As a retired teacher with DPS, I am committed to advocating for teachers and students by imploring parents to get involved in their child’s education. This is not a time to be complacent, but a time to actively engage in the process by knowing what the legislators will do if and when elected, acting on the power that they have to control the district rather than allowing the district to control them, and by getting into the classrooms and assisting the teachers, not resisting them or fighting them as some do. Our children’s futures are at stake and now is not the time to sit idly by, twiddling thumbs. Get up and get out and involved in your child’s education before they are doomed for failure for life.
