thing, over and over again, when our lawmakers–hold within their hands the power to change the landscape of tragedy into one of hope and saved lives?

I’m praying that all of those legislators who have so happily received funding from NRA will now, reject further involvement by them and act on principle and morality instead of party partisanship. It is time to set aside greed and govern according to the needs of people across America who have suffered loss or injury from out of control people using guns. We NEED COMMON SENSE GUN LEGISLATION, NOW! The discussion needs to be held now, not later when the sensationalism has subsided, but now while wounds are still gaping and bleeding and graves waiting to embrace the innocent. Now, is the time, legislators must stop procrastinating and DO SOMETHING to save lives and end the carnage that erupts by those who are either mentally unstable or just plain evil.

And to be clear, evil doesn’t just rise to the surface unexpectedly. It rises out of careful nurturing over time, being fed and watered out of hate of self and others and those who are partaking of the nurturing, should also be punished for the role they play in the senseless loss of life. Evil doesn’t hide–it parades itself for all to see and someone watching the parade should speak up and try to direct the evil to turn aside into a place of peace and love so healing can begin.

As a nation, we cannot afford to sit idly by and say nothing–we must speak out and force our elected officials to do their job for the sake of all, not the gun lobbyists and manufacturers. Now is the time for action; getting beyond lip service to bring about legislative change to protect us all.

I pray we can affect this legislation immediately, but if we can’t, I urge all to keep pushing for Common Sense Gun Legislation (CSGL) and in 2018 and 2020 vote for candidates who will get it done–forsaking the all mighty dollars of the NRA, in order to save lives.

An Open Letter To American Congress

Open Letter To American Congress

Dear Congressional Members:

About the proposed tax cut that Republicans are so excited about — at least the ones who hate the poor — it is absolutely bull crap, designed to benefit the rich and corporations who are big donors to political parties — notice I said — parties — plural!

Let’s face it — the only people who are in position to cover government expenses through tax dollars are those who make the most money. It’s simple math — something anyone should be able to calculate. But since we apparently have some in Congress and the White House who aren’t that good at math (and I’m no expert), let me approach this from another direction.

The United States is already in debt to the tune of trillions of dollars — the result of negligence from the Bush redistribution of Social Security surplus and then starting a war in Iraq. But let’s not quibble over that point — if we start in the red — and keep spending tax dollars on unnecessary expenditures ( i.e., secret service detail for a family of infinite numbers including staffers and golf carts and housing in trump properties, plus the private jets used by cabinet members) all we’re doing is digging a deeper hole. On top of that, we now “reduce” the amount of tax dollars needed to pay “necessary expenditures” (military, federal government operation, etc.) and we expect what to happen — economic growth and a reduction in the deficit? I think not.

It has become obvious to me, and I’m certain millions of others, that those who claim to be Christians have either not read or understood the bible they supposedly know. “For to whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48). Those who have the most consumable income should pay the larger share of the tax revenue for more than one reason, but here’s mine. It is the very wealthy who use their dollars to influence government — through lobbyists and party donations. The poor and middle class, do not have the opportunity to influence election outcomes other than through their vote.

Since the deck is stacked against us economically — those who have the advantage should pay the most. With the current proposal, the tax cuts for the rich will only give them more to use to influence elections and the poor and middle class lose ground since only those in political positions will determine whether we even get to vote (as evidenced with current attempts to suppress the vote through “unnecessary requirements” and gerrymandering). The alleged “Voter Fraud Commission” is actually doing more to commit voter fraud that in finding evidence of fraud already committed.

I’m sure that all of you know this, but I felt the need to reiterate it since it doesn’t appear that in your elected positions, you are actually representing the people who elected you — us — the Americans.

So here’s a suggestion — start caring more about the people who put you in office — not the wealthy donors who obviously care nothing about anyone other than themselves, but the average, Everyday American — who expects you to do the right thing for everyone. How about that! Is it possible that you can do the right thing for all Americans and not just the wealthy donors?

I can imagine if there are people who feel the same way I do, then many of you won’t have a chance to be elected again. We’re real people with real needs and getting an additional $98.00 a month — won’t make much of a difference to enhance our standard of living. You know why? Those big corporations that get the breaks will increase cost of all they produce and the cost of services which will suck the life out of the $98.00 and may cost us more.

I wish for a month, those who think this tax cut will benefit the poor and help the middle class, would try to live off the income they think others can do with ease. And please, don’t try telling us without the corporations no one would benefit — there would be no corporations if the lowly didn’t work for the them — without getting equitable wages — leaving the corporations to profit and give big bonuses for those who do nothing but sit at desks and think about how they can make their employees more miserable, while lining their own bank accounts. I know, I know — too simplistic for those who think they have “great brains,” but true.

Try this on for size and see if it won’t work for the benefit of everyone:

With this plan those at the lowest end of the income scale will have money to consume the products and services available without being burdened with unfair tax liability. After all, if corporations are producing goods and services and no one can purchase them, how long before the corporations fold? This plan — considers all Americans and puts the burden where it needs to be. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than what we’re seeing with the GOP tax cuts which do nothing for the poor, elderly, and vulnerable. It’s worth consideration and I’m sure — the average Everyday American will see some merit in establishing.

Think about this proposal — where everyone benefits — and about the simplicity of its use. Then, think about this — anyone who manufactures products outside of the United States, hides money in off-shore accounts, or won’t produce their tax returns as an elected official — should not have any input into what others pay who are “loyal” to the American way of life. If you can’t see this — you’re guilty of taxing people without representation because the current plan — is not beneficial to those who elected you (excluding the Russians and other foreign operatives).

Loving Truth More Than Lies!

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. 1 John 3:18-24 NIV

When we say we love–the words must be demonstrated in our actions for all to see. After all, the best sermon is not the one we preach, but the one we live. How can we convince others we love if we are not willing to walk in truth?

So, who’s not willing to walk in truth? It would appear from the daily news briefings conducted by Sarah Huckabee Sanders that truth is a foreign concept to her and others in the White House. Despite the fact that the entire family (Huckabees that is) claims to be Christians, they not only spout lies, but promote them–as though the rest of us cannot see through them.  Not only have they demonstrated their Christianity is not a true walk with Christ, but they support every lie the liar-in-chief tells. What’s even more phenomenal to me is the fact that they lie about what he says, when all who are listening hears what he says. Specifically–the most recent lie–“he didn’t say the justice system was a joke and a laughingstock.” We all heard it and there’s no spin that will make us “unhear” those very words.

For those of you who are tired of my tirades about the WH idiots, please know–I’m just as tired of them as you are, but I refuse to stop bringing truth to the forefront because I’d rather people disdain me for telling the truth, rather than love me for promoting lies. That’s my stand. I will not back down from always speaking truth as it aligns with The Word or as it aligns with daily events and those in leadership positions.

True Christians–those who walk with Christ on a daily basis and understand the greatest commandment is love–know God hates liars and because He hates liars–would not have chosen a pathological liar (or liars) to be in a position of leadership for the already greatest nation on the planet. What the faux-Christians have done–promoting the lie that God chose trump to be president–is to put America in a position of being a joke and laughingstock to other countries. Other world leaders are watching what unfolds in this country on a daily basis. They see the confusion and chaos that resides in the WH and the total incompetence demonstrated by the Russian installed–fake president. They see how he flip-flops on issues and lies unabashedly and dares others to challenge his lies. They see a dark pattern leading to a path of destruction for America and wonder–out loud–how that will affect them since they are supposed to be our allies. How can anyone trust a person to commit to an agreement (NATO) who has disregarded so many other agreements with vendors and others on a whim. The faux-Christians elected a dictator wannabe and the sooner they admit that and withdraw their support, the sooner America can get back on track, sustaining it’s position on the global stage.

The bottom line here is this–we all know (not think) Russia interfered with the 2016 election and yes, their interference with lies and false propaganda, influenced weak-minded voters who refused to do their own research, into believing the lies and false propaganda. We also know–those of us who are capable of drawing conclusions by analyzing the situation critically, that Electors in the Electoral College were bribed into voting for the national clown. Many of them knew what was occurring and still refused to stand in truth and act accordingly. Only a few electors followed their conscience and refused to vote for a liar.

If people choose to believe a liar when he has shown them that he is a liar and is willing to keep lying, they get what they deserve; but what about the rest of us? Why should we be punished and suffer the ill-fated consequences that fall upon all who lie?

We can change things and turn the situation around by loving truth more than the lies and liars and by Voting Blue in all up-coming elections. Democrats are not perfect people because there are no perfect people, but they also do more to demonstrate living as Christians ought to live than the current residents in the White House.

I’m sure by now, most know where I stand–I stand on the side of right, truth, and love. I hope you’ll stand with me in 2020 as I make my way towards a run for the White House.

When Will Enough Be Enough?

An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels. Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. When wickedness comes, so does contempt and with shame comes reproach. The words of the mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a rushing stream. It is not good to be partial to the wicked and so deprive the innocent of justice. The lips of fools bring them strife, and their mouths invite a beating. The mouths of fools are their undoing, and their lips are a snare to their very lives. Proverbs 18:1-7 NIV

Since I highlight in red for emphasis, it would have been appropriate to highlight the entire passage, but there are specific points I want to make here about fools and what happens when they run their mouths without thinking.

The real problem before I began to clarify is this–when will Americans say enough is enough?

There is a segment of America who did not speak out and denounce the “birther movement” perpetuated by trump and it was because of this lie, he ignited hatred and bigotry against Barack Obama and America didn’t say, “enough is enough!”

He rode this lie right into the hearts of haters who elected to govern America for all Americans, but nothing has changed–if anything his rhetoric is about to ignite all sorts of wars, because Republican leaders haven’t said, “enough is enough!”

Recently, he practically endorsed the behavior of white supremacists and the killing of Heather Heyer when he said, “some of them are very fine people” and America didn’t say, “enough is enough!”

He has criticized Colin Kaepernick for taking a knee to protest injustice and igniting polarization against him because he was exercising his 1st amendment rights and now all the ruckus has resulted in a great football player being deprived from doing what he loves and America has not said, “enough is enough!”

From the podium at a press conference, Sarah Huckabee Sanders that Jemele Hill should be fired because she told the truth in saying trump is a white supremacist and America has yet to say with a loud voice, “enough is enough!”

At the United Nations General Assembly, trump vowed to commit war crimes in threatening to, “totally destroy North Korea” which entails murdering 25 million people and some see the statement as “strong” instead of deplorable, but no one has said, “enough is enough!”

Now, he’s turned on Steph Curry simply because once again, Curry decided “to not visit the White House and ignited the rhetoric again and here we are, with not many saying, “enough is enough!”

But perhaps the most telling racist and bigoted remarks (of late) is his calling Black Athletes, “sons-of a b****” and calling them to be fired by owners. He didn’t call the white supremacist who killed Heather Heyer a hateful name, but Black Athletes–he’s perfectly comfortable with calling names. Is it enough, yet?

Then he turned on the owners who honor a person’s right to express themselves. Is it enough, yet?

He hasn’t said a negative thing about Putin and has attempted to excoriate every other person who does not agree with him. Is it enough, yet?

He’s promoting the Graham-Cassidy Health Care Reconciliation that guarantees over 30 million Americans will not have access to affordable healthcare. Is it enough, yet?

There’s a “base” of people supporting the nonsense and bigoted rhetoric who have ignored the fact that this draft-dodging, tantrum-throwing-toddler-in-chief has no clue what it means to “serve” America or what the Constitution means for all Americans. Is it enough, yet?

His Cabinet is using the United States Treasury as their personal ATM and no one has said, “enough is enough.”

Will Americans wait until a nuclear war is ignited to say, “enough is enough?” It will be too late then, not just for America, but for the world since radioactive material doesn’t discriminate in destruction of human beings and the planet.

If I had the time and thirty extra fingers, typing on three more laps, I still wouldn’t be able to express all that I feel about this horrendous apparatus sitting in the White House, tweeting threats and igniting racial divide in this country. Many of us–recognize what he’s doing and it is not for the benefit of the country, but to appease his base in keeping the racial strife alive–hoping it will be distraction enough to keep the media from reporting on the status of the Mueller investigation. We know distraction when we see it and most of us know, truth will be revealed and he will be exposed as an illegitimate president because of his involvement in the election meddling, he probably applauded.

It is more than enough for me! I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired with his maniacal megalomaniac wannabe dictator and his nonsense. It’s time for everyone with a functioning brain and a heart for Christ to stand up and speak out and say, “Enough is enough!” We have become the laughingstock of the world and the WH idiot thinks other world leaders like him. He’s too foolish and self-absorbed to know, they all think he’s an idiot and none of them trust him.

I’m standing up and speaking out and today, though I’m not normally sitting in front of a television watching football, I will “take a knee” as an expression of my support for those on a football field anywhere and as my right to do so.

When will you say, “Enough is enough” and demand Republican leaders censure trump or start drafting articles of impeachment for his many violations of the constitution?

And since I’m tired of complaining (though I will continue to speak out against all the hate and bigotry), I’m doing something about it. If you’re tired of all the nonsense, too–join me in my quest to become President in 2020!

 

 

We Must Continue The Fight!

Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.” Joshua 10:25 NIV

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 NIV

In the bible there are records of many battles, most of which are led by men, but some only by direction of a woman, Deborah. For those who are foolish enough to believe that a woman shouldn’t be in the White House as president–they might want to revisit the bible they claim they believe as it pertains to their faith in God. God will use whoever is willing to be used.  With that framework in mind–willing to be used–we know God did not choose trump since he is neither willing to be used by God, nor interested in being president for all Americans.

But we cannot afford to stop fighting for justice for all–now is the time to gear up and prepare for the long haul. Hatred and no one who promotes hatred–regardless of the “words” they say, will not reign in America as long as Americans refuse to allow it reign.

This country–(reminder) was inhabited by the Natives when the first settlers arrived. The Natives helped them to survive their first winter and what did the settlers do to show their appreciation? They fought against them, killed them and took their land. That’s how they showed their appreciation.

Then the settlers (from Europe) imported slaves because of their greed and they were too lazy to do the work themselves and too stingy to pay others to do it. So, they paid for slaves and forced them to work, treating them worst than some of their animals and when Lincoln finally acknowledged they were just as human as their white counterparts and declared so–legally–the haters–the white haters still found every justification to rape, lynch, burn the people and cheat them out of land.

We know that hatred abounded then and now with the Jim Crow laws that kept Black people segregated and limited their use of bathrooms, water fountains and hotels and restaurants. White people lied about Black people and justice was a joke since a jury–if used–was all white and usually, the white people just decided to lynch a person “accused of doing wrong” whether evidence proved it or not.

And now we’re dealing with the haters still–those white people who claim they’re afraid their race will be diminished by people of color. So to make sure their race “remains pure” they’re plotting to kill every person of color in America because they think–people of color have somehow kept them from–jobs, happiness, whatever–I don’t know how they justify their false premises–since they have always had opportunities to do things denied people of color.

Hatred is ugly and despicable. It’s roots are found in a person’s insecurities and in those who know how to manipulate others into believing a lie. The leaders of hatred and bigotry really hate themselves and because they feel impotent, they plant and nurture seeds of hatred until people begin believing that everything they don’t have is the fault of a person of color.

There is only one planet that we know of so far that is habitable for human beings–earth. We’re all here–one race–the human race–bleeding the same color. Though there are those who will continue to hate no matter what because it’s easier for them to do so, I will continue to love because it’s easier for me to do so. I hope others will continue the fight against hatred and bigotry everywhere they go.  We know The Word tells us that whatever is in our hearts is what will rise to the surface and overflow from us. Love makes more sense and so much easier to do than hate. We must continue the fight against hate.

My fight to eradicate hate will continue all the way to the White House as I encourage people daily to look within and recognize truth, not enabling lies nor allowing anyone else to pacify or enable false premises. We must be willing to accept truth about ourselves before we can speak truth to others. I am willing to be used by God and willing to serve all Everyday Americans and I will continue to seek support for my run to the White House.

The Value in Traditions!

Follow my example as I follow Christ. I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. I Corinthians 11:1,2 NIV

There are some traditions that hold intrinsic value to a functioning society in stabilizing order and peace. When we think about which traditions we follow and honor–some without realizing how they came to be or why we still do them–we should also consider the purpose or how they impact society as a whole.

If one continues to read the above-referenced passage of scripture, they would notice a tradition that was established by many churches because they misunderstood what Paul was saying. First of all, in order to understand why Paul said anything, we have to know that he was responding to questions posed to him by members of the churches. He provides us with a specific order that we should recognize and to avoid further debate about the man-superiority/authority-over-woman syndrome, understand this reference was to those who are married.

The head of every man–is Christ and if that is not true, nothing else matters. The head of the woman is the man (in Christ) and the head of Christ is God. While understanding this, we have to know that God is the head of all. This is why Paul implores the church to follow him as he follows Christ.

Okay, getting back to the tradition–women wearing hats in church services–some people missed the point that Paul said, “her hair is her covering.” Anyway, here’s where I catapult to other traditions.

Some traditions we should honor and some we should abandon. We should honor those traditions that were instilled in us by loving parents and a caring society.

We should speak to people in passing since it doesn’t cost us anything to be polite.

We should raise our children to be respectful of self and others; especially the elderly.

We should instill in our children the value of doing what’s right and always telling the truth.

We should always instill in our children the value of earning respect and their way in life, legitimately.

Raising children right these days appears to be a challenge for many and I can only conclude that somewhere along the line–valuable traditions were dropped by the wayside.

When it comes to our contemporary society, we must encourage all to pay attention to truth, push back against the lies, and be willing to stand for justice–for all people.

One of the reasons why we have such chaos in Washington right now is someone dropped the ball. Discipline was not the rule of the day in the household of the trump family and it is evident in what we see in the Oval Office and how out of order things are.

I was thinking back to some of the traditions I was taught as I was doing my mile walk this morning and I appreciated my training in common courtesy. Everyone I saw, I spoke to and they returned the greeting. This happens on a regular basis, but it made an impact on me this morning, realizing that it was because of those traditions instilled in me that I could speak to a person and be pleasant to them whether I knew them or not. In fact, most people I pass by often smile with their greeting and I can only imagine it’s because I smile when I greet them. Such a wonderful tradition!

The other traditional values instilled were about honesty and the consequences of lying. I learned early in life that the consequences were not worth a lie. That still holds true–it is so much easier to tell the truth and not worry about anyone discovering a lie.

What I often repeat to my grandson is this: If you only do the right thing, you never have to worry about doing the wrong thing. It’s a premise that works and leave me in a position not to concern myself with oppositional research.

I can own truth and disregard manufactured lies. I have no control over what people manufacture and I have no reason to address such things. I do know everything I’ve ever done and nothing in that knowledge led me to jail or doing drugs. Therefore–all the haters can do is seek and discover truth; if there are lies presented it’s because they manufactured them. Simple as that.

No matter what happens, I’m on a mission to seek support for my presidential bid in 2020 and I won’t stop until it’s over. I hope readers will have an opportunity to review my stances on some issues, what I think a president should know and hear me speak out about the same. If Not Now, When?

Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the Lord. For those actively involved in The Resistance, we have won a small battle, but the war is not over. We must continue the fight against injustice and an unjust person in the WH.

For those who were not actively involved, what’s holding you back? Are you waiting for God to come down out of the clouds and speak to you personally about defending the rights of the poor and the needy? He has already said what we are to do in His Word.

For Christians to not know that it is our responsibility to defend the rights of the poor, needy and vulnerable, what is it going to take to get that through to hearts? How can anyone say they are a Christian and not do what Jesus did and told us to do–love?

If not now, when will it be a good time to demonstrate our love for God and in obeying His Word?

If not now, when will it be a good time to repudiate the notion that God chose trump to be the president of the United States when all he has done–indicates his love and fear of Putin is greater than his love for America?

If not now, when will Christians lift up the name of Jesus in their conduct and not just lip service by caring for all human beings and in protecting their rights?

If not now, when will Evangelical leaders remember they are supposed to follow after God and all He has put on their hearts to do–according to His Word–not their personal agendas.

If not now, when will those sitting in churches, listening to those promoting hatred and bigotry of others have the courage to get up and walk out–letting the leadership know, why they’re leaving?

If not now, when will people stand up and speak out against those who perpetuate hatred against other human beings?

God is not pleased with our lack of compassion for other human beings, our treatment of those who are not like us and certainly our lack of concern for the rights of the poor, needy, and vulnerable. If anyone thinks that God is going to bless them for promoting hatred and embracing the lies of a liar, think again. God hates liars and has prepared a place for them all in the lake of fire.

People have rejected the most qualified person on the planet to be in the Oval Office and elected a “Napoleon wannabe” as a leader of the free world. He has accused President Obama of not being a strong leader (like Putin) and yet he has failed to be an “effective leader” since he has no clue what it means to be a public servant. He wants to be a dictator–who abides by no rules or policy or protocol–and uses threats and attempts to intimidate others–being a cowardly bully instead of a leader. He has refused to accept the fact that he cannot govern a nation run like one of his failed businesses. The chaos in the White House will continue until the people–all the sane folks in America–wake up and see that it’s time for a real change–and if not now, when?

In 2018, the people must balance those in Congress so they’ll be forced to work for the people, not a party agenda. In 2020, we must elect a president who understands the struggles and challenges Everyday Americans face and who will represent Everyday Americans and not a personal agenda. I’m an Everyday American who has lived the challenges most of us face and I know, I can and will represent all Americans since I have no personal or political agenda to achieve–other than doing what is best for all Americans.  Your support in this endeavor is appreciated.

 

When Lies Are The Norm!

A false witness will not go unpunished, and whoever points out lies will not go free. Proverbs 19:5 NIV

For those of us who believe and live The Word, we know, “we shall know the truth and the truth will set us free,” which is a stark contrast to what Solomon reminds us about with those who lie-they will not go free.

Yesterday, there was an outpouring of lies on cable news–primarily CNN and MSNBC by GOP spokespersons and WH surrogates and when their lies were called out–they immediately took offense and blamed the host to whom they were talking. Other pushback came from Gov. Mike Huckabee who tweeted, “my daughter doesn’t lie.”

He was immediately attacked by tweeters who obviously pay more attention to what Sarah Huckabee Sanders does during the “press briefings” on a regular basis than her father. All of them–who come into the briefing room to “share information with the press” lie and what they do–is simply parroting–their boss’s words, not their own thoughts.  When Sarah proclaimed, “the president doesn’t lie and has never promoted violence” is a stark demonstration as to the lengths they will go to, trying to distract their base from the truth–the person in the WH is a totally inept buffoon who acts more like a toddler than a president.

He lied about President Obama not being a citizen–for years!

He lied about President Obama wiretapping him.

He lied about Hillary–everything he said has since been determined to be projection about himself.

He had Sean Spicer lie about the size of the inauguration crowd.  He’s had Steve Miller–with a straight face– about everything he said. Kellyanne Conway lies so much she redefined the lies as alternative facts.

They have all lied about the Russian connections and how they really won the 2016 election–rigged and they knew it.

The entire White House Administration lies and lies about the lies. I can’t even imagine how difficult it would be to try remembering all the lies and they don’t, which is why they end up lying about the lies.

The biggest liars are those on Capitol Hill who will not uphold their oaths of office and stop the craziness. Their oaths of office apparently mean nothing and The Word reminds us that it is better not to vow something than to make a vow and break it. All of the GOP Congress have broken their vows to protect America and our interests by being a check against the abuse of power from the White House. Why? They are fearful of being exposed if they attempt to pull the plug on the buffoonery we see. They are complicit in the Russian hacking and made a deal with the devil to obtain “power” in the government. Their actions prove they are not patriots because they care more about pacifying the president that protecting our country.

But all is not lost–there are too many of us who know the truth and we will not allow the liars and their lies to destroy our democracy. We will rise up and take charge by any means necessary and the media–will provide us the coverage we need to wake up those who believe the lies.
