He’s Watching!

He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them–he remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. Psalm 146:6-9 NIV

No matter how gloomy the environment gets with the ways of those who claim to know God, but demonstrate they do not, we can rest assured, that nothing escapes The Lord. He hears it all, sees it all, and He will reward each and every person according to their deeds.

God is watching those who are trying to oppress by separating families and suppressing voters. He is watching those who are being detained, deported and imprisoned–unjustly. He is watching those who are trying to keep people from dreaming of better days with the totally inept and incompetent, heartless Republican Congress who would keep people from leading healthy lives.

God is watching how Republicans make a sham and mockery of saying they “serve God and country” when neither is evident with their current actions. They do not know Jesus Christ since they do not care about the poor and the needy and are doing all they can to put to death those who are not wealthy enough to afford healthcare. They are not the righteous; they are the unrighteous and all their rhetoric and deeds–in secret–and openly are known to God, and He will expose them all. There is nothing we can say that God doesn’t hear and nothing we can do that He doesn’t see. He’s watching.

It is truly unfortunate for all Americans that some had so much hatred and vitriol rising up within them they voted for hatred and racism and heartlessness to reside in the White House. Now, everyone must suffer for their lack of vision, for the Word says, without a vision, the people perish.

Here’s my vision–in 2018–we elect the party that cares about all Americans, not just some of them and rid ourselves of the menace that currently resides in the White House. In 2020, we elect a woman–with no political baggage, no ties to Russia, and no celebrity status, but a wealth of experience in knowing the challenges faced by Everyday Americans,  how to treat people and in seeking the qualified to fill positions of authority. We can do something about the current environment if we are bold enough to do what is right, more than what is politically expedient and then sit back and moan and groan with the consequences. God is watching it all and He knows how He wants to be represented in the earth, and it is not by a group of people who do not live like He wants us to live and certainly not by a toddler-in-chief who lacks maturity, wisdom, and common sense.

Just Watch

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;  they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.  “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91

“Call on Him, call on The Lord!”

When we call upon Him, acknowledging Him for who He is–The King of Kings, The Lord of Lords, the Great I Am, The Alpha and Omega, Our Rock, The Truth, The Light, The Way, Our Deliverer, Our Healer, Our Refuge–just watch and see what He does for those who love Him.

The terrorist in the White House will fail and all those surrounding him with all the lies and buffoonery will be the shame of the world, for they do not know God so they will not hear Him when He speaks. And those who support him shall know the wrath of God–measured by what they say–those who claim to know Him will suffer the most for when they say, “I know The Lord,” and yet will not live as instructed by The Lord, they lie and their punishment will be even greater.

Some of the Christian leaders who reluctantly supported 45 are now waking from the delusion and see him for who he really is and are backing away. Is it too late to repent and regroup–now ready to tell people the truth? They’ll have to try and see while the rest of us–just watch!

Those in Congress who are ignoring their oaths of office–will see just how much God does not like those who use and abuse the poor and the needy and yet support a pathological liar. Their time is coming–just watch!

Once a con man, always a con man. 45 conned his way out of paying contractors and conned banks into loaning him money by running a smooth sales pitch that made it appear that he was a successful business man. Watch closely at how he ran his businesses–especially the 17 failed ones. And then consider–how the others are only for  the rich;  for those who support him–his base supporters–the middle-class workers cannot afford to play on his golf courses or sleep in his hotels–they were conned. They bought the bull without close inspection and ended with a barren cow.

Because of his attempts to run America like one of his businesses–there will be many failures and loud screams and cries because he does not know that America is not a business and cannot be run like one.

Is there any hope for him? Only God knows. Is there any hope for the rest of us? There is always hope for those who call upon The Lord for He hears our cries and sees our plights and knows those who truly belong to Him–we can count on His Word!

Though things may appear chaotic, the truth muddled and minds deluded–just watch and see how God works on behalf of those who love Him. For God is not the author of confusion and He requires that all things be done decently and in order.

Where there is order–there is no confusion and peace reigns. Just keeping watching!

 

 

Invest Time In Doing, More Than Watching!

“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning and at evening let your hands not be idle for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.” (Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 NIV)

Does anyone remember the old adage, “a watched pot never boils?” It is not entirely true, but what happens is that while a person is watching the water, it seems to take forever to start boiling. The fact of the matter is–when water reaches a specific temperature–usually 212 F or 100 C (depending upon altitude and purity of the water), it will boil–whether we watch it or not, but the principle here is–since we know it will boil, why watch it?

When we plant seeds into the ground–planting anything–will it grow any faster if we watch it or can we tell what is going on beneath the soil when we cannot see it occurring?

Even though we cannot see (without technology) how a body is formed from conception to birth, we know–given time (unless something impedes the growth), a baby will be born. We didn’t have to watch it to make it happen.

Children, once they reach a certain age (puberty), and as long as they are brought up in a nutritionally sound environment, they grow by leaps and bounds and even if we are watching, we miss some of the subtle changes and often, we are amazed when it appears that a child has grown overnight.

The same is true of our obedience to God in order to see the promises fulfilled. When He inspires us to do something, we have no need to “watch” it, but just to do and have faith that what He has put on our hearts will succeed. If He has planted the seed, He will water it and it will grow. However, we must be certain that the seed was planted by Him and not our desires, without consulting Him.

This is what I’ve learned about my own investment of time in writing. I did not understand “why” the Lord spoke to my heart and directed me to write–explaining scripture–and blogging it daily. I did not understand why–at certain intervals in my composition of books–He stops me and has me to write something expounding on His Word–for publication. As long as I do what He is telling me to do, I know He will fulfill every promise made and honor every request I’ve put before Him.

I love watching how many people are reading my books, but sometimes–when the numbers decline (and they do), I tend to get discouraged–momentarily. And then, just like a loving parent–He reminds me that the outcome of my writing–the gift He has given me–is not about me, but it’s all on Him. I don’t have to watch the sales or how many clicks the books are receiving. I just have to write–exercising the gift He has given me. In the fullness of time–whenever that is–His promise will be seen and I don’t have to know how He accomplishes all that He does; I just have to believe it.

The million plus readers we’ve petitioned Him for are coming to past–growing daily. Now, I just have to continue to write, totally trusting Him to speak to the hearts of all He would have to read what I write, and enjoy the efforts of my labor when it’s harvest time. Glory to God! I’ve only seen the beginning of the harvest to come, but I know when it’s time to gather it in–it will be all that He planned from the beginning of time.

So, let’s not waste our time in watching (trying to understand) to see how God will bring things to past (ministry, families, careers, etc.) but trust that He will and keep doing what He’s told us to do. 

He’s Watching!

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.” (1 Peter 3:12 NLT)

When I do wrong and when I do right,,

When I think I’ve lost the fight,

I can look up and know He sees,

And be confident in His watching me!

Never will He leave me alone,

In His strength, I am strong

I am victorious in all things

Attempted, that lead to godliness,

But woe is me, when evil lurks

and I am influenced to not hear

Him when He speaks to me,

Warning, guiding, lovingly

Keeping me from harm!

With my rising every morning,

And my laying down every night,

I can count on Him who is faithful

Bringing me back into His marvelous light,

When I dare to think He cannot see,

What is done, cloaked in darkness,

When prying eyes are not around,

Of people with limited sight,

He is always with me, in the midst of every fight,

For the battle is not mine, but His,

And He has not shortened His arm

That He cannot reach down and snatch

Me from the enemy’s grip or plans to harm,

All of mankind for that’s his plan,

To destroy God’s love for all of man!

I have no need to fear, what he does,

For I have Love from high above

No limited view or clouded sight,

He know exactly what I’ll do and

How to strengthen me to stand,

Against all the wiles of the enemy

Who seeks to destroy and maim

All he can with his evil, he tames,

Those not willing to hear or see

God’s Love, not knowing just how

Much He loves and watches all we do!
