Waiting–For God’s Intervention!

Waiting–For God’s Intervention!

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

Waiting to exhale–hoping every breath will not be our last–since the crazy just won’t stop!

Since God is not speaking to 45’s heart or if He is–45 is not listening, we can pray for those in Congress to hear God and obey and grow a pair.

So many adjectives–none with a positive connotation–were used in describing the press conference reporters were subjected to yesterday. “Unhinged, crazy, bizarre, off meds” are just a few terms used to describe the maniacal, dishonest comments made by 45.

He didn’t inherit a mess–country is in better shape than it was 8 years ago.

He didn’t win more electoral votes than anyone since Reagan–Obama won with 365 to his 304 (he said 306), and Bush with 425. Apparently his math skills are no better than his reading comprehension skills.

The White House is not running like a fine-tuned machine and we hear about all the chaos on a daily basis–if a person knows where to tune in–that is.

Every time he opens his mouth–insecurities are shown–he has to keep talking about the election win because he knows it was rigged in his favor and he’s fearful evidence will soon be produced. He’s getting ready to campaign for 2020 so he can keep the campaign funds raised for 2016. So much for his feigned riches–he garners by unethical use of other’s money.

His obvious lack of knowledge is continually demonstrated regarding other groups of people, and how he conceives what we know–so blatantly fascist–like he knows best for everyone, when he doesn’t know what’s best for him. We know fake when we see it and hear it–and nothing 45 says is true; it’s his alterative truth–lacking facts.

So, yes, I’m praying for Congress to get it gear and realize they work for Americans, not the president. Americans voted for them and Americans can vote them out! This country has been subjected to the greatest humiliation and embarrassment by a given leader since Bush. World leaders and their people are laughing themselves silly at him and us by proxy!

This is not funny--lives are at stake–all of our lives since he doesn’t think we understand the devastation of a nuclear war. I’d rather not find out and with all of the crazy he’s demonstrated, it’s possible that he’ll start a nuclear war because he’s so petulant and obnoxious, he’ll bully others into reacting rather than ignoring him. And since our republican congress members are reluctant to intervene (when they should), we simply need to ask for God’s intervention–stop the crazy.

Lord,

We’re waiting for You to intervene on behalf of those who love You and obey. We thank You for loving us enough to bring the insanity to an end and that right quickly. We thank You for exposing truth across Congressional members–and whoever is guilty of wrong-doing, bring it to the forefront so we can re-elect those who will care more about the country, than a political party’s agenda. We thank You for keeping us from the evil one and the evil residing in the White House and from those who promoted the evil–the pseudo-christians. Lord, shut the mouths of the liars and seal them with a hot sword–and bring repentance and peace to the land.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!

When The Vision Is Revealed!

I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:1-3 NIV

Be encouraged! When God gives us a vision–even when we don’t understand how it will all play out in our lives, we simply need to write it down–keeping it before us–until it comes to pass.

What is the vision given to you?

Some have been given visions of traveling to faraway places to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Write it down and plan the journey even when the resources are not known–keep it in front of you and remain stedfast in faith that God will bring it to pass. He is faithful to complete everything He starts in us.

Some have been given visions to start non-profit organizations to help those who have been unfortunate in life–to keep them from giving up hope and to promote their well-being–providing them the means to be self-sufficient in life.

Some have been given visions to start for-profit businesses that will be valuable in the kingdom as the Gospel is promoted within and without these businesses.

Some have been given visions to serve in government positions to keep those in leadership mindful of their purposes–according to God’s plans.

Some have been given visions to teach--educate others both in secular environments and within The Body of Christ–so growth, character, and integrity remain a vital part of our society.

Some have been given visions to write–all that Holy Spirit inspires them to write and publish so all will access to what God is speaking to the hearts of all who are willing to listen.

Whatever God has shown us–through visions–we should write it down and prepare to receive all that He has planned for us–and when the plans are complete–we wait for Him to implement each step of the way so we’ll get His results and not our own.

As a result of seeing the vision He has for me–I’m in the process of developing another site designed to discuss my books and those I review for others. I’m excited and receptive to hearing what others think as I begin this new phase and would appreciate whatever insight and feedback others are willing to give. Here’s the link http://www.mhrlifewriter.com/

May God continue to give you vision and desire to see it through until the end. Write the vision, prepare to see it, and then wait for it!

Enriched and Waiting!

For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge—God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you.  Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. I Corinthians 1:5-7 NIV

What does it mean to be enriched in Him? When we are filled with Holy Spirit and He takes up permanent residence in us, we are enriched with knowledge and wisdom from on high and this is God’s confirmation–His continual presence with us.

Since Holy Spirit directs our spirit (when we allow Him to do so), we have access to all spiritual gifts–gift of healing, miracles, tongues and interpretation, wisdom, knowledge, discernment, and prophecy, all working according to the dictates of Holy Spirit’s directions.

When Paul wrote this letter to those at the church at Corinth, he acknowledged the gifts that worked within them and within the body of Christ, but he also admonished them for abusing and misusing their gifts–some for profit and others to make them superior to the masses. And while they had access to the gifts of the Spirit, they continued in sin, influenced by the idolatry that reigned and held them in bondage.

While some of us have been gifted to do great things for The Lord, can we say that we are using our gifts to His glory or our profit? This is not to say that some natural gifts–gifts that are honed by experience and practice cannot be used for profit–but the spiritual gifts are for the benefit of the Body and if we are misusing those gifts–and some are–we bring no honor and glory to God, but instead condemnation from others when truth is revealed.

The most misused gift–is the gift of prophecy–and we know because we have so many prophelying to the masses in an attempt to bring glory to themselves. How is this manifested? In the horoscopes, astrological chartings, the psychics and seers who lie to people all the time and many believe them. Then we have the “Christian Prophets” who are some of the worst liars on the planets. They don’t speak as God speaks to them, but they speak in attempt to appease people and make themselves to be more than they are. They know who they are–and they perpetrate the lie by wearing the title “prophet.” A “true prophet” speaks what God says and they have no need to bring attention to themselves. The false prophet exercises no discernment at all because they’re too busy trying to make a name for themselves and what they say, seldom manifests.

Although there are those who move ahead of God, there are also those of us who simply wait–and while we wait–we seek God’s direction for our lives–exercising the gifts He has given to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not ourselves. When Jesus returns and we are standing before the Judgment Throne, how will we defend ourselves and the use of the gifts He gave us to use?

I’ve often heard people say, they don’t know what gifts they have. I would suggest that all Believers spend time in The Word, understanding how all the spiritual gifts operate and then seeking God for understanding of the gifts He has given to all. When we ask of Him, believing all that He is, He will respond and keep our focus on Him and not fame and fortune. Serving Him with sincerity is all He requires of us–having faith in Him alone. Knowing we shall reap the reward of our faith in Him, makes waiting for Him, worthwhile.

Watching and Waiting With Hope!

“But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” (Micah 7:7 NIV)

Watching the news is depressing with all of the negative reporting. Human beings slaughtering other human beings because of difference of opinion. Kids killing kids. Teens assaulting teachers. Teachers involved in illicit sexual activity with students, Husbands killing wives. Wives assaulting people on the road. Extreme weather conditions causing people despair. Foolish people venturing out in extreme weather conditions causing others to be precarious positions trying to rescue them. Judges ruling on the side of evil incarnate and in opposition to God. Where will it all end?

It will end–all of it-when Jesus returns and for those who have chosen to live without His guidance, they will be left behind to deal with the consequences of their choices.

While I wait in the hope of His glorious return, I watch and pray and pray and watch. I pray and watch. I cry out to the Lord and I know He hears my cries, but He will not override a person’s will. So, I pray for those who are living in opposition to seek Him while He may be found. I pray for those who are the cause of evil to reach the end of themselves. I pray for parents to become Godly parents, understanding right from wrong and teaching their children the same and how to respect others.

I pray for teachers to be adults with integrity to teach their students and not become physically involved with them. I pray for the students to be wiser and more interested in amassing an educating than in seducing or enticing or being enticed by their teachers.

I pray for preachers to be men and women of integrity, exercising wisdom given from on high, inspired to teach God’s Word, based upon God’s Word and His intent for all mankind. I pray for those attending churches–that they will read the bible for themselves and seek God for understanding, not allowing mere mortals to entice them away from God’s intent.

I pray for all of mankind to receive God’s love so they’ll be able to love others and stop the killing. I pray for all of us to hear God when He speaks and that we will obey Him, in promoting the Gospel and loving one another.

I’m watching and waiting with hope in my heart to see change in hearts of people–that we’ll do better and be ready when He returns. And while I’m waiting, I’m writing–trying to motivate others to live for The Lord in all things, seeing Him as the example as how we do it.

Don’t Get Tired Doing Good!

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6: 9,10 NIV).

Sometimes, when our own circumstances seem insurmountable, we tend to dwell on our problems and sink into depths of depression, oppressed by those things we cannot control. When we cannot see beyond the next moment, it is difficult to think about the needs of others, but we must.

When we know to do good and don’t–it is sin, no matter what our circumstances are. God encourages us in His Word not to focus on our own issues, but to be on the look out to do something for others–especially those who belong to the family of believers. If we really trust Him, we can know with assurance that when we give our problems to Him, He will take care of them-in His timing, not necessarily ours.

So, while we patiently wait for Him to bring to fruition what we need, we can–if we try–see the needs of others and do good, no matter what our own circumstances.

Doing good for others does not necessarily cost money, but it will take time. But how much time does it take to smile or hug? Time used in prayer is never wasted time, and neither is time used to call or write someone to encourage them to stay strong. This is doing good and when we take the time to serve the needs of others, we please God. When God is pleased with us, He responds to our faith in Him.

It’s a good time to exercise unconditional faith (resting assured of the outcome–no matter what we see), and do good for someone else who is waiting–for us–for an encouraging word. It won’t cost us anything but time. Love–such a wonderful thing–that can shared with anyone, by anyone,, at any time–all the time! Love to love you, today–now get going and do something good!

Before Our Very Eyes!

At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes,” says the Lord. (Zechariah 3:20 NIV).

We all know that God’s timing is like our timing for with Him, “a thousand years is but a day and a day a thousand years” so at what time is the prophet referencing?

Some may posture that the time is when we are all in heaven. Some may say it has already occurred. Here’s another “theory” about that time. That time–is whatever time God says it is; not us. When He will gather us and bring us home–in His timing. When He will give us honor and praise among “all peoples of the earth” and restore our fortunes before our very eyes, is His timing; not ours. Rather than theorizing about the “when” I’d rather look forward to seeing it since I know that, “eyes have not seen, nor ears heard of all the wonderful things He has in store for us.”

While I wait to see–I will concentrate on being obedient to His Word–embracing my relationship with Him all the more and showering others with the love received from Him, until all I know come to know Him for themselves. How will I do it? One person at a time–with a hug, a smile, a bill tucked into the palms of their hands, an encouraging word that will help keep them focused on moving forward and not dwelling on a past that is beyond recovery, and teaching everything I know, by continuing to learn.

I know that fortunes have been lost with the people who have been lost in the process of time and death. Those people–who could have been instrumental in amassing financial fortunes–left before many had opportunity to do so, but they left behind those who loved them and who are determined to make their lives a legacy before others. Our love for lost loved ones should ignite in us the determination to do all we can before our time is up, and before we can reasonably amass a fortune in “love” that rains upon others, inspiring growth and maturity that will be passed on to generations to come. Our fortunes restored–before our very eyes lie in ability to love and see love grow by what we do that will lead people into greater understanding and knowledge of who God is! He will do it–before our very eyes–if we simply trust and obey!

Gathering us together–those who love and know Love–bringing us home–for home is where the heart is–will be the biggest blessing to mankind that all will be able to see–because and love and peace will abound in all the earth–before our very eyes.

I don’t know about you, but I’m prepared to live a life moving towards the prize–of having Him say “at that time” when all has been said and done, “Well Done!” What are you going to do?

Waiting!

“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD” (Psalm 27:14 NIV).
Still waiting for the return of my computer! I’m trying to find other things to keep me busy, to keep my mind off the potential lost of all my work, story ideas, not yet developed, and with my propensity to forget–may never be remembered.
While I wait, I think about how God has waited patiently for us to get living right! He never gave up on us (at least some of us). He knew when we would reach the bottom or end of ourselves and be willing to turn to Him, recognizing that He was just waiting for us!
I can’t not speak for others, but from a time of accountability (12 or thereabouts), God had to wait for me–to allow Him to reveal Himself to me. I didn’t get it until I was 36 years-old. I mean I knew about God, but I did not know Him–on a personal level. I’ve given my testimony before so I won’t bore anyone with a repeat performance, but I’m so glad He waited for me. I’m sure I missed out on some really great rewards, had I been willing to submit to Him earlier in life, but as they (don’t know who “they” is), better late than never.
There is no way–I would ever return to the life I once lived without Him, guiding me. He has been too good to me–even in the middle of chaos, confusion, and loss of family members–for me turn back into the pit that nearly cost me my life.
I can live without all the drama of trying to “be something I was never intended to be” in order to do what He desires for me to do–share the Gospel, encourage others to seek Him and live for Him.
So thinking back about how long He waited for me, I can wait a few more days to get my computer back. At least, I hope it is only a few more days. While I wait, I’ll pray, and read, and try to remember all those great story ideas and story maps, already written, but may be lost.
If you’re waiting–stay strong and trust in Him. He’ll make everything all right!

With Patience Do We Wait!

Talking about patience is a lot easier than “doing” patience!

Here am I, waiting for the return of my computer, and at first–I convinced myself to be patient. “In your souls possess you possess your patience!” Well, I guess my soul is getting a little restless or anxious because my patience is running a little thin.

Sure, I can use my little tablet for some things, but it’s not the same as using a full size keyboard and having a full size monitor on which I can actually see what I’m typing (I hope people can read this–I can barely see it).

At least I know once I receive the recovery disk, it won’t be long. I was just informed yesterday that the disc had been shipped. I’m practice deep breathing to keep me from losing it. I am so dependent upon my computer!

As a writer, who does not use “pen and paper” I am lost without my computer. And the bad thing is since the hard drive crashed, I have to start everything over from scratch if they cannot recover my documents and pictures–oh! What a mess!

Okay, now that I’ve gotten that out of the way (or out of my system), I think I can wait. And while I’m waiting, guess what I’m doing? A little of this, a little of that. I’ve walked over five miles already this week, tended the little garden planted, working on doing some housework (which I hate, but someone has to do it). Oh! I’ve actually finished two books!

Yeah, we can learn to wait with patience or at least learn to patiently wait, doing other things. If there’s a difference–let me know!

Trying to be a little humorous today so I won’t become despondent and cry over the fact that my computer has deserted me and I feel so alone and abandoned! (sniff, sniff)

God bless your day as you laugh at the antics of an older woman with vision issues and fingers that are too big and heavy for this little keyboard. Luv2luvU!

Waiting

How many times have you had to wait–for someone, for something? Learning to wait is an exercise in building character. How does it work? When we have to wait, we learn patience; while we are exercising patience, we learn to utilize the time for which we wait, constructively and productively. What happened with you the last time you exercised patience? Did you learn from the experience that not everything will always go the way you want it to go? Did you learn that people will not always do what you expect them to do, when you expect them to do it? Or did you learn that looking in a mirror is always a good place to start looking for ways to change how we wait with patience? :In our patience, possess we our souls.” While this is a hard-won lesson to learn, we must learn it lest we miss great opportunities to do great things while we wait for the promises of God to manifest themselves. “Wait on the Lord.” He will bring to pass.

Prevailing Victory

Take heart all who are not where you want to be, yet! The time is coming when all of the naysayers and scorners will see you rise in victory over everything the enemy has attempted to put in your way to hinder your success! The time is near–wait and see how The Lord prevails on your behalf! Hallelujah for victory through Christ Jesus!
